I am proud (and sad) to say that I am a Day-1 player of this game. I was there at the start, and I will be there the day it ends. SQEX is not going to make the game available offline, so I decided to make this compilation of all GL character animations.

BEHIND THE SCENES
You might notice the lack of Dare to Defy uploads. That's because I've been busy with this! I spent about 1.1M gems to get the entire roster's weapons -- and that was the easy part. Hard part was maxing out everything! It was a grind, but thank SQEX for Skip Tickets and 3x books. I'm now the proud owner of virtually every single weapon and armor in the game! xD
With the housekeeping done, it was time to record everyone's animations. First order of business: picking the stage/fight. The newly released Cactuar fights are actually quite good. We have options for single or multiple Cactuars -- with the latter useful when we need to showcase off-turn or counterattacks. They also lack any annoying power-up announcements, Force Gauge, and resistances -- basically a one-fight-fits-all event for this purpose.
Second: what buttons to showcase? S1, S2, EX, LD, FR, and BT are the main ones I want to record. I skip 99% of BRV and HP attacks, unless they're uniquely transformed, or are an integral part of the character's kit, e.g. Yuna's transformed BRV/HP attacks.
Characters with full FR+BT are the easiest to record. I just activate BT, and pad one turn with AA at the beginning, and the rest is in order of S1, S2, EX, LD, FR, and BT. If the character gets a new attack from their BT activation, I spent one turn after BT Phase to showcase the new attack.
Exceptions
1. Auron: his [Soar] attack is stack-based effect from his BT. For him, I decided to activate BT Finisher at the beginning, then use Soar once at the end.
2. Ace: he has a unique attack that activates only upon BT expiry. For this, I also started the showcase with his BT Finisher, then AA twice to waste turns before entering BT Phase. The expiry attack can be seen at the end of his segment.
For characters with BT and no FR, if they do not have a unique BRV/HP attack, I unequip their BT Extension so they only have five turns inside BT Phase: AA, S1, S2, EX, LD, BT Finisher.
For characters with neither BT or FR, it's just plain showcase of their base kit. I utilize Seymour or Shelke calls for this. Seymour for delay, so I get no interruption from enemy turns. Shelke for EX recharge for characters with especially slow EX recast. Crystal Ability 4 was also used often for extra consecutive turns.
As for the actual recording session: I record every character individually. I have 175 videos at the end of it, each about 1-2 minutes long. LOL. My poor phone storage. I had to empty my Music folder and deleted bunch of apps to make space for this. xD

The fact that you recorded this all on phone so well without using a casting tool or bluestacks is amazing. I couldn't stop tearing up watching some of these. I also couldn't help glaring at how short the Tactics section is next to the enormous Type-0 one....the producer's bias for his other game definitely shows through.
Im also a day1 player of this masterpiece. Still sad about its end.

Man it makes me so sad that there isn't an official offline version of the game. I enjoyed this game so much. The concept was so great.
i know it's copium but maybe someday there'll be a offline version (mega man x dive said the same but then made one lol) even if i have to pay for the game and the story being unfinished (which is the part that hurts me the most) i would love to return to this world... maybe someday hopefully

Best animation will forever be Cyan's Tsubame Gaeshi (Ex). Not randomly in fight but as a finisher with just a tiny bit of slow down *chef's kiss*

Thank you so much for this video I was honestly thinking about doing something like this but ever since the announcement its been a very surreal feeling that at the end of feburary its just gonna be over for good so its been a little hard of a pill to swallow but the music, animations and voice acting that is in this game definitely needs to be preserved and im very thankful for this video and every other bit of content you covered for this game 6 years playing this game and i wont forget it !

I kinda regret not logging in one last time and screen shotting my stuff I built over the years.
On one hand I don't mind because I will eventually forget and move on but on the other, it would have been nice to look back at what was.
Thank you for uploading all the character attack animations, upon the upcoming shut down we will no longer be able to play and watch our favorite characters do their attacks ever again, with this on youtube it will be a consolation of what left behind by DFFOO. Nevertheless, all of us had a great time with DFFOO.

I've been playing since day 1, one of the most beautiful gatcha games, it contained all the characters from the FINAL FANTASY universe, it will never happen again with such cute graphics, in February I too will make a final farewell video
i love this game so much i'll never forget it ! i started in 2020 when covid happened and quit in 2023 because of the FR era. i especially loved the game during the Lufenia era

Truly sad days upon us. Opera was best for me in many regards. Nice gameplay, awesome interactions between favorite characters, cool voiceover. I'm once more disappointed in SQEX in their disposition in regards of older games, they are lazy with remasters(ff9, legend of mana, etc) and now they shutting this game without offline version.
Proud Day 1 player as well (although I took a few breaks here and there). Sad to see a great game go. The game needed better leadership with a vision I feel. Cheers to DFFOO

The series flopped since NT, DFFOO was lucky that it's basically the F2P paradise ever since the change on pull weapons that only consist on only featured units, and by lucky i mean really "lucky" since the game lasted for 6 years and more than RK GL

Yeah, it's confirmed in the End of Service announcement. But the communities are pushing for offline via petitions. Not sure if SQEX will respond to that or not.
