I think the problem with Madison is that people will just see her as a social media influencer rather than a musician.
It’s like those youtubers who get into acting or singing. They may have talent, but we still just see them as youtubers 🤷♀️
based on literally every video I've seen of her, it looks like she is constantly thinking about how she looks at all times, so she is not expressive whatsoever and comes off as robotic.
Yeah and many people misconceive her scandals by not doing enough research. For example, many people think she staged a photoshoot at a blm protest but the paparazzi that took the pictures admitted to lying and said she joined the others with the protest afterwards

What I like about Madison is that she actually does care about making music. She has inspirations and experiences and she’s actually putting it into use, unlike others who are doing it just for a cash grab. Can’t wait to see how far she’ll go.
Life Support is such a great album. I think it's the matter of people still latching onto the Vine stars era that keep pushing her down. What she needs from her label is promo - exactly what Shawn Mendes did to break out of this social media star mold.

Even though I really feel like her album was relatable.. it was a lot ab dark shit. Most of breakup songs or songs about being sad and or depressed, are so easy going, like „yeah, I’m gonna be fine without you anyway and you can’t hurt me“. Even though most of the time it’s not like that. But she was honest and real, about how stuff can be really consuming, gut wrenching and extremely hurtful. Not just. I truly loved this album, it pisses me off a-lot that she is being compared to everything and everyone on this planet, let her be her and let her shine, I truly think she is unique and I love her voice and her music.
I know she didn’t have to prove herself. But she truly did with this album. And Imma be honest, I started listening to her because she was pretty and stayed for songs like Hurts Like Hell, Dear Society and Selfish. And I was sold.
That album is a masterpiece with such a unique sound and I really hope people will finally start taking her seriously, because she’s really creative and she grew so much in the past few years.

I have to disagree with your opinion on good in goodbye. It's amazing imo, and it's one of the few songs that my bf actually likes ont the album (although he doesn't speak english haha). But I appreciate the lyrics although I agree they are simple.

This album was so amazing and cohesive. I can’t believe how good it is. I’m obsessed with effortlessly. I love baby, selfish, homesick, and everything happens for a reason. Every song helps create a story and it’s so unique to her.

I personally love Madison’s album, and it’s my favorite album rn. I think what really screwed her over was tiktok. Like this summer how she got “cancelled” for literally nothing, and now people don’t really like her because of the false rumors being spread on there. Tiktok is toxic in general, and I think joining that platform was the worst she could do.

Her debut album is IT. I don't generally listen to pop (coz i'm more into R&B/hiphop) but this was such a well-written and well-produced album. It was a storytelling. It was quite refreshing to be honest.

I think you missed a massive opportunity to talk about her songs where she portrays the character Evelynn from the game League of Legends. That has been a massive step for her expanding her audience and she has done an amazing job on sound track. Her branching out and collaborating with other artists (in this case studios) has been massive to her growth over the last couple of years.

I had never listened to any of her old stuff so this album was the first time I was listening to her and based on the album cover and her looks, I was just expecting another regular pop starlet music, nothing too experimental, stuff for the radio but this album was so much more than that... this girl really has some artistry on her mind. She already has a great voice but she isn't afraid to make risky and creative production choices. She is way more creative than your average pop starlet and she definitely deserves more credit for that.

I too cringe hard when that one line comes up. Selfish is one of my favorite songs. The vocals and lyrics in the song are outstanding. But the Gemini line throws me off. And everyone in the comments were like “omg the Gemini line is so relatable” “that line is so deep”

Honestly i wasn’t always crazy about madison’s music but i can say this is one of the best DEBUT albums that i’ve heard.
i think there is something soooo special about the way she sings the chorus to "everything happens for a reason," like you can truly feel what she's feeling through her vocals. The opening to selfish is so chefs kiss, like it gives me so much dopamine. Like you said, this is a really solid debut and I feel like most of the songs that weren't an instant hit will definitely be growers. I really can't wait to see how she grows in the coming years.

People are always seeking reasons to hate on somebody else and diminish their success.
People hate girls like Madison because she’s pretty and acknowledges it. Regardless if girls like her and Kylie had work done to look the way they do, when you really look at it they aren’t problematic. There are plenty of shitty celebs that people look the other way.
i agree. i think people are so consumed with the idea of "pretty privilege." it's sad how much hate she gets but people honestly just envy her. madison is one of the celebrities who actually work hard which took her so long to release an album. a lot of people just try to find things and shit on her for it when most times, it's not even her problem or something she can't control.
Honestly people hate on her more for being a "pretty face" because it stems from their own insecurities. She already had a pretty face which she didn't ask for, and she had some lip fillers which people take as their chance to tear her apart for it even when it's none of their business
It seems she had a noticeable downfall when she released that music video that was similar to ari. She said she is her own unique artist but she is clearly still trying to find her sound. All New artists do.

@@rraem1043 it’s more than the ponytail, she had her aesthetic and she also had similar vocal stylings to ari, Madison herself tried to quickly say she was her own artist with her own identity when we all know as a new artist you don’t, you find it by sometimes wearing your influences. And honest himself said that.
Baby DOES not sound Ariana it’s a nod to Brittney spears like early 2000s pop. Ariana did not invent “yuh” it’s AAVE and her last few albums have greatly reflected her borrowing from black music.

Her voice has improved phenomenally from when she first started and her lyricism is rlly good for someone so young. She’s only going to continue to improve she’s has so much potential now hopefully she can stay out of drama and focus on her music
Madison is just one of those natural beauty with talent to match.. I'm happy to call her a fellow pisces.. she has heart and soul and I'm actually astonished it took this long for her first album

Life support has some bops and I think is a good debut album but the thing about the album is she didn’t release when she was really popular back in 2019 of summer since she got a lot of hype from different people. & the album also had a lot of like robot voices which isn’t so good to listen to otherwise I hope her career goes well.
i don’t mean to be rude or anything, but i think the “robot voices” were the point of it. if fits the theme of the album and goes with lyrics, which from a production stand point is really good
@@ladidaa579 yes I know but still like in the middle of the songs those robot voices happened and kind of ruined the song for me and it felt like almost every song had a robot voice and I didn’t like it otherwise this was definitely a good album
