It's one of the most popular webtoons, i read it when I was younger and its so cute! The kdrama is awesome too, and may manwhas have their own adaptations so don't be upset

This drama is actually exactly about this. It's about the pressure of society to be beautiful. The female lead struggles excepting herself as she is, but the male leads and her friends show her that you don't have to be beautiful to be loved and to just be who you are.

To everyone saying her ugly version is just her with pimples and glasses, I want to say it's more exaggerated in the manhwa. So she has smaller eyes, mono lids, a double chin, thin eyebrows, blah blah. It's not as dramatic in the anime (simplified I guess?) but she was actually "ugly" in the series.

I love how quirky the intro is because it mirrors the quirky-ness of the main character. It's funny and cute. I just love the intro in general. The anime does look like it would do well. I hope it makes it. And I like how the intro song is not Japanese but Korean, because the series is not based in Japan. Like, I was a little annoyed when they had the language of Solo Leveling in Japanese when the series was not actually in Japan. No shade of the anime, just saying. The anime is still fire. But overall, the intro gives out a promising future of the anime adaption of True Beauty. It's looks great.

This looks really cute! But I also just feel like we don’t need more true beauty…idk. The life action series was really good imo. Better than the Webtoon, even. It was so well acted, and it ended on the perfect note. It did have its flaws in its portrayal and treatment of Seo Jun, but overall I thought that every character’s storyline was interesting and satisfying to watch unfold. But we have kind of run this story into the ground by now. I’m not sure I’ll be watching this, just because I’ve seen and read this same story so many times before, just in different fonts lol

I love this but why doesn’t she look like she did in the webtoon with no makeup 😭 like she still has fair skin and double eyelids and light eye contacts and neat brows so I’m missing the point-
I dont understand why some people are annoyed, some people get bullied on looking ugly with features shown e.g acne
This looks really cute! But I also just feel like we don’t need more true beauty…idk. The life action series was really good imo. Better than the Webtoon, even. It was so well acted, and it ended on the perfect note. It did have its flaws in its portrayal and treatment of Seo Jun, but overall I thought that every character’s storyline was interesting and satisfying to watch unfold. But we have kind of run this story into the ground by now. I’m not sure I’ll be watching this, just because I’ve seen and read this same story so many times before, just in different fonts lol
