I hate when they change the names of what the knobs do. It's just stupid. You have a volume and a gain. just call them that. You have a high, mid, and low. Just call them that. You are not being clever by making up different names. With that said I kinda love this pedal.

Come on, man, maybe try "mildly dislike", at most. Be serious, this is the last thing that you can literally hate of all the stupid $^ht in this world. Even in the gear manufacturer world, for that matter.
There are several reasons for the names here:
      1. The original pedal that this imitates also had (some of) these names. Visuals are important: you bring a good product to the people only if their eyes first like it.
      2. It's a fun simple pedal. There's literally zero chances to not master the pedal if you just start with the knobs low and find them out. Imagine having one of them Zoia-things with no indication other than some funny symbols. No one complains about that, why would this simple distortion be an issue.
And now here's a long read:
It is clever. Anything that helps you stand out is super clever. When everybody looks the same, plays the same, and says the same "safe" things that forums demand, you perish. You don't listen to that. You don't listen to the "good folk" who just wanna good danlop red round fuzz into a fneder 506070 remereissue to rock that authentic paul of theirs. Those people buy what the majority dictates and mindlessly hate everything else. Literally dumb braindead hate. But that's completely useless to you as a small builder. You do a fun pedal that looks the part and intrigues people. They hear it, and they LIKE IT. A whole lot. And then they buy it. That's how it works for all the builders who are not a mammoth lifestyle brand. Hence the fun art, fun knob names, fun colors, name of the game is fun. And fun is good.

@@PairofPandas No I hate when pedals don't even give you a hint of what they do. It's stupid and bad for business. At least if you can tell what the knobs are it would give you a clue of what the pedal is. But I will reject a pedal every time if I can't tell what it does by reading it. I don't care how good it is.

@@PairofPandas Are you serious? You think boss has copyrighted High, mid, low, gain and level? That's nonsense.

@@w1zard0f0h Wait, you're not reading, like seriously: Boss HAD the exact names FAT and MUSCLE on its PW2. FAT and MUSCLE. The names that you don't like. Drunk Beaver took those names SPECIFICALLY to be identical to Boss. This is the whole reason for the funny names. What copyright nonsense are you talking about??
And, again very seriously, hating pedals is one of the dumbest possible things. You cannot be serious that you hate a funny little knob name for a pedal. Are you angry when someone writes "Tone" on their knob, and they give you zero info about the frequencies? High mids? Treble?? 2k, 4k what 8k, what is it???? Or is this just selective anger at the most benign things?
Really, we ask that you reconsider all this. At least don't call it hate, man. It's not good for you nor for the music world. There's too much of this dumba$$ hate over the pettiest things in gear and music already.
Let us know if you have a question, we'll do our best to help out.

@@PairofPandas Oh, I didn't see the read more. I didn't know boss did that as well. But I still stand on the fact I hate that. Don't get me wrong. I do love the sound of this pedal I just wouldn't have bought it just by seeing it. If I didn't hear it in your video I would have never heard it. And that's probably why I never heard the boss one either. I don't play a lot of Grunge music but i may buy one of these just to have. who knows maybe one day I'll do something with it.
