This whole Raygun situation has really reminded me that people are ready to talk confidently about any topic, no matter how much they know or even care. Regarding Crash Fest - I don't enjoy it, but it obviously is an experimental event that focuses on doing the crazyest move possible, even if you actually crash. So it's like watching a footwork battle and complaining that they don't do any top rock or power 🤣 It's not for me, but the people involved enjoy it and they don't preted it's proper breaking...
As a dj myself, i have to say i prefere them playing some hyped electronic stuff then play the same breaking tracks everyone heard like 10000 times before. For me as an outsider it looks like all the djs play the greatest hits vol 1 2 3 every event. Pretty boring. But then again. IF they play that pitched up 90s hiphop shit (and there is a lot of that around to play many different tracks ) man the battles are better and more agressive it seems too so.... at least thats what im noticing when watching breaking. And yeah i agree, kids too soft, parents too soft/woke. But im as old too soo guess thats why i agree haha.
We gotta talk about what a DJ is first before you can even make a statement like calling our holy grails of breaks pretty boring lmaoooooooo yes it’s your opinion and you got every right to voice it but… we gotta learn to think a lil more before we voice our opinions lol imagine the most prestigious ballet dancers who have literally devoted their lives to this since before they were even like 10 and it’s literally what their life revolves around. Now fast forwards 10-15 years later you’ve finally made it… you’re performing on the stages you’ve dreamed of to the classical music that plays in your head 24/7 for years…. Just for a nobody to slap that dream right outta reality and yell “pretty BORRRRINNGG I think y’all should dance to some Young thug or lil baby y’all are sooooo boring” bro what
@@Hiphobbit I know man, and these dj's are pretty good for sure. But still i can find the record selection in some occasions boring because i prefere a more underground selection? Not meaning they should play another genre or some shitty ass music. I just dont find some tracks fire after 1000 listens the same as the first 100. Not saying anything about any dedication or skill whatever. Just chimed in on the electronic tracks part at crashfest in the video. And if you read my comment i was not saying the dj's are boring, just some of the tracks they play sooo chilll.
