    This might be favourite podcast yet. Jimmy approaches everything in a lot of detail and everything he does has a heap of thought, experience and work behind it. I’m going to be listening to this one over and over again because there’s so much info here

    Wealth of knowledge and experience, what people should really understand is he has an iron mind set. Jim. Has always been good to me and he knows what works for him and does it. I will be the first to say I don’t agree with band shirts right now , because I have poly numbers to hit them I will move over to band shirts . But if you absolutely hate the band shirt , Jim will be the strongest in any shirt when it comes down to it the best will always be the best no matter what equipment he uses. Great interview! Thanks, Jimmy and Dave, and all other people who helped to do this table talk!
    Jimmy, discomforts that you face are most likely due to lack of muscle coordination and "supression" of nervous system. Isolated mobility work will not help here! I believe, you need to do some new moves that involve whole body. For example, rolls over shoulders and over head, walking on all fours like in wrestling warm-up. There also can be benefit from Feldenkrais style moves for wrists and forearms. Yoga (dog facing downwards) done for reps, like in hindu push-ups, and static can also be useful. May be this stuff will even help you to master full reverse grip benching.
    Good luck in lifting 1400, you can do it!

    Crazy today we have "Bench press" only guys benching more than most people can squat and deadlift. That is total proof the bench shirts of today are having HUGE carryover. Give me a George Halbert. Kenny P or Jm Blakley any day. That were masters of the bench and were in different weight classes. Not just some fat guy with a 400lb carry open back bench shirt lol

    • @henrykjohn78
      @henrykjohn78 9 месяцев назад

    • @Lickmabumbum
      @Lickmabumbum 9 месяцев назад

      @@henrykjohn78His training frequency is Wednesday and Saturday, his GPP is extremely high, his neurological state is primed on a consistent basis, his physique gives absolutely no indication of steroid use... The amount of participation in powerlifting is far too little to determine natural or enhanced limits.
