Hey I have a few questions, I just went through the virtual training and i’m a little confused.. I noticed how you showed us there weren’t enough water bottles to reach the customers desired amount. My question is what exactly did you do in this situation? Did you get replacements or just give the 5 bottles? I don’t know if I misunderstood something about the whole replacement thing but if you could give me an explanation that’d be awesome. Sorry to bother you and great video btw! Helped a lot.

I know you're technically employed by Whole Foods, but are they essentially the same thing besides the fact that I'd be doing the shopping at an Amazon facility instead of Whole Foods? Yes, I was technically hired by Whole Foods. I was cross trained, which means when I wasn’t a cashier I was shopping with the other Prime Now workers. When you are a Amazon shopper, you will be shopping in what ever Whole Foods Locatiom you pick up a shift for. Sometimes my Prime now Associates would be at different stores each week. It just depends.

This might vary by location, but in my store, when there isn’t enough of a product in stock, and the customer ordered a greater quantity of what’s in stock (i.e. customer wants six Just Waters and there’s five), we have to replace the entire thing.
They recently implemented partial orders at our location. So you can give them whatever is on hand, but the rest cannot be offered as a replacement. (MAD location)
@Dustin V I quit working with Amazon, but I’ll tell you this: Yes, shoppers do receive messages you send to them. However, many locations have this rule that they aren’t required to respond to the customer, all that matters is that they offer a replacement. There’s this three minute timer that appears once a replacement is offered. If the customer doesn’t respond, the shopper has the option to click “No response” and the replacement is included in the order regardless, I guess because on Prime Now it says “If something is out of stock, we’ll contact you with a replacement. If we don’t hear back, we’ll include the replacement” before a customer places their order. I personally believe that’s wrong as Amazon likes to stress customer satisfaction, as one time someone had an order for someone a pregnant woman who was messaging the shopper frequently asking for better substitutions, and the shopper didn’t respond.
when a customer is in parking lot or needed to be met in the front of the store with their order how do you go upon doing that if you’re working on another order or what not? Do you have to go back and find there order?😫 Like would the order specifically tell you delivery or pickup in the beginning before you start shopping? New to the job and haven’t been in that position yet
If theres a pickup it will interrupt the order you are currently working on and have you scan the bags you have already used and put it on a specific shelf at your store. Somebody else will get to your order while you do the pickup order. Even if the order you were picking was a pickup order you will probably not be the one to bring it out to the customer.
Cherise Trout ok so if it interrupts me and tells me to do the pick up order that’s already been out away.. will it tell me where I had put that order on the shelves?
Hi great video. I work at an Amazon fresh location and we have to hit a rate of 70% daily. We have to pick two items per minute. Is that the rule also for your job at Amazon/Whole Foods?
Lol my location is not as relaxed as this its always busy large orders if its not busy we have to assist all areas of the store until orders come in the slamming area is not large and well organized like this we have to bag in one room and then walk across the store to stage the bags for pick up and they hound you about the metrics numbers almost everyone at my location leaves the shopper position for something else
I start as a prime shopper tomorrow and I was wondering where you go on your first day? My online orientation didn't work so I have no background knowledge on what to do when I get there and I don't want to be wandering around lol

I just got hired for the amazon prime shopper job in Whole Foods. It’s my first time doing something like this I didn’t retail merchandising before but I’m sure that’s something different . My question is when they time you while your shopping the customers order do you rush? And how long do they time you for and what if . You don’t get everything before the timer is up and do you work independently. And is this the job where you barely see the managers and do they give you an amazon prime shirt and how do you clock in and where do you clock in

Dayana Ruiz I don’t think it would be too much of an issue. If you have to order something from the deli or meat department you can just show them your phone so they know what to grab and how much. If an item is out of stock you do have to ask a Whole Foods employee for their QR code or ask them for help finding it. Just show them the item that’s on your phone and they’ll help. If you have to bring the groceries out to someone’s car for a pick up, have someone come with you if you feel a bit uncomfortable doing it alone at first (We don’t get many of these. At least at my store). It’s a pretty chill job and aside from the few times you have to talk to the Whole Foods employee’s you’re not really talking to anyone.
If you're lucky you can exceed the 29 hour mark they max you out at, but you have to get OT working double shifts (After 8 hours is OT) I was able to get 29 hours/ 5 Hours OT in cali, I got around $450 after tax
Do they have you meet a certain quota for the hour and make you work at a very fast speed? I had that problem working for the Amazon warehouse (I wasn’t fast enough).

@@maliknexus me personally I would not recommend working here💯 due to the fact you don't get guaranteed hrs and if people at the location have gold membership they will get to pick they hrs b4 regular membership people so basically it will be hard for you to even get hrs

Hi, I wanted to ask you about how the schedule works. Are you able to pick your hours every week or they make your schedule based on the hours and days you put in your application? and also, how many hours can you work a week?
Honestly I don't think you picking the days you could work really mattered because you can just pick any day you want to work. They're switching to schedule picking on the atoz app.
I was deciding jobs because I need a good job that get paid good and I heard that Amazon paid good but I was deciding but I would love to know how much they pay for hour and that job looks easy shopping looks very easy for me to do..
Yes you can, but first you must get gold member status. Do 90 hours and work 6 weekend days in a month. After that you get to pick your schedule 2 weeks in advance. 😎
@@NewPSCity Once you earn gold status do you keep it? Or do you have to continue to work 90hrs and three weekend shifts per month each month to have it going forward?
Today is my first day at Whole foods. I'm confused with replacements, on the training day I was following another worker to see how she did it, but for some reason, she scanned another wholefoods worker QR code when there wasn't an item, does anyone know why she did that? For anyone who knows about whole foods
Luis Chavez Im new too lol I think it’s so that you are able to tell the client that the item is truly out of stock and that you’re not just making the excuse up and then after scanning you can offer a replacement similar to the item that the client wanted but without scanning the members QR code you can’t claim that the item is out of stock because you need a Whole Foods team member to confirm that. If you want to be able to offer a replacement you need to scan the code unless the customer doesn’t want a replacement
I work at an Amazon prime now “fresh” facility the process is the same as this but our items are arranged in “cubby bins and the handhelds we have tell us what cubby to go to and we scan the QR code for the cubby location and then the computer tells us what to pull from the cubby and how many for Instants the computer tells me to go to cubby location A146-g132 the A146 is ambient isle 146 and g132 is the row and cubby number our rows are a-g and in some places h our picks are broken up into zones and your pick assignments are all in that one zone not a combination of zones ambient Biggs frozen produce chilled are the zones in my facility
Come to sf wholefoods to shop for amazon 🤣 on sundays or most days actually the soma location is like the hunger games. 290 orders in 1 afternoon is the norm 😂 with only 15 or so shoppers. Store is considered huge for a wholefoods and the manager came from the warehouse so they hella loud and prioritize on not fraternizing with your co workers. UPH under 50 is considered low for our store 😅 if you’re in warehouse that’s a different story. Also in our stores we have to pick and put in the wholefoods bag as we shop. If not we get into trouble.
At my site just spray and wipe down tables with the sanitizer solution, take out trash, restock shopper bags, clean phones after shoppers clock out. Also, only sign in on the shopper app when you take the cleaner survey thing before you clock out. That’s all.
It’s just like shopping for you own grocery’s. Except you have to do a little scanning.

laury Rodriguez really they filled up already? I start this week.
What’s the app name that you guys used for the shopping thing ?
Today is my first day of work wish me luck y'all!!
Good luck
How did it go!
How was it ?
@@melliee1 I've been here 3 weeks now and it's amazing. It's very easy it just stays busy so you keep really busy but it's not overwhelming. Like I overthought it so much and it was not bad!
@@sophieandcoco08 Thank you omg I actually went to the hiring event yesterday and it was fine I’m just waiting for the email to see if I get in so I can start :)
Do you have to use your own phone to scan the stuff ?
Hell no lol
just got hired over the phone the other day, while you do the shopping do they make you wear a mask? and are you able to listen to music or have AirPods in while u shop or was ur manager just cool haha.
Is there a interview?
Yes you have to wear a mask and gloves. Also im not sure about listening to music, no one where i work does.
@@dayanaruiz3616 no
@@GimpGirl1 I'm thinking about getting a job here but I'm deaf. I don't know if this will be a problem. Is there alot of comunication involved?
I’m interviewing next week for a position. Great video! I really wasn’t sure what to expect but it doesnt look too bad.
Good luck girl!!!!
How long did it take for them to get back to you
Thankfully, I didn’t have to do an interview whatsoever
Had my training today ..your video I understand now! Thank you
How do you like it?
im planning on moving jobs to this cause my manager is ass, first day on august 12th
Good luck!!!!🍀
Hey nice! I should be starting right around then as well! Good luck and congrats
they let u guys wear airpods without getting in trouble?
lol yes and no
Lol yes and no
was you part time or full time ? & how did you pick up shifts
just curious, how many hours were you working a week and how much was pay at end of week? thank you
If you're lucky you can exceed the 29 hour mark they max you out at, but you have to get OT working double shifts (After 8 hours is OT) I was able to get 29 hours/ 5 Hours OT in cali, I got around $450 after tax
Great training video. I feel better about this job can't wait to start ❤
Do they have you meet a certain quota for the hour and make you work at a very fast speed? I had that problem working for the Amazon warehouse (I wasn’t fast enough).
Im not sure if that policy has changed. this video was over a year ago
Woww i literally applied for this position yesterday and thanks to your video I know Exactly what to expect i even know which days to request off sat and Sunday 🤣🤣🤣(the busy days))
No problemo lol
I was told for part time u have to do 3 shifts per month or else u get fired. But how many hours do u have to work per week? Cause i remember reading a policy saying 15 - 20 hrs a week.
I did this a year ago and was employed by Whole Foods Market, not Amazon.
@@RinnnMichelle that alright. I found out what i needed
Kind of a dumb question but for each product does it say what aisle it’s in on the phone or do we have to look for it on our own ?
Sometimes it does, but most times it doesnt
Thinking about applying for this job it does look easy. Plus I guess you can where your own clothes 😉
You can practically wear whatever you want, of course under some guidance
I guess all the Amazon shopper pickers are taken where I live
@@maliknexus me personally I would not recommend working here💯 due to the fact you don't get guaranteed hrs and if people at the location have gold membership they will get to pick they hrs b4 regular membership people so basically it will be hard for you to even get hrs
Yes
Yes
Quick question. How would I apply? Would I have to go to the wholefoods market and ask someone for the application?
I have an appointment to inquire about the job this Friday. Is this a Whole Foods warehouse where there are no customers? I worked for Safeway for 3 years and are not trying to go back to another grocery store setting dealing with customers in person🤦🏽♀️
Aaliyah Gothrocks no, this is a actual Whole Foods store, the packing area is in the back of the store
RinnnMichelle Damn that was a fast reply😂Thanks so much!
Aaliyah Gothrocks you’re welcome
i do this at walmart for online grocery pickup but this seems better and more organized!
I guess it varies. I’ve done a lot of different delivery food jobs and they all can get very unorganized
Hi, I’m trying to find shifts but I have no idea what the shift posting schedule/cadence is, so you by any chance know more info? Like the drop time? Thank you!!
6:15 I believe
I am so happy i found this! I start tomorrow and was sooo nervous 😅😂
I hope everything is going great for you!
Question: did you do drop offs at your location? (At mine we only do curbside pickup) and if so were you allowed to accept cash tips?
No, when I was doing this, that wasn’t a thing.
Do they have like a private locker where you put your stuff away incase you have to change
No. They don’t. But I don’t know. Some locations don’t. Mine didn’t.
So you don't have to ring it up at the register? It rings up as you scan it?
Will they help u go over the run threw of it like a tutorial of it ?
Thanks for the vid. I’m starting soon so it’s good to know what I’m doing.🙌🏼
Aye did you get a payroll card?
Kyhree Armstead no. I use direct deposit.
@@troyk99 Oh is your store big?
Kyhree Armstead idk yet. I start next Tuesday.
@@troyk99 well I just "started" yesterday, we only got a 20 min training then our trainer left and we had to start shopping on our own.
It’s pretty much like Instacart expect for you’re not driving and in 1 one store.
Lol yeah pretty much
Instacart has in store shoppers too lol
@@justhurry1041 Only in Kroger’s stores.
Omg you video helped me . I applied today and also was offered the job . I lost my job as a teacher due to COVID-19 😕 I need that moneyyyy 💯
Hey Lucy, the base pay is 15 an hour
So we use our own phones or every location is different?
When working on a order, you use the work phones given to you.
Idea... why not put bags in cart and drop items in A/C/F, while shopping?
That area looks familiar. Were you at the NYC Whole Foods Market on Bowery?
No, Georgia
Is there an easier way to pick up shifts rather than wait and hopefully pick the hrs you want?
Yes you can, but first you must get gold member status. Do 90 hours and work 6 weekend days in a month. After that you get to pick your schedule 2 weeks in advance. 😎
@@NewPSCity Once you earn gold status do you keep it? Or do you have to continue to work 90hrs and three weekend shifts per month each month to have it going forward?
@@marywigley982 You need to do 90 hours and 6 weekends the following month in order to stay Gold for the next month 😅 So a never ending cycle.
Yes thank u, I was so confused at first but the video helped
Amazon doesn't trust the workers so now they have to ask a Whole Foods Team Member to verify the item is really out of stock.
@@anonymoushuman8443 really smh
Easier way take the picture of qr code so you don’t bother them and keep asking for the
Qr code.
I only pretend I don't have it when a cute girl working i m temporarily don't work for whole food but i still works for amazon
Great video! About to start here soon. I'd love to see a video about why ypu decided to leave Amazon.
I worked for Whole Foods and cross trained as a Amazon shopper. I left for personal reasons.
What do you think about the Job is it easy ? Any tips I start in a week
@@judithh5371 no it’s prity easy just have to be fast because they have time windows to maintain
This is so much better than warehouse
I’m confused is this in Whole Foods
Come to sf wholefoods to shop for amazon 🤣 on sundays or most days actually the soma location is like the hunger games. 290 orders in 1 afternoon is the norm 😂 with only 15 or so shoppers. Store is considered huge for a wholefoods and the manager came from the warehouse so they hella loud and prioritize on not fraternizing with your co workers. UPH under 50 is considered low for our store 😅 if you’re in warehouse that’s a different story. Also in our stores we have to pick and put in the wholefoods bag as we shop. If not we get into trouble.
Love love LOVE!!!this job ...and I haven't said that in yrs!!!!
@I’m Not a Troll Page Amazon owns whole foods ..I'm at the supermarket
@I’m Not a Troll Page ohio

You aren't required to wear a mask while completing your shopping orders?
this video was made a year ago, prior to covid (so she wouldnt need mask) but as of right now, my store does require masks because of covid
You said it better than me
I’m starting next week, this video helped a lot! I’m excited 😬 thank you!
You will do great!!!
So u have to buy stuff with your own money? You get paid to buy there stuff or what I’m confused
No, this isn’t buying anything. They just get groceries bagged to go on a delivery.
I need to switch to shopper. I work at the warehouse and it sucks.
Great video, I appreciate the effort it took to show everything!
Thank you!
I have a question...with the cv19 is working for amazon Whole Foods safe in your opinion even if you have a mask"
Whole Foods is a high volume store. Much like Kroger, Walmart.
If u dont get any orders do u still get payed
Yes
Anyone know what the Cleaner Shift duties are? I have one in 2 days and got no training on it lol. Been doing this job in Chicago since December
At my site just spray and wipe down tables with the sanitizer solution, take out trash, restock shopper bags, clean phones after shoppers clock out. Also, only sign in on the shopper app when you take the cleaner survey thing before you clock out. That’s all.
@@larryistall thanks for the help

In the item description it should tell you.
I need help figuring out what staging section to put it in or just any shelf available in ambient, chilled or frozen?
This will be my first job application. hows the job interview? What all question they asked?
