This is great! We're about a year and a half into our business and haven't sent one EDDM or Post Card. We need to advertise using direct mail but just don't know how to do it the right way. Where would you suggest to go to get these made/designed, i have a way to get mailers out freely its just a matter of designing and printing them out.
What would you recommend for a pet sitting and dog walking business? We cover 20 towns.
I would consider a tartgeted mailing to a list of pet owners with incomes in the range your customers would typically have. That way you can spread out across multiple towns and hit your targets precisely. If you'd rather do eddm I would just really try hard to look at the specific neighborhoods that have your clientele. Hope that helps!

we can print stickers no problem but unfortunately can't do the scratch off type.

Jake I'm a Medicare Advisor how do I get a list of people who are over 64 to send a mailer to? I feel like EDDM would be irrelevant since so many people would get it who are under 65.

how often do you mail to the same route and how many times?
keep mailing to the same route, as often as monthly (sometimes 2x month), as long as the response is increasing or holding steady. Response generally increases over time as you continue to mail. Then it generally plateau's and you just keep mailing as long as it's profitable.

My biggest concern is total cost. If I was to have you design, print, and mail out for me 500 post cards I could imagine that being somewhere around $2k or more. Am I in the ballpark? Or am I totally off?

Well , when I receive a postcard, I see the front part first, if I don't see something that I like, I don't care about who send it, I just I throw it away!!!So I will send postcards with only one side printed!
Having another side is good just because it doesn't cost hardly anything more.
