- Quick video on installing a 1TB SSD in your NAS. Synology makes this very easy.
1TB drive used in the video: a.co/d/j5eO1Wf
Official Synology drive (for storage pools): a.co/d/hbAB6cD
Volume is low. Need to boost audio. Good video though!
Good feedback, will correct in future vids thanks
I just bought DS 923+ .all I use it is for storing my videos and watching them on my Vision Pro. By adding this NVM - does. make it faster for me ? at times. There is a lag with large files if so, should I get a one terabyte or 2 TB. Thank you for all you do.
does it make any difference in your write/ read speed i am going with Samsung 990 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 its a good choice or not please tell
I would not spend money on a top end drive for this application- you’d really only notice in synthetics benchmarks
it makes no difference if you use a faster one because the speed depends on the maximum NAS storage it can provide, for example the NAS DS923+ read/write speed is only a maximum of 550 MBytes.
