@Brand B I almost passed out myself watching my first surgery during my clinical rotations. Good thing I was sitting behind the surgeon (he was also sitting), so he didn't see me clench my teeth, focus my breathing, and keep my head low for a few mins (had to answer questions too while trying to stay conscious 😂)... Fun times! 😁😅
Honestly I think it’s the most disgusting thing ever!! I’ve got the surgery don’t and being that they use a camera to do this surgery usually most patients get the video if they want & it’s was just nasty
Got my second acl surgery done with the repair of the lateral and medial meniscus and the LET procedure on my knee. 5 months after surgery I can run 3 miles pain free and so happy I feel relatively better🙏🏻
It was actually kind of cool after I got my ACL surgery. They have me a CD that had the whole operation on it and everything xD super neat... Besides after waking up after said surgery the Dr had a need to almost immediately tell me I was going to have "Full blown arthritis" in my knee by the time I was 25... I was 16 at the time.... 31 now... And he wasn't lieing xD
Dang, that stinks. I'm 16 now and my poor knees are already a bit beat up. Mostly just from dragging my cleats in the grass while kicking field hockey balls, because it was a bad angle to be pushing your knees anyways, but I also got some lovely nerve damage from a dirt bike crash over the summer. But hey, my knee finally stopped constantly clicking! Can you like bend down and stuff still or is your knee too bad for that?
@@Sage-qd6tf oh no I can still move around, bend, hop, w.e I need to.... Some days it just hurts. Some days it hurts real bad and moving around can be a task but. All in all it's not too bad!
@@marshallhashey5478 oh that's good! My uncle has really bad arthritic knees and he wont get surgery because then he cant bend down to work on his trucks, so he has knee braces that he put on if they're hurting and he says they help, so if your knee is being a problem maybe you could get one to help (if you dont already have one)
I had an ACL reconstruction in 2017, they gave me a number of options as to what they should use to replace the ruptured ligament. I went with the hamstring tendon, as I was advised it would cause less scarring than a synthetic ligament.

I have my surgery tomorrow after i tore my acl while playing basketball in the fall before my senior year that I had very high hopes for 😢. Wish me luck.
Bro i also had complete tear of my acl ligament 2016 december. But i haven't went for surgery. I will recommend to no go for surgery. Because i know many cases where problem remains the same even after surgery. It's better to avoid sports activities in which twisting of leg is involved.....like football tennis basketball cricket etc. You can have to your running activities. But not the core sports game. Give your leg a time and care. Provide external support like hinged knee caps. And it's common than you will suffer mild pain during starting winter. It's better to do ALC ligament tear exercise and work on your hamstring and quadriceps muscle. If you go out where situation is little critical like catching train or like that....i will recommend you to wear hinged knee cap on those situation.
I never tore my ACL, but i know there are some people who have tore their ACL and lived for years without knowing. Those people could do intense activites without pain because they had a great movement pattern. I suggest you to have a look a the GOATA system on internet and understand what they do because it helped me with my knee pain
@@MarioL4c1 @MD ABID KALAM thanks guys for sharing. I dont normaly have pain in my knee but now that the acl is torn my knee gets twisted easily, and that is not a problem until i jump and land my foot in a worng position. Tore mine long ago. Surgery wasnt so bad but recovery took a while. I had a cadaver grafted vs the paterlar graft. My hamstring strength is less and sometimes my leg cramps if I bend it suddenly but at least I have stability. It was extremely painful to land improperly when I had the injury.

Very cool and accurate presentation. Some surgeons will use a cadaver graft or hamstring graft instead of the patellar tendon I prefer the technique shown here. I’ve posted LIVE surgery on my channel if anyone is interested. Stay safe.
Are you telling me that this can't heal on its own? You're telling me that prior to these operations, young people in their 18's 20's etc who tore their acl were screwed for life without recovery to becoming normal again at such a young age?
