But for the small business unit that Prime has had for going on 20 years of truckers who own their own equipment, there's no one that's going to be installing inward-facing cameras on our equipment without our consent. And i do not consent.
But you will be moving prime freight. What if they require cameras inside your personal truck in order to move their freight? They will require it and if you deny, what’s going to happened?
I personally feel as though if I’m ace leasing I should have a choice or be able to provide my own camera. I purchased and have my own in the truck and that should be more than enough. The first lease and company drivers sure but if I’m buying this truck it should be in the truck. Because the camera is the only thing prime doesn’t charge you for
100 percent not getting called in early, I'm 12 students In and have yet had that happen, if that's the case they'd just change it back to 30k , with 50k miles, look to get off the truck at 60k lol

I know it sounds backwards, but if you play sports you would know that the coach kinda know who is ready from who is not. They know what it takes.
I got my trainer Thursday i hit the road Friday from pa to nc. Now we on a load from nc to pa. That truck stamina no joke. First day i drove a semi i drove for 2 n half hours. Yesterday i drove for 4 before my trainer wanted to call it a night. My trainer already told me if they get the inward camera he quitting. Hopefully its not true through guys a good trainer i believe
Yes I see drivers put foot on dashboard but is the left foot the one to the window but I hate seeing that it's a girl thing that to me on i see two guys in truck also and the passenger have foot up on dashboard pass me all the time I hate that tell them stop it girls alone should have feet on dashboard especially when a guy is driving could never do that with me in that truck one of us would have to get out driving or not no man foot or feet up my dashboard when am in that truck I curse evertime I saw them get me mad believe me I need to see lady's foot or feet up guys needs to stop running the lady's in compition lady's can't do nothing now as days without guys competing give the lady's a chance , please

Front facing cameras are actually beneficial to the driver in case of an accident claiming driver was distracted. Invasion of privacy, I call BS. You have a choice to leave, then. Seen so many drivers with their feet on the dash, texting, watching movies. Inward cameras are more beneficial and can be blamed on drivers for their implementation. Same with elog, many drivers abusing paper logs.
We as drivers have to stop, trying to find a positive and inward-facing cameras. They’re simply there to take liability off the company and put it on the driver. God for bid this ever happens, but let’s say you’re driving then a car comes across the barrier and you hit it head on and someone dies a good lawyer will subpoena that footage and say oh look 1/4 mile back you were distracted when you took a sip of your coffee. you were thinking about your coffee leading up to the incident there for making you liable for the four wheeler death. There’s an actual case that happened where a truck driver went over his logs by 15 minutes. three days later he’s at a red light and a bunch of drunk teens crash into the rear of his trailer at the red light, killing all the teens inside the car. The lawyer sai d if you didn’t go over your logs by 15 minutes, three days earlier you would have never been at that red light. The driver is doing a life sentence because of that. Those cameras won’t do anything for you but make your job more difficult & show video proof to hold you liable on the simplest things You’ll see
I'm hoping I won't have a problem with the camera because when I have had a pic taken with an AI camera it thinks my eyes are closed. I don't have a thing to hide but I do believe this could be a bad thing. Lawyers can use anything to make us at fault. A drink of coffee or a cig, etc. I pray I never have to face an accident.
