Our language and dialects have a lot of spanish words, that's why it's easy for us to read and pronounce spanish words. Just an info Filipinos/Philippines had been colonized by Spain for 333 years.
#Pinoy Islander is not a Dailic, do You study that in school every Filipino In there Province that's A Language not dailic, some that existence that other Province do.
Mostly of Filipino can speak spanish language because of Spanish people came here in the philippines. Magellan arrives here so we can speak a little bit Spanish languages.
Not only that because we have historical facts that we used Ancient System of Writings or Alphabets & Language known as Baybayin a thousand or perhaps hundreds years old before Magellan set foot in our shores. It was replaced only by Roman/Latin Alphabets/Letters as a result of Spanish colonization. Baybayin have the same Vowels & Consonants as equivalent to Roman/Latin Letters/Alphabets.In terms of sounds & Intonation is the same both in pronunciation and in numbers ex: A E I O U vowel & B D C etc.. Consonants etc, etc. At the present very few Filipinos can write & read using that system only those scholars of archiologist who studied at the University of the Philippines! The relic found of our Ancient Writings System was found in Stone in Island of Masbate now in the Philippines Museum & a Hundreds of years old bamboo saved and preserved by a Jesuit Priest/Friar have ancient Writings of Baybayin now in a Roman Catholic Church Museum in Vatican, Rome Italy! The Baybayin have a similarity with Ancient Hindu/Sangkrit scripture of ancient India but it is not Indian in origin only some figures when we write or drawn!
Marcelito Pomoy is our Filipino pride.. He is pure Fiipino, no vocal training.. Its all by himself only. He does'nt know how to speak spanish. You can check his video in America's Got Talent, the champion edition as one of the acts, to represent the Philippines. 💖 He is an amazing singer and you will discover his childhood life once you saw his video in AGT.
A big round of applause to a living Legend ! Marcelito practiced his nice dual voice singing technique when he was working in the poultry farm and a construction firm...
Its only goes to show that there are already dozens if not thousands of filipino vocalists and balladers that r just as talented as our professional singers but this dude is exceptional he has got two voices all rolled into one🇵🇭
The Filipino Language has Spanish, Malay, Chinese, Indian and English words that are integrated mix that consist of the Filipino Language that's why we are comfortable speaking it naturally.
Marcelito is famous for being able to sing in a female soprano voice, as well a male tenor or baritone voice. What you heard here is just one of his voices. He can imitate any singer, man or woman, even duets in any language or genre. I assume he just imitates the phonetic sounds even if he doesn't know the language of the original singer/singers.

Hello Miss Jez I'm a new subscriber and I am very proud of Marcelito Pomoy being a Filipino he is a very good singer and he can even sing with the voice of a girl like "The Prayer" and can hit high notes very talented person

So there is still a chance that the surprise isn't ruined (unless a commenter gives it away).

We are Filipino and we are colonized for almost 400years by the Spaniards that is why we speak some spanish words and we have dialect the same with spanish.
Hi Jez! As you've found in your responses to your vlog, Marcelito is a Filipino from the Philippines. Just a bit of history of the Island Nation, it use to be a Spanish colony for more than 300 years. As a result the native people had to learn Spanish. So you will see Spanish sir names across the country. Similarly to my little island of Guam. Spain missed us in their first travel through the Pacific when they landed in the Philippines. You can guess where Magellan got the name for the islands he sailed into. Notice, I didn't say discovered. Any way, during the 300+ years of colonization, the native language called Tagalog adopted many Spanish words. As you've noticed, the clarity of his use of Spanish words was mostly accurate, though Spanish is not his national language. I would say now, if you want to meet a fluent Spanish speaker from the Philippines you'd have to speak to the elders. The lolas and lolos of the country. Those who've survived the colonization of Spain over the islands and then the switch over to American rule after the Spanish/ American War. Guam went through similar changes. If you listen to a native Tagalog speaker you can get a clue as to what is being talked about because of small similarities between Tagalog and Spanish.

Hello Miss Prada, Marcelito Pomoy is Filipino and we lhave Spanish Course at the University. We don't speak Spanish but we know a bit. Besides Marcelito is a gifted Singer and wherever he gets invited and/ or Concerts, he would learn the language, learn a Song so he can sing as a gift for like Chinese people invited him in their Party and he sang a Chinese Song for them, Amazing ha? That's how good he is.
His from the philippines.and he can sing The prayer with dual voice male and female...the power of love he sound like Celine Dion..Never Enough,, sing better than the original singer..Endless Love with dual voice..and many more songs he can sing great..
His defining moment in the world stage is his audition of THE PRAYER by icons A. Bocelli n C. Dion. That garnered him the unprecedented millions of vote in AGT history he was the expectant winner, or so the world thought. Pre-recorded as it already was, Cowell, the show producer never anticipated the unbelievable crazy vote turnout for Marcelito leaving AGT particularly the show producer Cowell, at a loss the mathematical improbability of Marcelito settling for the proverbial dust Try her cover of Celine Dion's POWER OF LOVE on the Wish Bus for you to hear his range.

Spanish is a Philippine National Language before US took the country.

Es que Filipinas había sido una colonía española por 333 años y la influencia española en campos de cultura y idioma permanece. Saludos desde Filipinas!
