Hey, Data. It’s awesome seeing you go down this rabbit hole man. You’re honestly such a cool streamer and so is your community and I’m glad to be along for the journey.
Hololive Members are introduced (together) mostly in groups of 5 approximately 1 year apart (sometimes more sometimes less) known as "generations". Most people refer to the individuals by their generation number. However with the English branch the Hololive execs sorta decided to name brand the generation by titles instead of numbers (Myth Generation and Council Generation respectively) but a lot of people refer to them by their Gen number (1 and 2 respectively) anyway.
One thing that isn't clear, a lot of the promo art for the collaborations is done by Ina (the girl in purple). She's a professional artist. A lot of Ina's streams are actually of her drawing, so that's probably why she doesn't have many clips as they're mostly pretty chill. Ina was also a high-end raider in FFXIV. She's cleared all the Ultimate raids as SCH.
I'm sure others have described things for you already as to how Hololive works but I'll add my own explanation and hope it helps. The business Cover Corporation has three branches: a music label which is closing down in April and merging with the other two branches, Hololive, and Holostars. Holostars is the male vtuber branch and is considerably less popular than Hololive, and there is no english branch of Holostars at this time. Hololive has three main branches, JP (Japan), ID (Indonesia), and EN (English). There was a chinese branch, but that was closed down after conflicts. Within each branch, they release Vtubers in "Generations", in which several Vtubers are introduced all at once. In the Complete guide you watched before, you saw Gen 0-5 + Gamers of HoloJP, Gen 1 and 2 of HoloID, and Gen 1 of HoloEN. However that video is now out of date. Gen 1 of HoloEN is called HoloMyth, and Gen 2 is called HoloCouncil. Between Myth and Council is "Project Hope" which is Irys, who was primarily hired to be a bi-lingual vocalist. In addition, there is a Generation 6 of HoloJP called HoloX which came out only a month or two ago. You'll also hear the term "graduate" a lot with Vtubers. Graduating means that the character is retired or removed. The first ever graduation was Aloe of HoloJP Gen 5 very shortly after her debut. The other graduation was Kiryu Coco of Gen 4, who holds several world records, including the top superchat revenue and the most concurrent viewers on her farewell stream. She was also instrumental in creating the HoloEN branch. To explain what's going on with the 3D modeling. HoloJP members generally get 3D models after their first year of streaming. They have to go to the Hololive office to do the final tracking and tweaks of the models and perform their 3D debut on a specialized set. Everyone except HoloX has a 3D model, because they're too new. However HoloID and HoloEN have their 3D models prepared, but need to go to Japan to finalize it. COVID happened and the travel ban is keeping that from happening. So Detective Ame went all Thanos and said "Fine, I'll do it myself." Ame is what I would call a tech expert. She commissioned VR Chat models and a custom world, sent VR equipment to all of HoloEN, and organized their first anniversary in 3D, then a Halloween stream, and then a Christmas Stream, and then a full production studio in VR so they can continue to bring 3D content without the official 3D models. I recommend watching these streams specifically, because they're chaotic fun, and sometimes tearjerking. You will also start hearing about other Vtuber groups. Vshojo is a primarily Twitch-based english group of Vtubers, consister of Nyanners, Ironmouse, Silvervale, Projekt Melody, Froot, Zentreya, Veibae, and Hime Hajime. They are very uncensored. There is a bit of cancel culture surrounding them currently due to some politics. The other major group you'll hear about is Nijisanji, who has a metric TON of Vtubers in all languages including several generations of english female Vtubers and one generation of male english Vtubers that just recently debut'd. If you want to find out about individual Hololive Vtubers, I recommend the youtube channel Nagzz Discovers, where the ever-popular Nagzz of Twitch gets his friends to show him clips about each member, or go to Morphoduction's channel and watch the "Vtuber Experience" video series they're making.

Kiara speaks German, Japanese and English. German is her first language, and I don't know if English is her second or third language, but I've heard that her Japanese is better than her English.
@@zzskyninjazz1821 If you're saying you think she learned Japanese before she learned English, she said that she learned Japanese and became fluent in it in 5 months. It's also common in many countries for people to learn English in school. I'm very sure she's known English far longer than she's known Japanese, she just put more effort into learning Japanese than English because it was something she wanted to do and not something she had to learn in school.
Holo Myth is En gen 1, and Holo Council is Gen 2. IRyS debuted solo as a part of ”Project Hope” as a vsinger, as to give her more resources to release songs faster, as that’s what she specializes in. Her debut was about a month or so before the reaveal of Council, while Myth has been around for like a year and a half now. All of them are under the Hololive EN division though.
Yo welcome to the Vtuber rabbit hole! I'm here to explain some stuff you had questions about. Hololive is a VTuber agency located in Japan but they have 3 different "Regions" I suppose you could call it. There's the Japanese Vtubers, Indonesia Vtubers, and the English Vtubers. Each regions Vtubers are released as part of a "Gen" (Like for example HoloMyth was the first English generation for Hololive and HoloCouncil is the second English generation). Currently Japan has the most gens with there being 6. However, outside of the gens there exists someone called a VSinger. They mostly focus on singing music for hololive and aren't part of a specific generation. There's currently 2 of them, Azki is the Japanese VSinger and IRyS is the English VSinger. Don't let their title fool you tho, IRyS streams a lot of games when she's not putting out insanely good music As for your question about where everyone's from, not everyone knows. Obviously the Japanese Gen all live in Japan (Except Haachama unless she's moved), and all of the Indonesia Gen live in Indonesia, but for EN its different. Calliope (The grim reaper) is from the US but lives in Japan currently and its the same for IRyS. Gura, Ina, Mumei, Ame, and Fauna are in the US as far as we know. Kiara is from Austria and lives there now, and Sana and Bae are from Australia. There's a lot to cover with hololive so if you have any questions I'm more than happy to try and answer them.
Ina and Kronii are most likely in Canada rather than the US. No idea about Fauna or Mumei though. Mumei is likely also US but Fauna is the real unknown to me. Also Haachama has been back in Japan for a while now.
@@yuniex9106 I think Fauna is Canadian, and I'm very sure Kronii is, I saw a clip where they were saying lyrics of the Canadian National Anthem. For Ina I did read something that described her as, " A Canadian of Korean descent", though the only citation was to a reddit post discussing her Korean speaking ability as well as her accent, which some compared to Niki Yang, a Korean voice actress known for voicing BMO in Adventure Time, as well as Candy in Gravity Falls. As for the Canadian part that was from a comment saying that further digging revealed that she lives in Canada, which I think means they were digging into her past life, which I know nothing about, so I'm not sure about the accuracy.
Hey D.D., I'm glad to see that you've joined the Vtuber rabbit hole, I find it nice to see a new face getting exposed to the sheer chaos that these Vtubers show, and hope that you would still enjoy them. Plus there's still some nijisanji & hololive members that you've have yet to see like Luxiem of nijisanji en, holoX (gen 6 of hololive JP) and holostars (male branch of hololive).
HoloEN Gen 1: HoloMyth HoloEN Gen 2: HoloCouncil Then there's HoloEN Project Hope for the music part aka vsinger. Sole member is IRyS. She's an anomaly, though. For a vsinger, she streams a lot.
Welcome in the rabbit hole :D The deeper you go, the wilder the ride ^^ 10:53 To clearity the overall structure of Hololive (and other vtuber company). You can group Hololive member in branches. There are 3 active Hololive branches: JP, ID and EN. Within a branch you can categorize everyone into generation, which contains 4-5 member each Gen. JP has 6 Gens (8 Gens, if you also count "gen 0" and "Gamers"), ID has 2 and EN also has 2. They debut together and sometimes have an individual group name, like HoloMyth, HoloCouncil, HoloFantasy, HoloX etc.
The only reason I was looking at the ribbon was because I though that I might miss the context of the clip otherwise ill be ogling at those 2 huge time displacements she have lol.
I just stumbled on this and wanted to welcome you to the rabbit hole. It looks like others in your live chat and this video's comments sections already answered a lot of your questions, but to address WHERE Hololive EN is, I'll start with a caveat that many vTubers have different comfort levels of revealing their IRL locations. What I'll discuss below is info that is either openly revealed by the vTubers themselves or very poorly kept open secrets. HoloEN 1st Gen (MYTH) Calliope Mori (Calli) - Lives in Japan, but grew up in the southern US Takanashi Kiara - On debut, she lived in Japan and collaborated closely with Calli (creating the very popular fan pairing of TakaMori - from TAKAnashi Kiara x Calliopi MORI). She has since moved back to her native country of Austria (which she jokingly mispronounces as "European Australia") which makes German her first language. Amelia Watson (Ame), Gawr Gura, and Ninomae Ina'nis (Ina) all live in North America. I believe between the three of them, they cover at least two separate time zones. HoloEN "Project HOPE" IRyS - IRyS debuted alone as "Project HOPE" and is often considered something of a "Gen 1.5". She lives in Japan. HoloEN 2nd Gen (COUNCIL) Hakos Baelz (Bae) and Tsukumo Sana are both openly from Australia. Ouro Kronii, Ceres Fauna, and Nanashi Mumei are all officially "unknown" but generally believed to all be in North America. Mumei was revealed to be operating on Pacific time by Bae in one of their first collabs. At least a couple of the "North America" crew are thought to live in Canada due to certain Canada-isms that slip from time to time, but I won't directly mention who. I also wanted to mention that because of this, Hololive English is unique in that it's spread very far across the globe (as opposed to the Japanese and Indonesian branches, which are relatively very contained to a small geographic region). Because of this, the community often refers to an "EN Curse" which creates technical difficulties for the EN girls spread across so many time zones, especially whenever they try to do big collabs.
man get this man some hololive fanart animations... i have to channel my blackness a sec..... you know what i mean...? you nah what mean...? you nah mean...? nah mean? bonus: hey, hey is that you!?
the reaper Calli is one of my favs from en you only saw a lil glimpse of it but all of her music is really good Id highly rec checking out her songs plus if you actually want to make a vids of it they dont trip about it
As others have said, there are multiple gens in the branches of Hololive. JP the main one with . I say 8 if you count gen 0 who were debut with Sors first and then others joined over the next year. There is also gamers in between Gen 2 and 3. Also AZKi who is counted by some as gen 0 but was a side project, and known as a VSinger (focus on singing and music), but that side project is coming to an end after 4 years and will be officially Hololive in the coming months as she isn't done with what she wants to do. ID has 2 gens, with a 3rd coming hopefully in the next year. EN has 2 gens, gen 1 HoloMyth, gen 2 Holo council. And IRyS is solo as the EN Vsinger but is very active with all the members. So 6 members in ID, 11 in En. Those ones you were commenting about VRchat are indeed models for that program. Amelia, the Dective, got them made and got all of HoloMyth for their one year anniversary. The first few gens of JP mostly had their 3D models, with later gens getting 3D after a bit. The 3D models are mostly used for songs and concerts along with official Hololive channel collabs. They do this at the main office in Japan. ID gen 1 and EN gen 1 would have gotten their 3D models, but because they do the rigging in Japan, and travel has been restricted, they have been delayed. We are looking forward to when they get them as it means live concerts and more possibilities.
holo EN has two groups holo myth and Holo council myth: gawr gura : shark girl Mori Calliope: reaper Rapper Takanashi Kiara: phynix/chicken Ninomae Ina'nis: Lovecraftian priestess/ drawing talent Watson Amelia: tametraveling detective. holo councel : Ceres Fauna: mother nature Ouro Kronii: time ( with the Ribbon) Nanashi Mumei: embodiment of society Hakos Baelz: chaos/ rat/ hamster Tsukumo Sana (Graduated) : she was the embodiment of the galaxy.
I have mixed feelings about certain clip compilations because they frequently play up Kiara’s flirty/horny side, and while that’s definitely an aspect to some of her humor I feel like it ultimately makes a weird impression of her to newer fans who don’t know that she’s doing it as a bit/she’s not *that* thirsty.
Without Coco (and Haachama), Hololive EN wouldn’t be a thing. Kiara speaks German, but she’s not from Germany. She’s from Austria but the running gag is that she’s in Australia. Sana and Baelz are from Australia though. Coco belonged to the JP side of Hololive (4th Generation), but she is bilingual....though she’s more fluent in English than Japanese (ironic considering that she is Japanese). She’s from Atlanta then moved to Japan.
If you want to check specific people morphoduction has experiences for jp and some English hololive members, it helps learning more than specific clips
HoloCouncil is the gen2 of the English branch of Hololive. Each gen of Hololive has a different title/gimmick, like HoloMyth, HoloFantasy, HoloCouncil, Secret Society HoloX, etc. Also, IrYs is a member of Hololive English too, but she doesn't have a gen, she came in between. Collab are usually between genmates so a lot of the interaction you'll see is between them, who are rather close and get shipped with each other.
Hey man, thought I'd answer I couple questions you had in the video and drop a follow while I'm here. Hololive is an idol agency owned by Cover Corporation which is a Japanese tech company. They have different branches for different audiences, including hololive JP, hololive EN, hololive ID (indonesia), and holsters (their male talents). In holo JP the talents are separated by generations based on when they debuted and who is in their unit. In holo en jts the same thing but they don't call them "generations" but instead use themes. Gen 1 is holomyth, gen 2 is holocouncil. The crazy girl with the horns doesn't belong to either because she is a vsinger who's focus is more music than streaming, while the other girls are vtubers who focus more on livestream content with music on the side. The reaper girl is Mori Calliope, the shark girl is Gawr Gura (they are my favs as well lol) and they are both from holomyth. The holo EN girls are the most international branch, seeing as they are from all over the world. For instance Calli is from Texas but now lives in Japan, kiara (the dirty orange girl) is from Austria, and speaks I think 4 or 5 languages fluently, and hakos baelz (the red head rat girl) is from Australia along with the brown skinned girl, tsukumo Sana. Holo EN is the only branch with girls all over the world, the other two branches all live close to each other. Also the game you kept asking about was indeed VR chat, the girls commissioned those models and the room for their 1 year anniversary in lieu of a 3D debut like the JP girls usually do. This comment is super lengthy but I hope it helps answer some questions, thanks for the video!
so basically there are two generations of hololive english, in which holo myth is the first gen, with gawr gura, amelia watson, calliope mori, ninomae ina'nis and takanashi kiara. gen 2 is called holo council, with tsukomo sana, ceres fauna, ouro kronii, nanashi mumei and hakos baelz. and there is also an odd one out who isn't a part of any of the two gens: IRyS
Ok I’m commenting partway through the video so maybe you found out, but Myth is Hololive EN gen 1, Council is Hololive EN gen 2. IRyS (the girl with horns and one purple eye, one blue eye) is kinda EN gen 1.5 since she debuted between the two groups and kinda just exists between them as a junior to Myth but a few months’ senior to Council. Hololive EN (and honestly Hololive in general) doesn’t really make a huge deal about sempai/kohai so they pretty much operate as equals.
So we have HoloMyth (Calli, Gura, Kiara, Ame) then Holo Council (Kronii, Fauna, Baelz, Sana, Mumei) and then IRyS is all on her own. She's EN as well but she is neither Myth nor Council.
holomyth = holo en gen1 holocouncil = holo en gen 2 new members of hololive are introduced in groups generally referred to as Gens each gen typically consists of 5 members. the main hololive branch the jp branch has of now 6 gens the hololive EN branch has 2 gens the hololive Indonesia aka Hololive ID has 2 gens as well. there as also two vsingers. for the jp branch its azki and for the en branch its Iris
My favourite is Gura (Shark girl), Ame the blond girl, and Calli the pink haired girl who is a Death herself. Gura (Shark girl) is great she is such a Meme lord and Gura has big history when it comes to the internet back in the days. Gura is the most subscribed VTuber on the internet. All the Hololive Girls are great
Welcome to this rabbit hole! If you wanna know more about Vtubers, you should check Morphoduction's channel, it can help you to know about each one. Also, I recomend you to react to some covers starting with Mori Calliope.
English Hololive named their Gens instead of numbering them. Gen 1 is HoloMyth Gen 2 is HoloCouncil Irys Debuted between both gens Her lore is that she's Hope and she's half Angel; half Demon and she plays both sides very well. She's also an amazing singer. You should review her debut it's interesting as heck. HoloMyth gen 1 came out and if you watch their debut's they're a little bit cringe as they didn't really have anyone to help them or come up with a plan. HoloCouncil worked with the girls of the first gen HoloMyth and they came out with their debut's playing off each other and very coordinated and came out as very professional in my opinion comparatively to gen 1's both gens and Irys have grown immensely since they debuted and are way more comfortable working with hololive numbers and production. 0
Instead of this group experience Doing a solo experience for each girl would be better Although it will take a while to catch up. So I guess doing a compilation and doing some short solo experience would be best.

Think her language is
German
Japanese
English
Don't let their title fool you tho, IRyS streams a lot of games when she's not putting out insanely good music
As for your question about where everyone's from, not everyone knows.
Actually they once had 4 Region Brands
but yeahhh for now They Just have 3 (Just for Hololive, Holostar is Male Vtuber Brand)
5:44 bingo! It’s vr chat
They just recently got legitimate 3D models too!
I love seeing new people get into hololive and you are a pretty cool dude so you got my sub
8:54 this’d be funny to see in a 3D repeat video😂 maybe with gura getting gelded😂
HoloEN Gen 1: HoloMyth
HoloEN Gen 2: HoloCouncil
Then there's HoloEN Project Hope for the music part aka vsinger. Sole member is IRyS. She's an anomaly, though. For a vsinger, she streams a lot.
Welcome in the rabbit hole :D
The deeper you go, the wilder the ride ^^
10:53 To clearity the overall structure of Hololive (and other vtuber company).
You have so much to learn! I'll have to watch some more of your content.
HoloEN 1st Gen (MYTH)
Calliope Mori (Calli) - Lives in Japan, but grew up in the southern US
Takanashi Kiara - On debut, she lived in Japan and collaborated closely with Calli (creating the very popular fan pairing of TakaMori - from TAKAnashi Kiara x Calliopi MORI).
HoloEN "Project HOPE"
IRyS - IRyS debuted alone as "Project HOPE" and is often considered something of a "Gen 1.5". She lives in Japan.
HoloEN 2nd Gen (COUNCIL)
Hakos Baelz (Bae) and Tsukumo Sana are both openly from Australia.
10:35 “oh she evil” 💀
man get this man some hololive fanart animations...
i have to channel my blackness a sec.....
you know what i mean...?
you nah what mean...?
you nah mean...?
nah mean?
bonus: hey, hey is that you!?
Yesss, we drag another down into the depths
the reaper Calli is one of my favs from en you only saw a lil glimpse of it but all of her music is really good Id highly rec checking out her songs plus if you actually want to make a vids of it they dont trip about it
As others have said, there are multiple gens in the branches of Hololive. JP the main one with . I say 8 if you count gen 0 who were debut with Sors first and then others joined over the next year. There is also gamers in between
Gen 2 and 3.
We are looking forward to when they get them as it means live concerts and more possibilities.
holo EN has two groups holo myth and Holo council
myth:
gawr gura : shark girl
Mori Calliope: reaper Rapper
Takanashi Kiara: phynix/chicken
Ninomae Ina'nis: Lovecraftian priestess/ drawing talent
Watson Amelia: tametraveling detective.
holo councel :
Ceres Fauna: mother nature
Ouro Kronii: time ( with the Ribbon)
Nanashi Mumei: embodiment of society
Hakos Baelz: chaos/ rat/ hamster
Tsukumo Sana (Graduated) : she was the embodiment of the galaxy.
What about Irys
@@huybui-ng1gs a half-demon, half-angel but she debuted mostly independently as a in-between myth and counsel
Bae is certified masta killah
I love HoloEn. I like Amelia and Cali the best. If you like FNF you should play the Hololive mod, Holofunk.
Short explanation as of 2022.
Hololive JP: 7 Gens
Hololive ID: 3 Gens
Hololive EN: 2 Gens and Project Hope
And Holostars is the male group
Welcome to the Rabbit hole! Hololive is the best community I have ever been a part of.
That wasn't Inuyasha or an anime outro, was song from Yakuza
Sheriff Calli outfit.
Oh look, Calli forgot pants... again.
I have mixed feelings about certain clip compilations because they frequently play up Kiara’s flirty/horny side, and while that’s definitely an aspect to some of her humor I feel like it ultimately makes a weird impression of her to newer fans who don’t know that she’s doing it as a bit/she’s not *that* thirsty.
somebody get this man venn diagram
Please do lol
Very cool reactions guy.
And also from the chat lol
You might like the video, Ina vs Holomyth.
it is a fantastic fan animation.
Yo epic reaction!!
You should react to the Gawr Gura experience next
I’m pretty sure someone has already told you but EN has two generations the first one is Holomyth and the second is holocouncil.
Check out the Hololive experiences by kabukibuki!!
If you like Reaper Cali check out Evil Gura as she plays any GTA or Bully. Def worth the watch
It's ironic that he forgor Mumei
so basically there are two generations of hololive english, in which holo myth is the first gen, with gawr gura, amelia watson, calliope mori, ninomae ina'nis and takanashi kiara. gen 2 is called holo council, with tsukomo sana, ceres fauna, ouro kronii, nanashi mumei and hakos baelz. and there is also an odd one out who isn't a part of any of the two gens: IRyS
If you like guru and mori, then you should demon dice and senzawa. They are very similar.
Quick answer, HoloMyth = Hololive english generation 1 (Gura(shark), Kiara(chicke...erh phoenix), Calli (rapper death), Ina (tentacle girl), Amelia (detective)). Hololive generation 1.5 : Irys (singer) Hololive Generation 2 = Holocouncil (Koroni( nice ribbon girl), Sana (sana is BIG), Fauna (nature ASMR girl),Mumei (owl girl), Hakos Bael (Chaos Rat, also known as Bae).
The pink reaper Calliope is a rapper
holomyth = holo en gen1
holocouncil = holo en gen 2
new members of hololive are introduced in groups generally referred to as Gens
each gen typically consists of 5 members.
the main hololive branch the jp branch has of now 6 gens
the hololive EN branch has 2 gens
the hololive Indonesia aka Hololive ID has 2 gens as well.
there as also two vsingers. for the jp branch its azki and for the en branch its Iris
Have you tried watching their music videos?
WELCOME TO THE RABBIT HOLE!! THERE'S NO EXIT SO YEAH.............
All the Hololive Girls are great
All of the Hololive EN girls are in their Early to Mid 20s.
Pls react to Hololive perfectly cut screams 1&2
Welcome to this rabbit hole! If you wanna know more about Vtubers, you should check Morphoduction's channel, it can help you to know about each one. Also, I recomend you to react to some covers starting with Mori Calliope.
Gura is 495 years old.
Find a Gura GTA stream, IRyS GTA stream and Mori songs.
Here's an idea brother, react to the hololive animations like Am Holo & Kai EN channel etc. Also welcome to the hololive world
you gotta go to more pub quizzes mate, that was not the flag of the UK
Amazing 👏 We love hololive
Gura always manages to cringe Gura whenever she hears her own voice work.
There are some videos like gawr gura experience 🦈
you need to react mori songs
You should react to calli song
hey past me
English Hololive named their Gens instead of numbering them.
Gen 1 is HoloMyth
Gen 2 is HoloCouncil
Irys Debuted between both gens Her lore is that she's Hope and she's half Angel; half Demon and she plays both sides very well. She's also an amazing singer. You should review her debut it's interesting as heck.
HoloMyth gen 1 came out and if you watch their debut's they're a little bit cringe as they didn't really have anyone to help them or come up with a plan.
HoloCouncil worked with the girls of the first gen HoloMyth and they came out with their debut's playing off each other and very coordinated and came out as very professional in my opinion comparatively to gen 1's
both gens and Irys have grown immensely since they debuted and are way more comfortable working with hololive numbers and production. 0
HoloMyth is Hololive EN gen 1
HoloCouncil is EN gen 2
React to Vshojo clips next please.
Just did a live reaction on twitch. 👀video coming soon.
@@DataDave Thank you.
Instead of this group experience
Doing a solo experience for each girl would be better
Although it will take a while to catch up.
So I guess doing a compilation and doing some short solo experience would be best.
Hey watch my react video where I talk over everything I'm supposed to be reacting to.
Seriously, why even bother?
You love fnf? Guess what, there's a hololive mod called Holofunk and is pretty decent, got even calli's song :P
Ммммммммммммммммиии
you really need to stop talking over the video, not only does it show you´re not paying attention but it´s really annoying too
I like that you answered like a child and then deleted your comments, very mature of you
