Lauren, you are so right. Eating meals at the table together is the best. Everyone is facing one another and talking, instead of with a plate on their laps, watching TV or, worse, a phone screen. I always made sure we ate together as a family as much as possible, even when our four kids were busy with activities. They're now all grown, but they come over every Sunday for family dinner. I love it!
Absolutely love your local store, very quaint and special. Always, always support your local vendors, it does make a difference. You can always find unique special items.

I love that you take breaks when your body tells you to. I’m 66 and my body yells at me sometimes 😂😂. As Lauren knows I pick up my grandson from school everyday and then we play, do homework, and make dinner for the family. By the end of the day my body needs rest as well and I go to bed to chill ms relax around 8 every night. Thank you for sharing a wonderful fall day. Love you Lauren. Prayers for the girls ❤

I would love a Christian run gift shop like your favourite one! So much talent on show in the shop. I love eating fish BUT sadly the one fish I can’t stand in any way shape or form is Salmon. I eat a lot of tuna, and Hoki.
Salmon is not for everyone! Thankfully we have some great ways to cook it that our family enjoys, since we have so much of it.

After watching your videos I ordered Geometry paper towels for my three adult daughters for christmas. They are supposed to arrived this week. I’m so excited! I’m trying to get things for them that are eco friendly.
That is such a great idea!! Hope they love them.
I use a can pumpkin and cake mix. I got the recipe online somewhere years ago and it has been a huge hit each year when I make for friends, work, and family
What flavor cake mix?
I have used spice and made muffins. Great with pumpkin tea.
@ThisAlaskaLife personally fudge moist cake mix, my sister like the pumpkin spice cake mix, and there a chocolate Halloween cake mix that has sprinkle bits mixed in the cake mix. The big can of pumpkin u used, u can use two cake mixes with one whole can. Just follow the directions on the box for baking. U don't need another ingredients unless u want to add more. This doesn't need any toppings like icing or glaze but if it's not sweet enough glaze would be best as icing will take away from the muffin :) 😀 thank you for responding this was a nice surprise to come home from church with !
Lauren you should add peanut butter frosting on spice cake it's my husband's favorite it sounds crazy but it's yummy! We in Wisconsin love your family!

You could find some nice decorations to do the baby’s room! Great cooking but I would of put some leaf sprinkles on the glazed cookies for a very fall look. I love those out of the way shops like that!

Just a quick tip for you and others if they would like it. I, like you, do not like the texture of frozen carrots. However, there is a great way of freezing those you want to use up. Steam or boil the carrots that you chop up to whatever size you want the pieces. Once cooked drain the carrots and then mash them up with butter and seasoning. Once you have the consistency you want, place the mash into freezer bags and freeze. This can be used as a side dish or added to stews or soups and make a great addition. You will be so pleased with the result. One of my veg rescue recipes!

Mashed carrots and parsnips is my Christmas side dish.Definitely a good way of using veg rather than wasting it
