    Why you have to add a bottle of red wine in the ice chiller?

      Because generally the ideal serving temps for red wines are 60-63 degrees (all personal preference though). The U-Chill will maintain the ideal serving temp once it's uncorked and served vs. setting the bottle on the counter and letting it come up to room temp (too warm for most people).
