Lobbying is also needed because the politicians mostly aren't experts on the matters that they are making decicions. They need outside opinions from experts of different fields. Like making a legistlation on healthcare needs heathcare professionals and corporations to express their opinions and estimates of the effects of different legistlations. That's directly influencing the politicians aka lobbying. Lobbying is necessary but there shouldn't be money involved. So, to me the campaign funding is the actual legal lobbying and by far biggest problem. Companies and organizations like NRA funding politicians that are willing to advance their interests with millions. That kind of money will certainly compel some politicians to go against their own values and the interests of their voters and their country.

No money changes hands, and no drinks are shared, the most important interest groups are asked for their opinions, so that policy makers can get their perspective. It's supposed to get sent to as wide a rage of interests as possible. To me, that's just common sense. I struggle to see any reason to do it any other way.

The interests of the people overall must come at prices on the individual. There are real consequences for coming to understand what it means to even invent concepts like the military, the police, any kind of government at all. The West is overall winning the Cold War and the Communists are almost completely depleted and Russia is weakened and China will be weakened. But they were powerful and they are still dangerous so successfully countering them.......what they're willing to do, forces our hand to employ similar dark tactics, like bombing Dresden and nuking Japan. Basically, the only reason we do these things is because we believe that what our rivals are doing is even worse And we believe that we come out ahead. It is good for Poland that France wishes to arm to defend you from Russia. @@roeetal13 The problem was the illegal immigration of Europeans and other ethnic group into the holy land, the solution is taking them back to where they came from. If those Europeans can exile hundred of thousands of people, then the natives should be able to do the same them. Native Jews have lived in the holy land long enough to form ties with the other tribes in that land, even went as far as intermarrying with them so they're already integrated into the culture and society in that land. Calling it Palestine or Israel is arbitrary, the land needs its old demographic that wasn't bombarded with forced foreign migration. Lose the intruding element in that land, you lose the conflict. People can then decide if they want to be an independent state, or be part of a bigger Syria or whatever meets the indigenous people's collective interests.

You're so close but so far. Israel would be at the center of controversy of the world even if the entire US sank into the sea like Atlantis and there never was a Protestant Reformation and British Israelism didn't exist either. Take the US and the UK out of the equation and you would still have the Persians and the Greeks fighting over Israel just like you did back in the way back when. The US might have invented TV and the Internet and the Nuclear Bomb and the Moon Landing, But nothing done in the new world matches the significance of the City of Jerusalem, and by the way, it's important to Muslims to, who are projected to outnumber Christians in the world because of the rising populations of India and Indonesia. If Christianity simply stopped existing, Jerusalem actually would still be important, and would only be more important than ever once European Christian antisemitism was taken off the table. First and foremost there should be no lobbies. Period. Save that of the taxpaying US citizen to petition his / her congressman or senator. Secondly, as a point of reason as the first point speaks for itself, there should be NO Israel Lobby anymore than there should be a Russian Lobby, an Afghanistan Lobby, a Palestinian Lobby, etc., etc. These "countries" and Non-citizens have the embassies from which to transact international issues through the State Department. Thirdly, as a matter of complete transparency on behalf of the so-called "public servants," there should be NO DUAL CITIZENSHIP. Period. That's just common sense and even though a few Western countries operate in that realm, just like us, we suffer for such a policy, making citizenship even less valuable....sorry folks, but "We the People" should be in charge, not rich elites all over the world dictating our laws. Dual loyalty is just plain stupid. Fourthly, as in sync with #1, there should be no "corporate lobbies," either. In that corporations are treated as "people" (but w/ a whole lot of immunity via lobbying Big Pharma for example), they should not "OWN" other such "people"...meaning, no corporation can own another. Just think what that would do to the power structures that be, especially considering that for the most part, one corporation, owns most of the stock in everything else...so much for the spirit of the anti-trust laws we have. Vanguard owns most of Black Rock, and Black Rock owns shares in Vanguard, and State Street, and Berkshire Hathaway, etc., etc. I hope you can see where I'm going with this. It has tried multiple times to come to an agreement with the palestinian governments in order to form a two state solution but they never agreed. So in that regard Israel is definitely following the will of it's people.

No money changes hands, and no drinks are shared, the most important interest groups are asked for their opinions, so that policy makers can get their perspective. Calling it Palestine or Israel is arbitrary, the land needs its old demographic that wasn't bombarded with forced foreign migration. Lose the intruding element in that land, you lose the conflict. People can then decide if they want to be an independent state, or be part of a bigger Syria or whatever meets the indigenous people's collective interests.

The reason is simple. The U.S.A is over 70%, Christian and unlike many other branches of the faith around the world, the U.S branch sees Jews and Judaism as God's chosen people. A sort of sibling relationship between the two holds them together. This bond is strong and it is a good source for politicians who favor national unity when elections come up.

First and foremost there should be no lobbies. Period. Save that of the taxpaying US citizen to petition his / her congressman or senator. Secondly, as a point of reason as the first point speaks for itself, there should be NO Israel Lobby anymore than there should be a Russian Lobby, an Afghanistan Lobby, a Palestinian Lobby, etc., etc. These "countries" and Non-citizens have the embassies from which to transact international issues through the State Department. Thirdly, as a matter of complete transparency on behalf of the so-called "public servants," there should be NO DUAL CITIZENSHIP. Period. That's just common sense and even though a few Western countries operate in that realm, just like us, we suffer for such a policy, making citizenship even less valuable....sorry folks, but "We the People" should be in charge, not rich elites all over the world dictating our laws. Dual loyalty is just plain stupid. Fourthly, as in sync with #1, there should be no "corporate lobbies," either. In that corporations are treated as "people" (but w/ a whole lot of immunity via lobbying Big Pharma for example), they should not "OWN" other such "people"...meaning, no corporation can own another. Just think what that would do to the power structures that be, especially considering that for the most part, one corporation, owns most of the stock in everything else...so much for the spirit of the anti-trust laws we have. Vanguard owns most of Black Rock, and Black Rock owns shares in Vanguard, and State Street, and Berkshire Hathaway, etc., etc. I hope you can see where I'm going with this. Get rid of these "lobbyists" and go back to each district consisting of 50,000 people, force them to operate within their respective districts...NO D.C. and see just how fast and good we fix the issues we currently have. We were founded on getting rid of the elite power structures as a Constitutional Republic...and for the past 150 years, we have let it slip away, one piece at a time.

Uh your comment at 7:16 makes no sense, Israel itself supports the two state resolution. It has tried multiple times to come to an agreement with the palestinian governments in order to form a two state solution but they never agreed. Im Israeli and im against my country being military financial dependent on the US. We need to stand militarily strong on our own like we did until the 70's and be able to manifacture or buy whatever equipment that we like. Our economy is strong enough and US aid is just crippling israel's military industry by making us buy Lokhid Martin's goods instead of making our own jets like the Lavi (which the US made us stop manifacture).
