No gloves worn during the preparation procedure? Isn't this task performed within a Medication hood? Isn't the vial swabbed with an Alcohol pad? Minor point: wouldn't it be more efficient when extracting product out of a 50ml vial to utilize a 60cc syringe?
Mabs don’t require a hood. True chemos do. I would still double glove, mask, and goggles. Definitely swab with alcohol. And the guy filming is annoying. I used to mix chemo. And no way I would waste into a sink. Waste in yellow chemo bin dedicated to chemo vials. This video was terrible.
Thank you for sharing. My 6 year old son has autoimmune encephalitis. He has received a trial of IVIG. If he doesn't recover whithin 6 months, that's our next step according to his pediatric neurologist. Fingers crossed!
It didn’t seem that they did a dry run before the doing a real video. That’s videoing recording 101. Do a couple of practice runs before posting the “live” one. This video has a lot of really good information, it’s just too bad it wasn’t presented better. Maybe a second video can be done and replace this video ?
Firstly, a ns withdrawal of 74mls should have occurred and use alcohol swab on port before withdrawal, then swab vial after dust cover removed and inject 74mls of rituxin into 250mls of saline, I would have primed line first to not lose any medication, and one botll of 10ml med is approx $4500
I just got approved for this drug after 7 years of waiting. I was hoping to learn more about it here before I get my appointment but unfortunately this dude wouldn't shut his damn mouth so I could listen to her! I guess I'll go back to reading the pamphlet instead.
Wish the guy would shut up. Let her do her job. She knows what she's doing.
Stop interrupting her, bro.
I think the video would have been more informative had he not continue to interrupting her.
Dude, stop interrupting her!! That is so rude!!
I can’t even watch this because you keep interrupting her!

Johnny Gainor .... I wondered where the gloves were, also.

No gloves
I've only gotten one minute in and I'm deciding to stop the video and watch a different one bc the interrupting is annoying and rude.
Wasting into a sink? Not a chemo bucket?
Its not a chemo medication .
