  • Simple, no frills wood processing techniques with a khukuri. This kind of stuff is very applicable to yardwork, gardening, bushcraft and camp duties. First knife is our falo and the second is a classic scourge from Kailash Blades. As you can see, a good blade can make for very light work.

I have a custom khukuri made by Kailash and now that the snow is gone, I've finally been able to test it out at camp (inaccessible in the winter without a snowmobile). When you can chop down a leaning tree in less than 5 minutes (only about 7 inches in diameter) with ZERO technique (because I'm a newbie), that really say something about the quality of the edge/steel and the design.

Hell yeah! Thanks a bunch. Which custom was it? I'm not familiar with the username sorry. And don't worry, technique will come in time and you'll be taking the trees down in half that time

@@Voimakas Ah of course! A real recent knife. We're super happy with how that went and we might even have a few more full tang blades in the works because of how impressed people were with it

One day, when all thos Covid BS is over and work starts rolling again, I will have to get this generation of the Scourge to keep my old KHHI one company. In the mean time I feel pretty good knowing that mine has stood the test of years and would likely ride shotgun with me through any troubles ahead.

Not really sorry, but it's my personal favourite camp knife and I can recommend it very highly. Lean enough for food prep, fast enough for brush clearing, and powerful enough to fell saplings. Also quite beautiful. Mine is the one photographed on the website, I've had it for 5 years now
