Anybody feel that the ice cream company's are giving u less Ice cream in the carton and charging higher prices.. The company is charging close to $5or 6 for 1 1/2 quarts of ice cream which is a lot compared to the half gallon you used to get for half the amount. I always remember the 1/2 Gallon cartons were no more than between 1.99 and 2.99. Which was a great price for the amount. I wish the company's would bring back the half gallon sizes again. Also I wish the 8oz yogurt would return. I loved the old Dannon 8oz containers with the top. Wish Dannon would bring these back.
@@liztrainer895 yes. I remember the half gallon containers, as a kid, too. Everything is smaller and about the same or more. Shopping as a adult a flipped when I noticed Kraft charging more for less product. I was on the phone with them in the supermarket complaining.
Did you ever watch the history of some of the first commercials dating back from the beginning of television ? They make the commercials irritating on purpose to make it stick in your mind so you will buy their products.
Somewhere in the late 90s it seems that advertisers collective decided that violently assaulting people's senses and appealing to their depravity was more profitable than putting even slight effort into their commercials. Sad to see how far the advertising game has fallen since these awesome commercials.
4:27 $7,777 for an optioned out Mustang, not even 20 grand in today's money. Meanwhile a Mustang gt STARTS at 35k. They are making way too much money off of people nowadays.
Great reel from my market as a kid. The Kool Aid spot made think that those kids are horrible businessmen, because a $1 car wash...unheard of. Cost of materials, etc. Not charging enough. Even for 1984.
That Bahamas commercial ran up into the early 1990's and I still haven't been there yet. I been to other places in the Caribbean but never there one day after all this Coronavirus I will.
"Extra value is what you get, when you buy Coronet". Anyone who has seen computer series called "Surfing on the internet" will probably think it's the same song just with word changed!?
Totally forgot about Crispix! That almond joy/mounds commercial was very sexy. That commercial with Cher! That Polar Bear one was awesome! I remember Tom Bosley for the Glad commercials!
@@CIorox_BIeach I'd rather eat a scoop of horse feed then a Quaker Granola bar. corn syrup goop they got going on, least horse feed I can see what it is and know the sugar is molasses.
@Maryse Bowen People deal with the discomfort caused by tampons so they can deal with the discomfort and atrocious appearance of too small, spandex skinny jeans, instead of just wearing real pants of the right size, or a dang skirt. Why? Because their parents never warned them about falling for advertising...
Ah yes, belted dresses. It was all about having a small waist. Imagine if women had to worry about such things now? Dresses are so roomy now: allowing for lots of blub: And CHER!!! Oh wow
You’d be how awesome these commercials are during social distancing.
I miss polar bar to. Klondike is similar to these. Who remembers Bon bons and Bryers Vienetta layered ice cream log.?

I'm not, I'm currently building a time machine. I'm going to live forever in the 80s&90s.

You are.
1:35 that was so clearly glue
Yes my first thought 🤗
On the spoon but not when being poured
I'm glad it wasn't paste, I would have eaten it.
They always do tricks like that in commercials to make the food look more appealing. They use paint on hamburgers too, for another example.
That's sticky.
Omg major flashbacks. I was 9 seeing these brings back great memories
To think now JC Penny and Sears are pretty much out of business
back when commercials were not INCREDIBLY OBNOXIOUS
AND WHEN THEY WERE GOOD😁😁😁
I dunno I Think every ad having it's own theme song can get a bit obnoxious lol

Back when women could be fully clothed and still look sexy as hell.
And they embraced color.
Now they wear Mechalin Tire style leggings and bland makeup. And are always bitter.
@@rmx4087- Nowadays we call those women Karen!
When commercials were actually fun to watch.
I Was 13 Just Beginning My Teenage Years 😢 I Had Michael Jackson Queen And Prince Posters On My Wall 😁😁😁
Lol! Me too except for those posters. I had Madonna and Daisy Duke posters.😁

Yes please! I want to learn how to dance Disco in 1984, after the Disco Demolition Night of 1979.
gaston0770 😂😂
Remember that.
I wouldn't want to be in a room alone with any of those eye doctors.
Back when you could buy a car with no glove box door, manual steering and manual transmission and no radio!
great job on these thank you so much for your kind of commercials and really don't see these no more
Love commercials from every decade !
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOREVER FOR THAT BAHAMAS COMMERCIAL - THANK YOU!!!!

Whoa. That first lady kinda creeps me out. Just the way her smile never really reaches her eyes.
Where??? Is the vitamin C in Kool-Aid???? LOL
Coronet tissue is too pretty to use lol I always liked colored T.P 😂
I've never seen a Goya beans commercial before now lol

Weed is for the moulies
We called it homegrown,
As opposed to skunk, now that was the good stuff.
Ugh 😣😫.
Close to 40 years ago. It makes you wonder what some of the pretty young women in the commercials look like today.
11:17: George Clooney's aunt, Rosemary--also singing the jingle.
Polar bear commercial was comical
those pink pants are a hoot!
Ads from 1984.
Good.
5:32 Got Em! Haha
Chewy granola bars, not crumbly because they are now full of sugar and chocolate so they aren't good for you anymore ☹️
Granola bars were horse food. Now they're excessively sweet horse food.

Who else is here cause of social distinsing?
That’s probably glue disguised as dairy...milk is not that thick, unless they used plain yogurt🥛
I read an article about stand-ins for food once, a lot of food wouldn't hold up for hours under hot lights. Lots of inedible substitutions!
Oh.

A Granola bar with chocolate chips?!

2022; BIDENflation and the great Tampax shortage.
It seems like people were happier in the 80s
