I´m 14 years old, and i got to know this Trio by my father, and i fall in love with this music it´s much better then the music which is played on the radio or in the tv ... i´m going to a live conzert in germany 2009 :)
I think its quite obvious why many young people can't appreciate this type of music, I'm 22 myself but I know even last year I wouldn't have been able to appreciate it as I wasn't in the right frame of mind. It jus depends on your level if maturity, and as I have matured a lot over the past year I too find it beautiful to sit back and listen to this amazing music. I don't think its many young peoples fault, they just aren't in that stage of their life yet I suppose.
And that's precisely right, Vardo. I, too, am 29 years old, a lover of hip-hop, ambient, and post-rock music. But Tord's music is definitely on another level.
Don't count me out, Fizm. I, too, am 29 and stumbling onto Tord Gustavsen's music has changed my life! And, yep, as vardo says, some people simply don't get it.
Include me! I am 25 and I love it) ...U can also add Keith Jarreth and Brad Mehldau to this superb constellation of slow-jazz wizards! Any other candidates?)
THEY are amazing. The way the guy hangs over the piano is slightly scary though =p However, great music. When I went to see them during a Jazz festival I think I was the only person below the age of fourty there though. (Myself I was 16 I think =p)

I discovered them about 3 years ago and they've been one of my all time favorites along with Evans and Dexter Gordon. Low tempo jazz rocks :)
We saw the Trio at the U Michigan last night for the first time - simply lovely jazz.

Norsk jazz er den beste jazz og Gustavsen er en av de best norske jazz musikker. Sååååå, logisk, Gustavsen er en av de best jazz musikker i verden.
Magnifique!
he will be performing at U Michigan next week, cant wait
I am a new fan.

Hey, I was supposed to attend that concert as well but I couldn't make it. Can you give me an idea of what songs he played?
