Interesting fact: Most Air China aircraft bear the Chinese flag but there are a select few of the B737, A320, and A330 series do not bear the flag and these aircraft are mainly used to fly to Taiwan due to tense political issues!
don't really approve of operating wide body jets on international & domestic short haul routes . . . short haul is the domain of narrow body jets, such as the B737-800 & A321-200 Neo . . . Japan Airlines has been operating B747-200 & B747-400 wide body quad jets on it's domestic short haul routes since the mid 1990s . . . some of these domestic flights lasting less than 30 mins . . .
Because Japan has a high domestic travel demand and narrow body's won't be able to handle the amount so is more efficient for ANA and JAPAN AIRLINES to use widebodys

@ This was taken after that. Probably under the winter schedule they have upgraded the equipment to the A339 from A321😃
