Handtevy Minute - ICE ICE BABY (Stable SVT)

Have you ever tried using ICE for a child with stable SVT? It turns out that in order to elicit the diving reflex the face must be exposed to cold "water." Besides dunking your patient's head in a cold tub, not many people perform the ice maneuver appropriately. Here's 2 minutes on how to use ICE for SVT. Enjoy!

Omg..it worked..THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My svt started at 8:30 this evening..ice cold water didn't work this time. I found your video..went to freezer lulled out a bag of ice put on my face, 60 seconds later..it stopped. Thank you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@yungsavage1999 Hello! Yes I do..about once a month. I had a ablation in another area a few years back, but not I have set in another area..so.. I'm keeping portable firstaid ice packs in the car and when I travel. They get cold as 35°. I'll just smash that on my face! Lol!

I had a look at this because my toddler had this done yesterday. her first svt episode, happened during being monitored for pneumonia. it worked a treat but must admit, was awful to watch.
