I have 6 3512R D1 on 4900 watts a sub. Actually clamped that much at show. That’s is 4900 watts per sub no clipping. They seemed to handle it no problem. Never smelled a coil, never heard a funny noise, then one of them just dropped a coil for seemingly no reason at less than half volume. One coil measures .9. The other measures a dead short. Back fed into my DB aak 20,000.1 running it and the amp popped 1 mosfet before it went into protect. So now it must be repaired also. I am no amateur. I’ve been doing car audio competitions since 1998. Been to world finals 11 times. DB called it “user error” and warrantied nothing. Product was less than 3 months old. My system is 100% DB. I spent $15,000 on DB product this year and I demoed there product at several big shows this year. Won a top 25 best in show at slamfest. Won all 3 spl classes I entered at slamfest and they don’t care. Costing me over $1000 to repair product that was not being abused. I can’t wait to go back to sundown. DB customer service is beyond terrible. I’m glad you’re happy with them, and I was happy with mine until this happened. Hope you don’t blow one or get a defect. It will be 100% out of your pocket. DB has no warranty. The funny thing is is I’ve actually been asked at shows to be on team DB and if I decide I want to I will be on their team I will be beginning of next month. They let new people on every December. Then I get everything for half price and free shipping, no tax, shipped to my front door, and I still don’t think I’m going to go with them on my next build. Their terrible customer service when I had a small issue that wasn’t even my fault really turned me off to their company. They actually went so far as to call me stupid in an email. I’ve had cars featured in magazines because of the stereo. And these people call me stupid. Very disappointing. They zero customer service in the states. It’s all in Germany. Which doesn’t help me at all. There’s not even a human being you can speak to. All you can do is email. And whatever dealer you bought it from will not do anything. They are just simply a seller of the product all warranty issues are handled through emailing DB. And trust me they will not warranty anything.
I just ordered a pair of those same Deathbounce 3012s will be marring them to a pair of audiopipe apcle-30001d & with the proper voltage I'll be able to execute 4k+ wattage... ✌✌🤘💯
got a single DB sa-302 on a MD3k in a prefab box and i absolutely love it. Stock alt and battery and it slams. Eventually gonna grab 3 more and put in a 4th order box. Can’t wait to see the results!

Those r the subs I run for about 6 months now on a sundown amp 8000 was running the apocalypse series 4900 but I couldn't get the sobs into clipping with it so what fun is that lol

That sounds like a sweet setup. I hope to get some more batts soon an then start shopping for what amps I want to use. Will probably try to put a 4 or 5k to each
One of buddies has 4 with a dB 7900.1 on each coil. He’s clamping 49,000 watts. So a little over 12,000 a sub. Your not even sniffing what they will handle. After rise even wired at half ohm with a very good electrical system you might be getting 4000 a sub. Possibly as low as 2500 depending on your electrical and how much rise you have.
I second this it laughed at the AW-9000.1 and OMG freaken loud shook the very ground we were standing on I love deaf bonce I personally have Set of 18s but haven't heard them yet still trying to get this cobalt prepped and done before I can load them in
I can't believe how hard they're hitting on so little power. I'm excited to see Parker's comparison between the 3012 and sundown x 12. My money is on DB and I bet yours is too

@@lukasHenchman the box size isn't the problem. The subs need more port area and alot more power. The subs are 2800w rms an can take alot more then that. They might be seeing 2500 to 3k for all 4 right now and that's what each sub need minimum. The box is already being rebuilt to have the right port area
These things gotta hit the numbers on them are really impressive. I know their good amps are made in Korea are similar to others for cheaper or same price as sound qubed, Ab, few others! Subs are huge and have huge motors with a lot of BL so they have to hit hard if nothing else! I would like to hear some see what they do hit like!
So far for being extremely under powered they ain't bad. They have a good sound and hit ok for there power and for being in the wrong box. I did have a taramps md8k on them for a short time and they hit alot harder but was still way under powered and I still needed a different box. Hopefully sooner rather than later I can get the right power to them
I’ve got 4 of them myself on the db AAK-8k I’ve got 48ah lithium and a big daka but only a 270amp ault so I can’t hold Voltage these subs drink power I love them when I can keep a steady 14.2 I’m excited to see how they act when we clamped the amp it was only maken a little over 5k and it has so much more to give but these subs can take so much power it’s crazy
Yeah I'll find some new seats at some point. It's my work truck right now so haven't really worried about how it looks as long as it runs good an the system works lol

Some of us have a 5k truck with a 20k system. But i also have a 100k range rover thats factory, a 85k 2500hd truck thats stock. If you weren't living paycheck to paycheck you might understand some people can spend what you make a year in 10 minutes on D4S and not blink an eye.

I own both models from both brands. Sundown is better for me personally. I have a 3015r on an AAK 6 k right now. It's not bad at all
