What a brilliant PTTP video. An excellent introduction to visiting London - you will see a lot of wonderful architecture / buildings, but take to many photos and the armed police will turn up. I think the place has lost its atmosphere in recent years, and certainly become even more 'touristy' - as shown by the large amount of shops selling souvenirs. In some ways London and the UK seem similar to the USA - wanting to sell items (probably made in another country on the cheap) to tourists and take their money. The Buckingham Palace itself seems like a shell with no atmosphere. Aubrey Allen van drivers should keep their nose out ! Excellent work PTTP - pure class.

I remember the "I'm backing Britain" campaign that started in late 1967, and how it collapsed into farce when it turned out that the Thousands of "official" T-shirts with the Union flag and logo publicising the campaign were actually made in Portugal.

IMPO, I can kind of understand why the 2 cops were instructed to question you for what appears to be a preposterous reason however, after the Michael Fagan incident Royal security had to be heightened to what it is today! Maybe those cops could investigate your stolen bike if they have any spare time from investigating people photographing the palace. To be fair, those cops were polite enough, but I was worried for your safety when I spotted the gang badge!
When my husband was in London, he took photos of Buckingham Palace. Good thing they didn't throw him in a dungeon for it.
It could still happen. They might not have found him yet. I’m going to stay away from Buckingham Palace then because this was truly, truly both weird & somewhat scary.

IMPO, I can kind of understand why the 2 cops were instructed to question you for what appears to be a preposterous reason however, after the Michael Fagan incident Royal security had to be heightened to what it is today!
