- Step inside the home of the principal designer at Essajees Atelier, Sarah Sham whose vibrant, plant-filled Mumbai abode has vintage bones that add to its quaint, old world charm. While Sham’s home is indeed a reflection of the designer’s own aesthetic-and in many ways, the confidence she has earned to trust her instincts, even when they go against the grain-it is also an homage to the heritage of the city. “When you’re in this beautiful heritage building, you do owe some respect to the space that you’re coming into.” Sham opened up to what the apartment had to offer, and the space obliged. “It is comfortable, modern living, with an aesthetic that is based in heritage.” Stay tuned for the full tour!

This is such a gorgeous house. What makes it stand apart is that it doesn't look like a collection of trends. It's warm. It's personal. And it looks like a home that reflects its owner, not one that has been curated by a designer in a month's time. Absolutely love it.

It is not very wise to have a rental home when you can afford to get one.
I love her personality, but its not my style.
Such cheerful personality and positivity are a plus , but the interior work is soooo jumbled and non cohesive specially the console and clay collection . Reminds me of Suzanne khan home which looked like a mad lady's apartment . The entire home has poor lighting and ventilation and quite dark hallways , why would you block all the natural light with sky heigh planters inside ...has a old 70's Anglo indian home feel to it with its dreariness and tile patterns . It's neither modern nor cohesive or artistic . It's like the designer can't choose a design style palette..
Where do I see Suzanne Khan’s apartment?
The thing is it's also a rented house. It's much harder fo decorate with its not your own house. She couldn't even change the flooring etc.

I almost didn't watch this when I saw her carrying that really large dog. He looked terribly uncomfortable...

Gosh I really don't like the interior decor here....... the only element that's salvageable for me about her place is the original architecture of the flat. The rest is just depressing.
It is sad when a designer does not know much about Feng shui ---her bedroom was a danger zone. It tells that the energy in it invites third party (tv, mirrors that reflects the bed).
Not everyone believes in fengshui. So for her it irrelevant
