What do you think of the spray-on clothing technique?

Some place greater importance on 'price paid' and 'approval of others' than on actual quality.

Spray-on clothing was written in a scifi novel back in the 1970's, so it's literally futuristic.
Funniest part for me is the piece of gue stuck to her fingers she is trying to get rid off without anyone noticing. 😅

The future is now.
Nothing new under the sun- I suggest u try work that out cos it’s all old technology revamped for a new era- 1 day not in our see able future but your grandkids grandkids futures we will strike oil in the grounds of Montana- if I’m wrong then ask yourself why is it not being used in our life-

"No, silly! I'm dating a Pisces!"
This is nanofiber. You can see how the fibers connect to one another as they’re sprayed, creating web-like structures that eventually form a whole. Not a lot of applications of this have been tried and tested yet, but the possibilities are actually endless and will greatly impact our near future. You can see one hypothetical application on 3 Body Problem.
I wonder if this is reactive or harmful on the skin in any way, to have it sprayed like that?
@@dustinyoung3069 With an oil or some other protectant applied to the skin first, not really. The composition is likely oleophobic so that it’s easily removed from the skin. I could see a small issue if the skin were not bare first such as with body hair becoming enmeshed in the fibers, or if there wasn’t a base layer to spray on top of instead. I think most of the concern would be with the aerosols it may be mixed with here over anything. But it really depends on the particular composition we’re seeing used here, which none of us are privy to.
@@theehighvision What if the skin is hairy just like in some men, will the fiber get entangled with the hair?
Sure there are no PBO's involved?

It’s so funny how serious high fashion takes itself sometimes, like their so caught up in how “unique” and how it’s “never done before” that they don’t realize they’re literally spraying silly string on a person and calling it a dress
I doubt they’re so unaware of themselves. Camp is deeply woven (lol) into the fabric of high fashion. Most of these people know this is a bit silly, but that just elevates it further.
alien spaceship crew have had this for years
11 years back i as a fashion designing student mentioned this in my final presentation about different manmade fabrics. And everyone loved it. I was very young and had no idea how such things are harmful. After 11 years, as a designer i .now understand that natural fibres are only good for your skin and environment.
That's very sweet. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same needs and for a lot of the drawbacks that fashion trends can have they also provide marginalized individuals with special care requirements the access to materials and ideas like this which take centuries or more of interpersonal relationships to maintain. Take my glasses, for example. By nature I would have likely died before puberty, so I'm personally not concerned with absorbing microplastics from my frames bc at least I can see well enough to work my job and feed myself.
Point being, a blindish man can see his tools and a confident woman can model dangerous ideas. I'm happy we're able to do what we enjoy.
So, you think the "only" attributes of natural fibres are that they are "good for your skin and environment"?!
JOOI - what do natural fibres contribute to one's skin OR the environment?! 🤔
@@trueaussie9230 natural fibres doesn't take longer time to decompose.
And unnatural fibres release micro polymer in the environment and also it's going to your body.
That might be one of the reasons of increase in cancer cases.
@@ShriyaPujari
Taking less time to decompose does not CONTRIBUTE anything to the envitlronment.
It's just less of a DETRIMENT to the environment.
The decomposition time contributes nothing to one's skin.
BTW - many things MIGHT prove to contribute to the increase in cancer cases. Even 'natural fibres', eg asbestos. 😉😊
I'm confident cotton, silk, wool, etc do nothing to DECREASE the incidence of cancer cases.
"Everyone" loved your presentation. 🤔
Young enthusiastic academics are very easily impressed and are too self-absorbed - and lack the practical experience - to critically assess the presentations of their peers.

no she only had on panties. didnt you guys watch the full clip
@@ChickenFerLei have another theory .She was wearing a "skin" under her bra and undies which is so sheer and so close to the colour of her natural skin colour it is undetectable ( similar to the mesh that is on ballet costumes or figure skating costumes except much finer). So it could have been in the shape of a full unitard with shoulder straps and full length footless leggings. When she walked the legs are close together so when sprayed it can forrn the shape of the skirt part of the dress and the bodice. The perfect shoulder straps would be made by adjusting eg twisting the straps of the "skin" where the spray has adhered to so nothing falls apart . Hope that makes sense.

How did the front of the dress not conform to her legs? The video conveniently edits out that part. One second it's coating her legs and the next it's perfectly flat in front of them?
No they didn't. Look again. You can see the fibres in the spray forming a fabric hanging between the front of her thighs even before the cut.
They did not show that part. They had to put the slit in and likely peeled the fabric off of her skin at the hip line. Her stance is wide front to back to start, likely to create more fabric for walking.
