I bought a 68' F 250 about a year ago and then stumbled upon your channel. I am by no means a mechanic but have learned a ton just from watching your videos. Keep up the good work and I agree with the comment about details while you do this. Awesome channel and by far my favorite! Good luck!
You can get it done, Craig. I barely have the guts to keep working on my '77. If I had half your drive to build it, it'd be done by now. Looking forward to following the process.
Hey this is really cool Craig take your time the truck will be sweet that's why they say you learn new stuff everyday buddy keep up the great work your buddy 1manshop
Can you try to show off the most details as possible? If not thats cool, I'm planning on doing the exact thing with a 72 ford i have and I'm trying to get the best ideas of how to go about it. Thanks in advance and good luck!
as always another cool video. if you get a chance. you need to check out a fellow you tuber. type in texas know how. he has done what you are starting. when you install the explorer rear end look episode 11 i think that,s the right number. all you have to do is off set drill the hole on the spring pad. he even shows how to make a jig to drill it. about your friends 52. they looked like that in 55 also. there was what Chevy called a first series that looked like your friends truck, and then there was what they called a late series. they looked pretty much the same from 55 all the way up to 59.
Your friend should put his truck on a 69 through 72 Chevrolet truck frame that way he has modern suspension and can put disc brakes and a modern gas tank and fuel system on it.
I haven't watched all your videos yet but have you thought about doing a crown Vic complete frame under a 71 short bed? I've heard everything will work even the gauge cluster from the crown Vic fits in the dash of the truck.
@thecraig909 you should really check out Nathan's Garage, he is another fellow that has done a few of these and they turn out well! And he is in Cali as well!
That's awesome man I've never done a frame off this will be an awesome build, are you using your 302 and 5 speed or going with a 4.6? Either way can't wait to see it built best of luck on the build
So Craig will the build be going on everyday or just few days within weeks you choose? I only ask because the F100 is your daily driver but the C/10 is still around but for sale. But if you’re not going to drive the Chevy lol then what’s the backup vehicle while the F100 is being built?
Way cool! Have you decided what engine/trans you're going to use? Makes me wish I was 18 Again! I always did engines and transmissions and other things, but never a chassis from scratch either. Never had the room or anybody around with the know-how. Looking forward to future videos! Congratulations on getting going!
You know if you don't want to change the f100 you could get another ford body and have one your daily while the other one could be your hot rod and all cleaned up
chas corwin i would like to see that lol but if you put a 460 with his transmission 3 on the three. That transmission wouldn’t last because the 460 is a high torque I believe but its a beefy monster
SO WHAT YRS., R THE CROWN VIC,. FRAME & WHY THAT YR,....?? COULDN'T YA USE ANY YR,. OR NO... & WHY.....??? ... IS DUSTY'S FRAME THE SAME YR., AS HIS 52 CHEVY CAB .....?? OR NO.......
Great color green on that 52 looks sweet!

A crown vic with a f100 engine in it....pure genius!

Looking forward to watching what you do with your chassis...I've got a 68 F100 long bed that I'm thinking of doing the Crown Vic in

3L73 means it’s 3.73 gears and a limited slip. Not a locker.

07.20 clearly time to allign that engine according to frame
Where did you get the cool ford truck shirt?
Why didn't u balance frame across the rear end to roll it out front?
I dub it the Crownhick f100
Buick nailhead in that Ford truck?
Whatever happened to this chassis? Need to see it comeback (unless u sold it?)
Nice video!
Cool

Are you going to put bigger gears in on the 8.8 bro

65f100352 I think he is going to use the same setup
DHG DARKNESS tremec 5spd and the same 302
You know if you don't want to change the f100 you could get another ford body and have one your daily while the other one could be your hot rod and all cleaned up
This is gonna be such an awesome build. I'm sorry if I missed it but, what engine are you putting in it?
Try to do some live streams while you do it
Weird having the Nailhead in a Ford, can you guys not pick up a cheap Ford V8 for it?
ThatFord needs a 4 barrel Carburetor.
Admiral Sandwich it has a 4 barrel
The green one not Craigs
Ik Craig has a 4-barrel edelbrock
🙂
Bro what happened to your friends jeep truck
look at aron kuffman for info on crown vic front end install and parts
Wait wait wait. Your truck is going on the crown vic? Nooo! Another car :(
Still trying to sell the c10
can someone explain what he is building i am confused
i just want a 460 in the f100 lol
chas corwin i would like to see that lol but if you put a 460 with his transmission 3 on the three. That transmission wouldn’t last because the 460 is a high torque I believe but its a beefy monster
The Coronet Shop but it would be dope until it breaks he could put a zf5 or something also
Please use discretion when moving your camera I was left with seasickness after some of the video you shots.
