Mexico is truly an amazing place to live.
So you really think that people don't need to know that it's actually the murder capital of the entire world right now? Besides trying to be all cool and vibrant, there should also exist something called conscience and a basic sense of responsibilty.
How can we know what areas to avoid?
I'm looking for a good welder in Tijuana........if you were me how would u go about that??
How's the women scene? 👍🙂
Tijuana is Amazing and beautiful if you know where to go.
Just remember these rules before you go so you don't get in trouble.
1) don't drink on the streets
2) marijuana is NOT legal
3) don't be a jerk, mexicans are friendly but proud
I'm from Los Angels and here are some areas where there's a lot of violence and you shouldn't go (Compton, South central, skid row, etc) same in Tijuana. Stay away from El Florido, La Morita and places the locals can tell you.
Is just another city with pros and cons don't worry.
But the food... that's something you HAVE to experience in your life.
Beautiful comment
Also stay away from al Presi and El Dorado I was robbed there lol
Damn, I live in El florido :(
I live in El Florido 🥺
@@TheTravelingClatt thank you
If you don't know a lick of spanish, don't let that discourage you from visiting! Most locals speak some degree of english! Also, don't be afraid of the violence, it's not as bad as people make it out to be as long as you stay in the decent parts of town, the vast majority of crimes involve gang violence, not regular civilians. Also, yes, food, drinks, party, the beaches are Tj's biggest attractions, if you're looking for more "natural" attractions you should head down south of Mexico. :)
no it's pretty bad reguardless, even then when it's gang violence more than 40 percent of the time a civillian is always injured
true im a Mexican i dont understand why the americans love tijuana yes there are violence corrupt goverment gangs cartels the trash of mexico go to travel to better places the united states has better tourist places than MEXICO the only good place for visit in MEXICO its yucatan because alot of population its american and there is alot of hotel from united states but tijuana sucks
Viva Mexico!
Man Mexico is one of the best places to be. My wife's from Mexico and honestly I love that place.
@@italianod3391 i think you met your wife in a rich zone from tijuana or in a decent zone of the city because the downtown and the south of the city are another world very poor with corrupt a goverment and dirty streets with trash bags and a lot of trouble makers many teenagers they become in criminals yesterday i listen shots and i look a helicopter looking for a murder here in tijuana there is a cartel jalisco new generation they are dangereous and all members are 18 years old thats horrible and they kill inocent people at the neighborhoods tijuana its not safe since 2017 the only places you can stay safe are the rich zones
examples: 1 puerta de hierro
2 la chapu
3 las brisas
never go to the south its a jungle man
As someone thats from tijuana we appreciate this video so much , saludos desde el 664 compas
Gracias mi amigo
nothing special about it. like a ghetto and poor version of san diego with no uber/lyft, fewer stores of every kind, and a lot of violence. cross walks are unsafe. tons of cops with their sirens blaring all day and night trying to deal with everything from violence to weed to some white guy trying to get a blow job. all the while the citizens live in poverty and the government makes no infrastructure to encourage tourism. depressing place in my opinion.
@@perennialistperspective I live in tijuana, and you sir, are 100% correct. Sorry my brothers but i love San Diego and would rather live there.
@@perennialistperspective i live here in tijuana as well and im not happy here.. its a good place to visit but since we moved here like less than a year ago, i just dont feel like its the best place to live. You still live Tijuana?
Also Tijuana is great at coffee. I would recommend places like electric coffee roasters, CRU coffee and Blue Luna coffee
Next time you're down there, visit Cafe Sur a Norte in el centro, and also Luwak in Playas de Tiuana.
Container Coffee is super delicious.
Best coffee I ever had. I was positively vibrating from all the caffeine.

I agree, just be careful of what you drink. The food is good, though.

I'm from TJ, born and raised...aaaaaand I truly loved this video. Thank you for you kindness, honesty and informative video🤘🌻
Deadliest city in the world
I’ll be visiting TJ soon
I can't wait to visit your city, flying into San Diego for Christmas
Is visiting Rosarito worth it?
Why it's listed as the most dangerous city in the world
I’m tijuanense and Tijuana is not the prettiest city but is the best one to eat, drink and party!! 24/7 you just need to stay away from trouble. I loooove tacos!!! Tijuana the capital of cerveza artesanal and a very multicultural place with a huge gastronomic options! People make Tijuana unique because you have a little piece of every state of México.
you really shouldn't party in TJ, especially if your under 18, not cuz of laws or bullshit but ai te roban y te violan bien rapido but people are to drunk or high to notice the girl outside with no pants crying her eyes out with 5 other patrullas
T0NICSS I have no idea of what sites do you party but this happens everywhere, every time you go out it’s your responsibility to take care of yourself. I am from Tijuana and I loved and party there for 12yrs and never saw or happened something like this to me.
Bere Cerati I never said it wasn’t your responsibility, but do you expect a faded 15 year old girl to know how to take care of herself, if you been partying since you was 12 you fs was raised in the US cuz no Tijuana born girls mom let’s their daughters party
T0NICSS since 12yrs I was 18 not that I was 12yrs.. hey that’s your opinion, it’s ok if you have seen that part I am sooo sorry but don’t make it a fact tho.
Thank you for a real video of Tijuana ❤️ Viva México! 🇲🇽
I like to point out that Tijuana does have natural landscapes that you can visit plus, besides the bars and night life, they also have some great museums and cultural events that are worth seeing/visiting.
The easiest way to get around is uber. It's more pricey at night but on average an uber trip is about 50 pesos. I had an airbnb about 15 blocks from ave revolucion and it would cost about 50 pesos to get to playas de tijuana at 1030 am and about 55 to get back at 4pm. Cheap cheap.
Also my first rule was never pass up a bano. Tijuana is bereft of public washrooms. Also watch where you are walking. you can't just walk around with your head in the clouds. The sidewalks are a mess there. It would be pretty easy to break a damn leg on the massive crevasses in the sidewalks. Don't worry about cartel, worry about the sidewalks, and the crazy drivers.
Soy de Tijuana y no es la ciudad mas bonita del mundo pero tiene mucha alma.
I’m from Tijuana and it’s not the prettiest city in the world but it has a lot of soul.
Me consta tmb soy de Tj
Chevere! Y está chido, Rosarito? Hay buenas hembras?
Great video. I've been to Tijuana probably 15+ times just in the past 3 years and it's safe. Police may and will hassle you, my best advice is be nice, friendly and dumb. Most importantly, and I just learned this from my friend, don't speak any Spanish! I know Spanish but I pretend I don't because the cops won't ask you for a bribe if they can't clearly communicate that to you. Unless you actually did something bad, and you both know it, in which case haggle and know they'll usually take $10-20 regardless of what they're asking for (which is usually in the hundreds). But outside of cops bugging me I've never once felt unsafe. Airbnb is definitely the way to go and avoid driving drunk (it used to be fine but lately they are cracking down with DUI checkpoints). Take an Uber and get wasted. Bring condoms because it's easy to hook up, whether a local or a tourist. And don't give money to beggars ever, in Mexico they have pride and even they look down on beggars. Get Sentri and cross back into the US in minutes.
what is Sentri ? I am going to San Diego at christmas and was told all i needed to go and come back from Tijuana was my birth certificate and drivers license . Eh ? please let me know i will be there in about 5 weeks , thnx
Awesome video!! I’m thinking of visiting for my birthday ❤️ I love the way you had “sub-subjects”,a lot of “RUclipsrs” kind of ramble in their videos, but u get straight to the point. Can’t wait to go to Tijuana!
Thank you for visiting Tijuana and your opinion glad you liked it.
Next time you should try our craft beer on Plaza del Zapato or Plaza Fiesta (it's the same). Maybe try Cecut which is like a museum sort of is just cultural things of México, some theater and things like that.
Thanks for the honest video about safety too.

Tijuanera here!! We get the best of both worlds. We're seriously a culture apart. it's a beautiful city.. I totally love it. You can find everything here. Good and bad.
I'm sorry you got to experience the bad part of our city. But yes. Sadly the north side of the city is filled with prostitution. Not proud of it but it's a reality. Many people here come from the south of our country looking for a better way of life and end up in the north part turning tricks and selling drugs. But I'm sure this is not exclusively of our city. We still have great tourist family appropriate places. Hope you visit more for the culture next time 😏
I recently just came back from a missions trip to Juarez Mexico and you aren’t kidding the food is fantastic I had cow lip tacos and goat tacos for breakfast and it was fantastic

I had been through Tijuana just over a week ago and I wish I had seen and experienced all of these wonderful things in your video. Instead what I saw was tons of barbed wire, bars on every window, shanty homes, demolished buildings and lots of garbage. It honestly looked like a war zone. And there was the worst smell that made me feel like I was choking. I couldn't stay in that city. Fortunately we were driving through and over to get to San Felipe which was an amazing place. But I'd like to give Tijuana another chance and check out all of the nice areas. Maybe that horrid smell is only in certain spots.
Yeah, probably. In tijuana it really depends where you are, in the street where my grandma lives, you here gunshots every day, murders are common(It's mostly gang murders not civilians), my dad almost got mugged there but didn't, because he knew the person who was mugging him, there was once a guy on her roof with a gun(we all survived), but I live in a place with really nice looking houses and a lot of plants, my neighbors are nice, Haven't heard a single gunshot since I moved in here(big improvement from living in my grandmas house), no break-ins, and it's literally like five minutes away from my grandmas house, so yeah if you wanna come here, just make sure you're going in the right places and you can find it's actually a really nice city.
i miss tijuana 😞🥲,,, i was there 2 weeks ago

Ah man I tried the tacos in Tijuana and seeing those images of them is making my mouth water
Great video man! Quality!
Although I loved your video there is SO MUCH more to Tijuana than partying and Revolution Street. There are typically many events on the beaches, $3 movie theatres, soccer games are huge here, and events every weekend downtown in Zona Rio. If you do go to Rosarito they also have various events in the city and beaches, the markets are big for shopping and of course, there are multiple places to eat along the way. And thinking a bit outside of the box- there are many needs because of the level of poverty. If you visit, it would be a great experience to volunteer some time. Thanks for making the video!

Hi I live in India from haryana WOWWWWW tijuana
I think a lot of things change, did change and continue to change as 3 years is a long time for prices to change, costs went up, continued to go up and in most cases currencies have also taken a hit which means fewer pesos, exchange rates and hotel rates are higher as Air B&B have also had some increases so check the dates of youtube videos and keep in mind time has moved on and changes have made increases to everything with very few exceptions.
Hey man, Thank you for making this.... I was really worried about visiting Tijuana due to the media saying so much about cartel violence. I'm definitely going to go visit now!
I suggest you follow a page like Demoler on Instagram. They stay up to date with corruption and cartel violence in all regions of Mexico. Yes they are a media outlet but they're not sensationalizing anything, it's based on factual evidence. Tijuana was ranked the most dangerous city in the world in 2019, (none of this is to scare you by the way), I just think it's important to remember to stay vigilant of your surroundings and trust your gut should something feel weird to you in any way. You'll definitely have a great time when you go, cheers!
Sometimes the MSM just scaring people to stay in the 🇺🇸 follow the money.Biast tourism?😮🤑🤗
Great video Bro Thanks for all the info stay in Mexico as long as you want enjoy yourself
Thank you friend
Decently accurate overview for sure, great job there, and this is coming from a lifelong San Diegan whose made the same trip dozens of times. However, I think you overestimated the price a bit. 50-100$ is ALOT to spend. Tacos everywhere are about 65 cents. Getting 2 of nearly every candy at a local store will cost you about 8$. Getting back to the border in an Uber from ANYWHERE in TJ is about 2$-2.50$. A nice place to stay in about 10$-15$, and thats LUXURiOUS!
I. Like to over estimate cause I'm not sure how much someone will usually spend. Its just to be safe! But thank you!! 🙂
SoCal | Find me on Twitter. I love you guys〈3 Which hotel charges $10-15?
Would an Uber driver be able to take you across the border? Or would you have to get out at the border crossing, cross on foot or whatnot, and then hail another one via the app?
