Thats so crazy Gina,i start beading 10 years ago. But i never make my own Projekts, thats nothing for me,i always use tutorials. Then i stop beading 2016. And a copple of mounths ago i start again. But everytime i had problems to thread my needle. I ask my daughter to do this for me,this time she was about 9 years old and she learned in school how to do this for sewing. Her name is also Gina😊❤. And now you show us this cool kind to thread a needle. Thank you so much Gina for showing us how do you work, and thank you so much for the beautyful tutorials you made.
❤❤❤❤Graciella
Gina, I stopped beading a couple years ago because I have lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and I just could not thread my beading needles nor add on thread. I have always preferred Fireline for its ease and drape etc but I happened upon your Russian Spiral video which lead me to this one and oh my Goodness, I can bead again! Thank you from the bottom of my 80 year old heart. Love your clarity and organization in your videos. You are #1 on my UTube short list! Thank you hardly covers it.
Wonderful! I am so happy for you! I hope to continue being helpful. If there is anything in particular I can help with, please let me know🌹
Thank You, everything we need to make beautiful Jewellery to wear proudly and for Gifts xo from South Africa xo
Flattening the end and melting the knotted ends - brilliant! Thank you!
Thanks, not my original idea, but I have used these methods for years, makes everything so much simpler!
@GGCs AND i thank you for sparing us with the struggle of the needles and thread and everything from 1 through 4 so far. I had to come back for a refresher course because i was frustrated after a few years of trying and trying with no success from seed beads and crimps and down the line. ty so very much
You are so welcome! I am happy it was helpful!😁
I can actually understand these instructions. Best ever. Thank you so much.
You are welcome! Glad you found it helpful ❤️
Thank you for instructing me to watch this video- I am new to heading 💕
Thank you I Love the tying and melting the two ends method and it does work on wild fire and hobbyworker beading thread
I Love your channels thank you for bringing us all these projects
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I almost stopped beading completely because of these two issues! You have given me back my love for beading!!! Thanks again for sharing!
You are very welcome, I know these two issues are pains in the bottom😀
It’s magic!! Thank you Gina
You are the BEST. Thanks for great tips.
You are welcome, thank you for watching!
Gina, I have been bead weaving for several months now, and watching many, many RUclips videos but this is the first time I have seen this trick for extending Fireline. What a truly awesome idea! Thanks
Susan Hopkins you are welcome, when I found this trick it changed everything! I love it.

Oh my gosh. I've been beading for a couple of years now and this is so much better than how I've been extending line. I can't believe I haven't been doing this. Thank you so much!
You are very welcome, when I discovered this method, it changed my world!
Thank you so much for helping and sharing your knowledge, it has been of tremendous help to me🌻
You are very welcome, I am happy to help!💙
Hi Gina, I have just started beading, thanks so much for these tutorials. I had run out and grabbed random things for my journey from needles to beads and then became so overwhelmed I couldn’t start. You are really helpful I take lots of notes.
Wonderful! If you have questions I didn’t answer, feel free to ask!
WOW! Genius way to add thread. Once again a great lesson learned from my awesome teacher!😃
Thank you Ida, you are sweet!
Thank you so much for showing how to do this. I’ve been struggling!
You are very welcome 💕
Just tried the burning method using nymo and it worked great and I m happy because I really don’t like tying on thread . Thank you.
On Nymo, wow, I didn’t know that would work. Nice to know.😁
Thank you so much for teaching this method. I'm really happy for your help and support. God bless you 🙏🏾
The knot and balling was brilliant! I've never seen it done that way! TFS the technique x
Faye Hadfield yes, I agree! When I found this method it changed my beady life!
Gina, you have literally saved my sanity, many thanks.
That’s what I am here for, LOL!😁😄
Gina I love your nails!
Thank you!
You absolutely 💯 show the best way 🙌 to add. Or extend thread. Makes it so much easier!!! Thanks 😊 Gina!!!
You are very welcome ❤️
Great, great threading tip. It works like a charm! I just grabbed my chain nose and smashed that end, and it went right through the eye of that needle. Thank you for sharing!
You are very welcome!
Tried my first simple project and I really struggled to thread the needle and ended up using a regular sewing needle so I came back to this video. Thank you so much! Used plyers to flatten the end and it worked like a charm!
You are welcome, it’s little tips like that, that make all the difference❤️
Thank you much Gina! This works much better for me than how I was taught by the woman at my local bead shop. Your way is much easier AND BETTER!
Karen Buchholz I agree, it works better than how I was originally taught also. 😜😁🤪
Thank you so much Gina. That is an AWESOME TIP on how to add thread‼️
I must tell you….I finally ordered some NanoFil low visibility green (blends in with everything. I do want to get the “Clear Mist” NanoFil but Amazon was out of it the other day. Anyways, I LOVE how thin but strong the NanoFil is. Thank you for that TIP as well.
I am so excited…My parcel from you was delivered today Aug.23, 2022 Take GREAT care Gina‼️🙏🏻🤗💚🇨🇦
You made that look so easy ,I will give it a try. Thank you🤗💖
Yes, please do, it is easy.💕
Yes indeed! That’s the truth! Thank you for that!
You are very welcome ❤️
Thank you for sharing your method to save all our work when we don't guestimate on how much thread to use. thanks
Yes, you will almost always need to add thread to projects, unless you use huge amounts of thread to start. But, then it tangles and is hard to manage.💜😁
Hi thank you so much for showing how easy it is to join the fireline thread with a lighter. I saw this fairly recently but they wanted us to buy the rather expensive thread Zap to do the same job. Thank you again and I will look forward to following your excellent tutorials as I have just found your site.
You are welcome, I never use a thread burner, they are nice, but definitely not necessary.glad you found this helpful.
Dear Teacher, love your channel you have helped me immensely. Have a beautiful day!
Hi, thank you for the nice comment, I am happy to be helpful! ❤️💙😀
Not a beginner, but I have a hard time adding thread. This makes it so much easier! Thanks again Gina.
+Donalyn Craig You are very welcome!
Omg it actually worked! Thank you
Thank you so much, you are so clear in your instructions. Am amazed by and thankful for your patience. Will be watching many more of your videos! Take care, hope all is well with you during this trying time!
You are very welcome, I am glad you find the videos helpful. If you have a question or want a particular video made, please let me know.💕💕💕
Hi Gina. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experience. I am new to bead stitching/weaving and knew a few things, but your video helped me learn a few extra tips!! Thank you, again!!
You are very welcome 💕
I tried the adding on Fireline method where you burn the ends and I'm so happy to say that it worked! I wish I'd known this method about three years ago. I'm working on a modified chenille stitch and it's very difficult to add thread on. This method makes it so much easier. Thanks Gina! I've been watching you for years and I've made a bunch of your projects. Your videos are so easy to follow! Thank you for all that you do. 😀
You are very welcome, so glad it was helpful. That Fireline trick is the best thing to happen since beading was invented! LOL. So happy you enjoy the videos, thanks for the nice comment 😜💕
Gina thank you so much this has been the most valuable information very helpful
Fabulous! So happy to be helpful 😁❤️
Thank you. This works so much better than any other method I have used. Love your videos by the way, very much appreciated as I know this takes a lot of time to do. 💜
You are very welcome, so happy it helped. Thank you for watching and commenting 💕
Thank you so much for the great instructions. You are a gem!
Thank you for watching, you are appreciated too!❤️
You explain how to add the thread so simple that way!
Yes, it’s a great method😁
I have been struggling with this same issue. I have purchased every kind of thread, Fireline, Nymo, you name it. Also I have quite a collection of needles. BUT - I was stuck because I simply could not get any thread through that needle's eye! Thank you so very much. Perhaps I'll be able to create something instead of just a mess!!
LOL, I feel you...I was There! It was so frustrating 😫
OMG thank you so much.. I was struggling everytime for my 10mm and 12 mm projects... This is Brilliant !! Thank you
You’re so welcome!
I am currently working on a new project
Wow great thank you love it ❤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for sharing 🤟🏻❤️💋
You are very welcome 💙
Very helpful, thank you
Glad it was helpful!❤️❤️♥️
Hello Gina, thank you excelente, I am beginning beaded 🤓🤓
+Stela Rojas Good! You will have fun here then, so happy you are watching👍🏻👍❤️😀
She did not say so but one way holes in needles are created by punching a solid piece. The direction the punch hits the needle creates a sort of gradual descent into the hole, more abrupt on the back side. This maybe microscopic, but if you just can't get the thread through, turn the needle over and see if it helps. and thread, even fireline has a 'nap' or 'direction', which affects tangles. Off the spool, and through the needle is more correct than the other way around.
Actually, I don’t know how they are made, but instinctively turn the needle over if I can not thread it.
Thank you this was very helpful 👍😘
You are very welcome 💜
Been looking for something like this thanks for the tips. Great tutorial
You are very welcome 💗
Thanks for all the information Gina!!

I'm so glad you shared this! I am the world's biggest coward when it comes to adding thread, so this alleviated a lot of my anxiety about beading, lol. BTW, just found out that nanofil & fireline have been discontinued 😢😢😢 Have you tried anything else yet? Can you recommend anything? Love❤ your videos!
This is awesome!!
+elba reives Thanks!💞👍😜
Brava grazie 👏👏👏
You are welcome, glad it was helpful!
Thanks dear
Thank you
You are very welcome!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Soooo helpful! I just need some advice on how to tie off the thread at the very end, finishing the project?
Have you watched a few projects I have done? I show how to tie off the ends. It’s basically sewing through and knotting between beads.
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!
You are very welcome 😁
I have to say you are the best teacher I have ever seen... you pay such a huge amount of time on the details and neatness which is so important when beading...your videos are how I relax these days... I consider your channels an important comfort zone for people especially in these high stress situations
So a big thank you to you for being so generous with you time and talent ...
I do however have a question on where you stand on copy write Do you allow people to use your designs for sale and are people allowed to use your lesson to teach classes? ...
Thank you for such a sweet note, you are very kind and generous with the compliments . I do allow people to copy and sell my designs,. I like credit when posting pictures in group on the web, because it brings me more views here. I think teaching a class is okay too, as long is it is not on you tube, or on the internet at all. In person classes I don’t mind.
@@GGCBeginningbeaders thank you very much that is very generous of you... beading is my happy place and i like to share...
@@lauritadominick6163 me too!💕
Me encanto la pulsera y la felicito por su trabajo, solo quiero saber que num de material utiliza para adquirirlo. Por favor gracias
Thank you so much!! :)
You are very welcome ❤️
Thank you, this is great! Love your work!
You are very welcome!
dear Gina, this way to add new thread is ok using 8/0 as ur herringbone work but sewing an earring with a bezel and a beaded part around it doesn't work as well, love 💜💜💜
It does work, you just have to make the blobs on the thread very small.😬😁😀😜
HI GINA👋😃... To start with... YOU ARE AWESOME... And i do have a quick question (and please don't think i am being rude or anything... i am truly just a newbie with prob a silly, silly question)... but... is there a reason you don't use those collapsing needles as opposed to the needle you just demonstrated how to thread its super-tiny eye?? again... i'm just curious... and wondering if in your opinion you PREFER that type other than the other style.... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! U ROCK!!!!!!!!....
UPDATE:... WOW, WOW, WOW!!! i just watched the rest of your tutorial and HADDDD to wake up my husband.... to show him the ULTRA-COOL way you just connected two threads🤣🤣🤣... i couldn't help it... it was just too cool not to share👌👌🤣❤️awesome
LOL, I am sure your husband hates me now! Ha! To answer your needle question, I do not use large eye collapsible needles because they are not stiff enough to pass through very tight beads, the are harder to pass through many times, they are very long and I find them less maneuverable. Plus, I learned with this type and I am just used to them. But, you can, of course use anything you can make work for you, there are no rules.😁💙💜❤️
You r great
Thanks, you are sweet.🌹
Hi Gina, I'm not a beginner but I never knew the trick with the lighter. I appreciate the tip. Thank you very much for taking the time to share! One question tho, does the beading thread ever melt inside the beads?
+rawlsmar Perhaps, if you heat the beads up, but you need to only get the flame close to the thread, not on it and only for a second
I recently tried a kit I bought and the thread that came with it just frayed when I tried to squish it with the pliers. It only got worse from there with taking an hour to thread it and then it bent the eye end of the needle and I was told to use a certain length of the thread because I don't like the way you have to add thread. Well, that just got all knotted right after I put the first beads on the needle before I did anything else. Sufficed to say, I was ready to scream and throw it all against a wall. I don't think I am cut out for bead stitching like this when I don't have a physical person with me in the room who knows how to do it. It looked so simple until I tried it. I admire people who can do it because it makes gorgeous pieces.
+Jwb52z try it again with fireline, you can buy it at sporting goods stores in the fishing department. The right supplies make all the difference in the world. Just take your time, practice joining the fireline so you don’t have to use long lengths, it takes practice, but it is really worth the effort.
Thank u I'll try
👍👍👍😄
Can you maybe please help me with my problem? I am trying to thread the tiny eye of some beading needles with a certain nylon thread. No matter how many times I flatten the thread to try and put it in the eye, I can't get it in there. I'm just thinking the thread is too big for the needle. I can get it into a cross stitch size needle. But, that needle won't go all the way through a size 11/0 seed bead. It will go through a size 6/0 seed bead, however. When I'm working with the 11/0 beads and the small needles, I can sometimes get a smaller thread to go into the tiny eyed needles. But, when I use the smaller thread, it always breaks after I've been working with it and have passed it through the 11/0 seed beads a few times. I'm wondering if you can recommend a small beading thread and needle that won't cause it to break when I'm working with it in the 11/0 seed beads. Also, a few times the eye of my beading needle has sometimes just broken because of trying to draw a large piece of thread through the tiny eye to be able to work with a size 11/0 seed bead. Do you know of a brand of needle that won't break because of the thread? I appreciate any advice and help you can give me.
Yes, I can help. Buy Nanofil fishing line 8 or 10lb test weight. You can get it at sporting good stores like Cabellas. You can also find it on Amazon. Then, get a John James English beading needle size 10 or 12, size 12 is smaller than 10. You will need to squash the tip of the thread with flat or chain nose pliers to get it through the eye of the needle. This should help.
I have been having so much trouble with threading a needle
Can I extend my thread using your method with wildfire? I use both fireline & wildfire & they both seem to be the same type of thread or are they?
Probably, but wildfire is pretty thick, be careful to keep the blobs small.
Thank you so much, I didn't know this way of adding thread. I used the slip knot method and sometimes it used to end up being too big for beads. Can you pls tell me the brand of scissors you used for fireline. I have tried everything and still never get a good sharp cut.
You can get scissors specifically designed to use with braided fishing line, like Fireline, at Cabela’s sporting goods store or online. They are called Rapala® Super Line Scissors.
@@GGCBeginningbeaders Thank you so much
Will this work with 11/0 beads?
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Is it possible to do this with nanofil or does this only work with fireline?
Yes, Nanofil works just as well, I use it and extend it all the time😁👍
@@GGCBeginningbeaders Thank you so much! I'm new at beading and I'm really afraid to invest in the wrong products. I saw another video on RUclips saying, that the thread has to say 'for beading' on it to work, so I'm so confused. I thought any fishing line would work for beading...? Thank you again for your wonderful videos :-) :-)
Um... i am 61 years old and trying to thread that teeny tiny needle looks impossible with my old eyes. Couldn't I just use one of those large opening very thin beading needles?
Super mam thank you for sharing nd will u please upload the same how to attach for flat spiral stichting because thread needs very much i hope I ll get reply
Do it the same way, it’s not the stitch I was showing, it’s the method. It works with every stitch.
Cute nails😊

How do I make pass thru in to the 11-0 and 15-0
The question is to vague, I am not sure what you asking.
Does it work with smaller beads as well
+Lolo d Yes it can work with beads as small as 15/o. You just have make sure to make your blobs very small.
Can you use this with peyote?
Yes. Any project, any stitch.
