I haven’t felt this electric about any artist since MJ and Whitney Houston. BTS are crazy good and polished it shocks me to the core in an absolutely beautiful way.

Dara Lee I just found out about them. They are INCREDIBLE. I've seen videos where they are singing live, like this one, and they have tremendous talent. With that being said, I know recorded music and they did lip sing their AMA performance but who cares, dancing like that I would have done the same thing for my US tv debut.

It’s not entirely instrumental live but the highlighted lines are recorded, just for them to take a lil break for breathing, and to put echo and emphasis on specific lines :) they did sang live in AMAs, but the audio was louder than their stage mics. So I think that made it look lipsynced. I hope you watch more performances of them! They’re really amazing :)

If you have good headphones you can hear the breathing and clothes hitting the mic as they perform, most artists are not actually singing and dancing anymore live
This and the Mic drop performance are proof they don't lip sync. You can clearly hear their voices over the backtrack. AMA's fucked up the audio or had the backtrack too loud which is why it seemed like they lip synced there.

How does the camera man understand this song better than those "professionals" at the AMAs? Not to mention BTS hardly had time to rehearse here and they still managed to capture some important moments like Jimin's cute close up at @2:02 whereas in the AMAs they completely missed it. The vocals and the raps slayed so hard in this performance. Jimin and Jk sounded exactly like how they would in the studio version but LIVE. The stage is not big enough for Tae's voice tho lol. Jin my baby can you be more handsome? and the rap line just own in whatever they do. Stellar performance.
I felt like they danced with such a homely feeling / like kinda informal way like with soo many smiles while dancing, Jimin's heart, Jin's flying kiss and many gestures! It felt sooo good to see that!❤ (Like they know they're with their fam and can go out of the choreography to give some smiles😉❤) (I'm saying homely/kinda informal as compared to how they have to formally dance/stick to the choreography completely at other performances) Idk if this makes sense i hope this is understandable😂
I'm constantly rewatching this performance and what makes my heart just flutter every time is Jimin's smile when he's holding out his hand and sees all the fans holding their hands out as well. Indescribable joy seeing that man smile like that

If you have good headphones you can hear the breathing and clothes hitting the mic as they perform, most artists are not actually singing and dancing anymore live
This and the Mic drop performance are proof they don't lip sync. You can clearly hear their voices over the backtrack. AMA's fucked up the audio or had the backtrack too loud which is why it seemed like they lip synced there.
Also they were doing adlibs as well. So more proof.

How does the camera man understand this song better than those "professionals" at the AMAs? Not to mention BTS hardly had time to rehearse here and they still managed to capture some important moments like Jimin's cute close up at @2:02 whereas in the AMAs they completely missed it. The vocals and the raps slayed so hard in this performance. Jimin and Jk sounded exactly like how they would in the studio version but LIVE. The stage is not big enough for Tae's voice tho lol. Jin my baby can you be more handsome? and the rap line just own in whatever they do. Stellar performance.
