If those Lm281 series diodes truly are 90+ CRI rating, then the light is a decent grow light, but not a great one....because: 3000k lights by themselves don't grow plants as well as 2,700k by itself. The reason is that 3000k doesn't have enough Red. That's why a 2,700k light by itself grows plants better, because it has more of the Reds. A 5000k light by itself doesn't grow plants as good as a 6500k light by itself, and it's because the 5k doesn't have enough Blues. The only reason a plant grows under 6500k so well is because of the Blues. The only reason a plant under 2,700k grows so well is because of the Reds. You have to give the plants both and in pure form WITH the other colors in the spectrum that our full spectrum Led's can provide. So first the light must be at least 90 CRI pure light. Or you might as well grow your plants under CFL lights..................anything 80 CRI and under is the same as a CFL or worse. Not a clean pure light at all, and the plant doesn't get much Usable light from it as a result. So the best grow lights (to just make the plant grow and grow with normal shape and symmetry) is one with a CRI rating of 90+ for cleaner usable light. And then it needs an even ratio of 2,700k and 6,500k leds, so that it pulls off an overall color temperature of about 4,000k Natural Daylight color. This gives the plant plenty of the 2.7k Red spectrum to grow with, and plenty of the 6.5K Blue spectrum to grow with......as well as everything in between. A separate dimmer knob having only the deep Red leds and red IR diodes is for bloom and flower enhancement. But the overall light needs to grow the plant Symmetrically like the Sun does. That way it will produce everything it can produce all in one plant. Not a plant with large leaves and a skinny stalk, or a plant with a thick stalk tiny leaves....or a plant that is squatted and bushy when in nature it's tall and lanky....etc..
All led lights are to expensive to the ppfd, the sunlight came *directly* thats what the leafes and flowers gear to the sun, the flowers and leaves needs the warming waves to switch in slowmition from east to the northwest light bevor the sunrising, there follow the sunrise, and led lights with optics works better like the real sunlight, but mostly all growlights havent not a full spectrum: blue to green and orange and uv-a.b.c. vor calcium metabolism and protect for bugs and milbs and uvc to desinfect/ sterilised and deep and far red,,,, mostly to less WHEN the growlight have this!!!!! And when i dimm the jelvin is going down??? No,,,, so mostly all lights are not sunlike!!!! Cheaper smd with optics make a better and very cheaper light for many people there have not enough money to get a expensive light, and 100+ degree is sending light to the walls,,, so thats defently not good, all the light its better when its came with - -40 degree, thats the best when the dimmable lights to get dimming, the penetration is the key to have NOT to long internodes!!!!! Sorry dirk s. for my terrible german schoolenglisch: i mean all led grow lights have not real sunspectrum, and i know, green is in the led lights but defently NOT enough like real sun, and ir is pure warming and plants needs all warming-waves from the sun in the same intensity to follow to the sunrise, so defently have all led lights to less: green, orange, deep red, far red, and all uv's, the natur is mostly pure green on this planet, jes, you right, thats from the high green-sun"output" not dark-rusty-orange/purple/black-leaves (cannabis) that leafecolours was a genetic-manipulation from the first led lights tests in 1995+ from the earlyst led farming institutes!!!

Well.. I got mine and setting it up took 15-20min. No need for resting cables lol wtf that even means? I got older model that hangs from the cable and I got 0 worries. Really weird bashing as end of the day they are great lights.
@@steveod1the only reason he chose those Samsung lm281b diodes is because they are a lot cheaper to buy thats all lol
remote driver is a con? lol wut
Lol he’d rather have more heat inside his tent than having to deal with cleaning his wires up. What a joke of a con
Not a plant with large leaves and a skinny stalk, or a plant with a thick stalk tiny leaves....or a plant that is squatted and bushy when in nature it's tall and lanky....etc..
thanks for the thoughtful and informative post
why are most of these new leds running 3/5k mixed diodes rather than 3k/6.5k mix?
British built .No Chinese cr.p like mars hydro cr.p.
It's made in china soz
"Ch. i na"
Wasn't Aware Dublin Was In Ireland?
British build?? lol, the lights are build in China, and Shane('s company) is Irish, so no, not british build by any measure...😅
I think they're too expensive myself
Hope my schoolenglish was ok enough to understand me, im not shure🤷!!!! Wish you all best!!!! Greedings from the german wrongdog
>Bullsheit- cause Plants Don't use Infra Red, which makes the "warm" Sunlight. Best "Penetrating" Photons are the Green Photons, which are plenty in Full Spectrum Lights. Educate yourself and stop telling Fairy Tales.
Greedings
Im educate, but mi english is to terrible for you, whats wrong in my first post? You can translate to german!!!
