Talking about being disgusted by the justification shown for Rudeus cheating on Sylphie and bringing Roxy as a second-wife. Mentioning being disappointed by Roxy and Rudeus both. also, not saying he's not a scumbag or she isn't a home wrecker, the message is also bad, but people shouldn't take anime for what they should do in real life, no above iq human would ever do that or look at this and say "yeah ima fuck other girls while my wife is pregnant as long as i know she's probably gonna be okay with it". tbh ive never been that guy who parades around trying to dissect every nuance and message an anime has and hold them against what other people might be influienced by. it's fiction, i enjoy it for its story, what moral compass it has or the whatever actions it justifies or preaches mean nothing to me beccause i have a functioning brain to know what is right and what is ridiculous. and i don't think "reviews" should bother much with this either, although of course i do conceide to the notion that anyone can say and have an opinion on something anyway they want, and im not gonna stop you or anyone else from doing so. just saying, it ain't that deep boy. fictional anime guy had fictional anime sex with fictional anime girl behind his fictional anime wife. and that wife is okay with it and they lived happily ever after. who cares?
So since it exists, it is also justified ?

I loved S1 and S2 had some good ideas, but that ending is absolutely a bad faith setup for a harem. S1 showed what happens when you commit adultery. Now in S2 we get to find out that the entire ED subplot was a Red Herring and Rudy actually has plot armor where all the ways he wrongs his loving wife get ignored.

You gonna see Rudy bury himself alive (quite literally) when ss3 hit. His action WILL have consequences, it is yet the time.

and in the first season, despite Zenith's dissatisfaction, since she is from the Millis religion, she stays with Paul, and Paul gets Lilia as a second wife.
As for Rudy, the betrayal was needed to realize that he is no better than Paul, and therefore, for the first time in 17 years of his life, he recognizes Paul as his father, and for the first time feels like a part of this world, and not a reincarnated Japanese.
That is why the scene in front of the grave is so important, it is the finale of season 2, where Rudeus gains character, the goal of protecting his relatives, whom Paul left him, motivation and personality, which will be important for the next season
Both Rudeus & Roxy f*cked up & it's their mistake. But how the anime portray how Rudy handle those mistakes is the problem. Without proper context, anime onlies can only see Roxy abused Rudy in his weakest mental state & Rudy make an impulse decision to take the 2nd wife after cheating behind his pregnant wife. Many internal dialogs, thoughts & feelings from important participants like Elinalize, Sylphy & Roxy is clearly left out for the sake of the show's runtime. Now, saying this won't justify or redeem anything Rudy & Roxy did but it will make Sylphy's acceptance & Elinalize's suggestion, Roxy's guilt & Rudeus's decision much more understanable
as someone who knows a lil bit from the manga, he will end up making a 4 sided relation(s*me is censored)with eris roxy and silphiye, i did get very mad when he cheated but i noticed that in the past few episodes the writers tried to make silphiye boring so im not surprised at all, you can see her attitude changing a lot(not only with rudeus)

In my opinion, Eris is the best choice for Rudeus. Because Roxy is over 40, which is weird to be in a relationship with a teenager. And Sylphie loved Rudeus from the start, which is boring. And Eris didn’t like him at first, but she went through the biggest change out of everyone because of Rudeus. Eris lived with Rudeus for half of Season 1 and all of Season 2. And Sylphie only appears briefly and then magically returns to magic school. Sorry for my english im not native
His literal goddess in the flesh showed up at his lowest point and said she wanted him. Yeah he’s scummy, but that’s at least still better than Paul. Give him a little break, Roxy admitted she knew what she was doing.

first of all, the "goddess" herself was shameless and selfish for what she did. Secondly, I also mentioned this in the video, just doing this - 'Roxy admitted she knew what she was doing. ' - doesn't make the situation any better.

It's no wonder that you think it this way because sadly the anime cut a lot of content and IMPORTANT passes as to why everything turned out the way it is. I suggest you to read the LN, but for a quick summary, basically Roxy got "tricked" by Elinalise to go comfort Rudeus and they had an argument and also a deep conversation which lead to them having sex. Having sex WAS NOT planned. Then Elinalise lied to Rudy that Roxy was pregnant so he should take responsability and he stepped up even though he regretted cheating on Sylphy and bringing another woman in their relationship. Sylphy chose to forgive both Rudy and Roxy cuz she knew how important Roxy was to Rudy as he always kept talking about her (ever since they were kids) and she knew that Rudy would eventually bring another woman in their relationship so she didn't feel entitled to his exclusive love.

The problem here is that, the anime makes it look like this is the story of Rudeus' redemption while it's actually not. This literally is his second chance at life and the author depicts it just the way it is. Some of the stuff he does, does get glossed over without any consequences and it's ok to be mad at it. Rudeus is a morally gray character. There's no denying it.
