What I like about your journal is that it really is an actual “journal”! That sounds so obvious, but so many people’s junk journals are more like (often very lovely) scrap books. It was really nice to see yours full of personal reminders of that time’s journey. Thank you for showing us.
Hi Brittany!! I think your journal is so amazingly beautiful. I love writing and never thought of doing a journal like this but you have definitely inspired me. My mother passed away last August and she had beautiful penmanship but towards the end she couldn't even write so when I packed up all her stuff, I keep everything I could find with her writing on it. The small things we can take for granted right? Thank you so much for sharing such personal memories and things with us. xoxo
Im so glad you were able to keep some of her writing! It really is the little things. Im so happy to hear you felt inspired. Thank you for your sweet comment :)
Hello Brittany, your journal is beautiful! That August and September page comes from The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden. She was an amazing artist. You'd love that book, it has lovely paintings of plants and such as well as her handwriting. It has every month depicted in it.
Wow thank you so much! I know I’ve seen other creators use pages like that but I just never knew what book it was called so now I gotta find it (: hehe
Hi Brittany, from the Fraser Valley of BC! Your journal is great. I will probably make journals for other people, as I am not into writing about my life. I already do scrapbooks also. I am in the midst of making a journal to document my quilt projects. However it is kind of like a scrapbook too. A crafty friend of mine gave me a travellers notebook that she made. I’ll definitely use that somewhat like a journal when we finally go on another cruise in September.I have just subscribed so I can see what else you do.
I managed to get two of Edith Holden books, The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden from op shops here in New Zealand for $4.00 ,absolutely love them for my journals. Have subscribed to your youtube
Love the picture of you and your grandma dressed as ghosts. So sweet!
