That version is absolutely amazing. Lou has so much emotion in his voice. He’s not just signing, he’s living it. He’s a pure legend. Nobody can compare. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had the privilege of seeing them during the Foreigner 4 tour in 1981, being on the floor, almost center stage and close to the front. Billy Squire opened for them and they rocked the house for over 3 hours combined. Definitely one of the best concerts of that decade. Come back yesterday.
+Robb Whenever I see this truism I always like to include early Kansas' Steve Walsh. I thought he was very similar to Lou Gramm in range and intensity.
Great Song , Great Band , Great Frontman !!! Lou Gramm NAILED IT !! Every Music Fan & Vocalist should be required to watch and Learn from this INCREDIBLE performance from Lou ! Enough Said !!!!!!!☺
I never tire of this beautiful, timeless song. It brings back so many different emotions of good and bad times in my life.. Nobody can sing this like Lou Gramm.
I have always liked Foreigner's music since the 1970s. Lou Gramm is such an awesome singer and Mick Jones is an absolutely brilliant overall musician (he can play everything and sing very well too).
Lou Gramm and Foreigner were one of the best, couldn't wait for each and every ALBUM to be released. I loved music stores back in the day and on any given Saturday you could find me searching for great music !
Funny, my mom was in love with Foreigner and I was 15 years old when this song came out and I liked them, but now I have an even greater appreciation for them. Now I just need a time machine. My mom still loves them.
I love this song since i was just a kid when Daddy always put the foreigner records on. And i still love this song til now. Never get bored with their songs. The live performance was a-maze-ing. Love it.
well it was a fun ride folks! while most of us are well into our 50s now it was such a good time back then. ahhh well, what can u do, 1985. WHICH WAS THE BEST DECADE TO BE ALIVE IN such good times back then and we sure had a lotta fun!!!!! didnt we. and friends good true friends that money couldnt buy. and i miss my mom every day u guys the best mom a fella could ever have. and she loved this song
OMG Lou Gramm IS Foreigner So many memories coming of age with this band Foreigner 4 was my husband's and mine signature album (Cassette lol back in the 1980s) Urgent, Waiting for a Girl Like You....
Lou Gramm is a contender for best rock vocalist of all time. Foreigner made magic with him. I grew up on Foreigner and I never lost my love for them. They were always melodic and moving two things that are lacking in today's world of hate and revenge song rubbish. This is a depressing time for the world and we need music like this again and fast.
I noticed in many early Foreigner recordings that Lou used very little effects on his voice, not even a hint of reverb! That's how great this guy sings!
Real nice vocal effort on this one. You can tell they're more worried about how they sound than running around as in older concert footage I've seen. Excellent band performance
Yesterday...is Always Beautiful ❤ Whit Lou 💙 Memories never Take away....❤ God Bless your awesome life...whit Lyricks who Come near us....❤❤💙💙 Thankfull in my Heart ❤ marie
I had the pleasure of seeing Foreigner on the Agent Provocateur tour back in the mid-'80's...of course, this song was there, along with "I Wanna Know What Love Is"...OMG...I have a virtual RESUME of some of the BEST concerts, from Foreigner, to Journey, to Fleetwood Mac, to Pink Floyd, to U2, to even...wait for it: MatchboxTwenty..
Lou may have had the greatest Power Rock voice of all time at this point of his career. Health problems took thier toll on his voice, but at one time he was in a league of his own.
Read Lou’s book, Jukebox Hero- excellent! Did you know he had a benign brain tumor at one point, but had successful removal. Also he’s a Christian! Man, so glad I’ll see him in heaven when we all get there! He’s still singing and giving interviews! Love Lou Gramm!
Lou Gramm WAS Foreigner....."That was Yesterday" my all time favorite. These musicians work hard.... Again... music is the great healer. Nobody knows what we are going through, day to day...stress, illness, loss, ECT. But for 2-3 hours, we can forget, and let the endorphin rush we get from music, help our souls.
u are right. nothin today gonna touch the 60-70s. it was before my time and i still no its true. lou has the perfect voice.glad he survived his illness
Kelly is ok , but Lou will always be the voice of Foreigner. this old-school rocker like the original sound better. I love Lous 2 solo albums also. Thanks so much for posting.
Lou Gramm at his prime, had no peers. Nobody better then or now. !! Mick Jones and Lou wrote some of the greatest songs ever written. Foreigner didn’t get half the credit they deserved..
Lou Gramm was unstoppable back in the day and just had my pic taken with him and his granddaughter when my son-in-law sold him a car ,so cool to stand next to my hero
That version is absolutely amazing. Lou has so much emotion in his voice. He’s not just signing, he’s living it. He’s a pure legend. Nobody can compare. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Definitely one of the best voices in rock, ever.
easily one of the best vocalists of our time so much feeling in his voice gives me goose bumps
I had the privilege of seeing them during the Foreigner 4 tour in 1981, being on the floor, almost center stage and close to the front. Billy Squire opened for them and they rocked the house for over 3 hours combined. Definitely one of the best concerts of that decade. Come back yesterday.
This needs to never end. What a fluid, powerful voice. Those high notes soared out so effortlessly.
He had the voice that still brings me back. I'm 55 now. He just rocked it loud and clear.
I’m 58 now and I’m feeling the same way!
There's no one who can do it like Lou. Love love love Lou Gramm. What a voice.
Lou Gramm and Steve Perry...two of the greatest rock voices of the 20th century...
Oh right, two legends Steve and Lou, great voices
+Robb Whenever I see this truism I always like to include early Kansas' Steve Walsh. I thought he was very similar to Lou Gramm in range and intensity.
Robb bang on Robb!
I'd have to ponder that a bit in terms of music and lyrics, but in terms of magnificent voices both Steve Perry and Lou Gramm are the tops.
Robb have to add Jimi Jamison of Survivor as well
Great Song , Great Band , Great Frontman !!! Lou Gramm NAILED IT !! Every Music Fan & Vocalist should be required to watch and Learn from this INCREDIBLE performance from Lou ! Enough Said !!!!!!!☺
I saw Foreigner add the ACC in South Bend Indiana Jukebox Hero tour loved it loved it loved it I love foreigner forever❤
The sheer vocal skill and ability just never ceases to amaze me. Lou, you just have to teach!
Can't teach that that stuff cause lou was self tough his a natural whit no technique all feel and troat
Lou Gramm was one talented vocalist and he made Foreigner. You never can replace a frontman like him.
Lou really kicks major vocal butt in this performance.
I wish we were young again and see Foreigner in concert. I never got the opportunity to see Lou in concert. He’s awesome.
steve perrys journey and foreigners lou gram , best of my years .....THAT WAS MY YESTERDAYS.
I never tire of this beautiful, timeless song. It brings back so many different emotions of good and bad times in my life.. Nobody can sing this like Lou Gramm.
It just does not get better than this. Lou Gramm is in his absolute prime for this song. Wonderful.
I have always liked Foreigner's music since the 1970s. Lou Gramm is such an awesome singer and Mick Jones is an absolutely brilliant overall musician (he can play everything and sing very well too).

Same here. I just saw them and Kelly Hansen at lead singer has kept the level of greatness equal or better than the past. Great concert.
Gracias Lou por compartir tu talento. Sos una leyenda viviente. 👏👏👏
I love this song since i was just a kid when Daddy always put the foreigner records on. And i still love this song til now. Never get bored with their songs. The live performance was a-maze-ing. Love it.

Agreed! They better get in and one of the greatest rock bands by far in the history of music.
Wow! He really does have an awesome voice!
Lou had so much soul and passion. Even at 63 he still has it. True legend and still quite young. Please never retire Lou

This was the Agent Provocateur Tour. I was a Junior in High School when I saw them so that puts it at 1986. The song was released in 1985 though. :)
Wish I would have been there...probably one of Lou's best performances!
Lou may have had the greatest Power Rock voice of all time at this point of his career. Health problems took thier toll on his voice, but at one time he was in a league of his own.
great voice, great song, great group and great edge.
1 of the most epic vocalists EVER. 80's frontmen Lou Graham,Steve Perry, Mickey Thomas,Dennis DeYoung & David Coverdale were the best
many thanks for posting - never enough to hear Lou Gramm's so magic voice - a real rock icon !!!!
I love them I just saw them at my school they are the best
Beautiful voice and awesome talent, live or recorded. Wish Foreigner was still making music, I'm sure it would be the best today, as it was back then.

Classic and straight to the heart
This song never got the airplay it deserved, while I lived in Houston, but I felt it was a great song, from the first time I heard it.
The thing about Singers, is u can't replace an Original, those ones that are very unique,..are like a fingerprint.
The most UNDERRATED SOFT ROCK Song of the 80s...
soft rock........really dude?
Yes sir Lou Gramm!!! Awesome always in my heart!!
Wow, Lou was a special singer. Nobody can sing with such power for so long. Sad his voice is shot but glad he and mick are talking.
