Dear Pilgrim, I am a fanatic about detective movies and series set between Holmes in the 1880s up to and including the 1950s. This is an exceptionally well written and well acted series. It is highly enjoyable and I simply love it. I have looked everywhere to try to get copies of the missing episodes. Do you have any ideas on that question. I will appreciate any light you can shed on the subject. Thanks for the uploads.
I got addicted and watched all of them! My favorite by far is "Death by Proxy": excellent plot, very well thought. The only one I couldn't finish watching was "Death Visit." Cameron and Chisholm were a wonderful pair, I enjoyed their acting together very much. It is a pity you are missing "Death on Delivery," the last episode of Season 4, the last season...
+Eu Sei Do you know where I can find the episodes that I'm missing.? I love this series too. I'm only sorry that the video quality is so bad, since I had to take them from 30 year old vhs tapes. But thanks for watching and for the comments!
Unfortunately, until I saw your links at RUclips I didn't even know about the series... I checked the Internet and found this link through Wiki: www.broadcasting-history.ca/index3.html?url=http%3A//www.broadcasting-history.ca/programming/television/programming_popup.php%3Fid%3D394
Eu Sei me too, I had never heard of this series and had the great good fortune to come across Death by Proxy only yesterday! But maybe the series isn't very well known outside Canada, which is a pity. Deserves worldwide viewing.
Ah what a dear little doggie at 19:00 ... bloodhounds are so sweet, and great softies too. Don't see them around much nowadays, worse luck. I suppose modern forensic science has made the poor things redundant as detectives.
I remember watching The Great Detective when I was a teenager. I recognized a couple of actors in this episode who had series in the 80s on Canadian television. Winston Rekert played Adderly and on the show Neon Rider and Sara Botsford in the series E.N.G.
The train conductor used to pkay in a lot of usa, detective and police shows did not know he had started playing in british public broadcasting shows, interesting🤔🤔🤗😏!!!!
I watched this as a child. Thanks for sharing. 🙏👍❤️🇨🇦

What are the chances that woke CBC will ever make this entire series available for free?
Not woke, 🇨🇦 & thus the name.
Trump has done us a favor in bringing the bigots out of the woodwork so we can all know who they are 😂 lol
