I've been using the EZ stuff for years. Wow what a product, but what about guitar software. I'd love to mic an amp but my wife and girls don't like that solution for some reason. I'm finding that alot of the bundled packages are resource hogs. Guitar Rig 6 is at the top my top failed attempts. I'm wondering now if multi-effects unit into my interface is the best solution. Any suggestions?
The Neural DSP stuff, to me is by far the best guitar rig software. Check out the new Rabea and John Petrucci ones they have. So many great tones and effects!
@@MusicWithMarky I started down the Neural path a few weeks ago. I'm a Rabea fan but the syth option is something I'll never use. Petrucci on the other hand, I saw him live, knowing only one Dream Theater song. Wow what a tone. I'll definitely look into that one. I'm an 80-90's guy so Nolly intrigues me too, but the mic options with Petrucci are hard to resist. Thanks for the advice.
@@steveeckert8396 if you are on a budget, Audio Assault has some really really good stuff on offer. I personally use the Sigma suite and AHM 5050 the most often. Where it lacks in comparison to the neural DSP stuff is in the effects and presets. But in comparison to the free amps, you can get to your desired tone faster by starting at the preset and then tweaking it. Ah yes I found the neural DSP IRs to be better too or more 'mix ready' I guess. Whereas the audio assault stuff feels better to jam on sometimes.
I haven't done one yet because I'm not sure what to say. I like both for different reasons. I just have to get adjusted when I pick one up and then it makes me play kind of differently, but I think that's more personal to me than something that will be very informative to people.
The "finding other musicians" skit starting at 0:40... Isn't really a skit. Lol. Almost overly accurate. You could probably make a whole channel doing thodr skits. Add the guy who shows up super drunk/high, the guy who starts smoking indoors, etc. These software companies should use this in their marketing.
