Todah Rabah Rabbi ! The more I listen and learn the more I realise how deep and full of wisdom Judaism is ✡️
Thanks Rabbi, I as a Moroccan born to a muslim family and I was fascinated by some evangelists I even got bible because of you I am now believing in the old testament and very cautious about the so called new testament. I can t move from monotheism to idolatry
Which Bible did you purchase
@Barbaracollins5668 I have french version King James
I have Arabic version Van Dyke translation
@ This is simply false. The messiah WILL be a man - not a god. Jesus met only one of those requirements. Jews do not worship a man-god - that is idolatry. If you want to know what Judaism teaches, then look to Jewish sources - not Christian ones. They are deceptive and twist scripture to make it look as though Jesus was the messiah.
The Christian Bible you have purchased is one of the worst in terms of how they have mangled scripture to suit their Christocentric narrative. If you want to know what G-d or his prophets said - go to the original source....which can also be found in an English translation...but it is far better in Hebrew.
@@LoveIsGood-f1jthe King James Version is the New Testament Bible l believe. What you need to buy and learn is the Torah, l believe Artscroll Torah is a very good one to own.

It's so nice to see you comment on almost every video of R' Singer. You're a familiar "face" for me. May Hashem bless you :)
"Why did god create Mormons, so Christians know how Jews feel" wow!! So profound and accurate! Rabbi says mind blowing things in such a casual and sense of humor way. ❤😅
How do Jews feel?
@miYAH-w1qTo some it might seem stupid to mispronounce the name of a person you think was the supposed messiah.
Love your work, bless you ❤
I feel excited whenever I receive a notification for a new video from my favorite Rabbi Singer. 🙂❤️

@@hanialhalaluyahuah222 No graven images. All idols are man made objects. In fact, God is so clear about this he says, "And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it." -- Exodus 20:25. So the LORD is very clear that "man made" things should not be worshiped, nor used to worship him. Only things that "GOD MADE" can be worshiped, and used to worship him...hence build with stone that is found laying about that man did not shape and fashion...etc..

Great interview!
I love you my rabbi ❤ be blessed
Rabbi Tovi one thing I love is that throughout your videos and your beliefs you always state that you love our christian brothers and sisters. Despite our differences we should love one another and you display that.
"Paul was clueless."
Thank you Rabbi.
If Paul was clueless why did our Heavenly Father kick out the House of Judah the second time???
@@asage6223 That doesn't make Paul less of a hateful, disgusting person who distorted the Tanach and Torah.
@@srachana-p7e If Paul according to you distorted the Tanach and Torah. Can you please explain to me why the Jews that are in the land today is breaking the Tanach and Torah??? According to the Torah the 12 Tribes of Israel made a covenant with the Holy One of Israel and Moses being the Mediator. Ezra and the House of Judah after returning from the Babylonian captivity reinstituted the Covenant. To my understanding the Rabbi and the people in the Promise Land for what reason they may provided haven't reinstituted the Covenant after they return to the land. Which Covenant are they under right now???
Ex pastors need to speak to present pastors to have them leave the church and bring their members with them.
Bring them where? This ex pastor doesn't believe in the God of Israel either.
I watched it earlier on deconstruction zone and you guys have great chemistry! I could literally listen to these guys discuss scripture all day. Justin is complimentary to tovia's vast knowledge and articulate charming language . I would like to see anybody debate these two I mean you could put any of the top two apologists or New testament scholars against these guys together I think they'd be completely unstoppable. This is one of my all-time favorite Isaiah 53 videos such crisp and articulate meaning so easy to understand how could anybody not get this. Thank you Rabbi!
"tovia's vast knowledge and articulate CHARMING language" Deuteronomy 18:11 וחבר חבר ושׁאל אוב וידעני ודרשׁ אל־המתים׃....and for Justin.....KJV Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. I pray, in the Spirit of God, desiring mercy not judgment, that you two repent of THE SIN, that is unforgiveable!
@@Amos37-i4 I'm sorry but the New testament contradicts the Old testament and since Jesus didn't fulfill a single prophecy then the words you were saying are meaningless they're just words written down by people trying to get power and social control by creating a church.
@Amos37-i4 KJV 😂
Was curious what is destruction zone?
@Barbaracollins5668 deconstruction zone is Justin's channel. Justin is an atheist who started off as a pastor's son and went to seminary school Bible college and knows Hebrew and Greek. On his channel I think it's 3 days a week he debates people on Christianity mostly but sometimes being Muslim. It's super entertaining and never disappoints , The cognitive dissonance is on display for everyone to see and debate after debate he walks Christians into the same scriptures that none of them have actually read and then when he reads them and they hear the meaning they deny it and say the definition of words don't mean what the word supposed to mean it's pretty great.
Great scripture evidence again 👏 it's all what the almighty says not your opinion thank you again rabbi may the almighty God of Israel bless you and all who help with your work
What nations would be surprised about JC? Christianity is the largest religion in the world, JC wouldn’t shock the nations, realizing Israel was and is the Servant will! “All the world will be BLESSED through you”. Israel - Genesis 12:2-3.
Isaiah 52-53. The nations report and they are shocked realizing who the servant of G-D is…., ISREAL, who the world persecuted for centuries!
The world persecuted Israel? This is exegeration!
Yes, that is true and that is what makes JC the least likely person to be able to fulfill Is 52-53, because he will be the least likely to shock the nations.
@ exactly! 2.38 billion christians and christian nations expect JC. No surprise to them or the whole world. So why would nations leaders be surprised as stated in Isaiah 53?!

I think the Jews were suffering way before rejecting Jesus.
Of course, they were under various oppressive governments, had been dispersed...it's the story of the Middle East. It happened to most tribal groups in the area...
When people stop pretending, acting and going-along-with-the-motions, then the christian arguments become oblivious and clearly obvious as fake.
Blessed be The God of Jewish Faith Hashem ✡️.
@@matpieterse3287 Christians could not have started the suffering servant argument in Isaiah 53, but it's a Jewish interpretation closer to biblical times.
@@Liability-n6d No - that's how they INTERPRET it...There are four Suffering Servant Songs - the message doesn't START in Isaiah 53, but Isaiah 41 and continues past 53. Christians read one verse and this "that is the message"...The Jewish interpretation is that, based on not only those verses, is that the Suffering Servant is the Nation of Israel (Am Israel).
Shbbat Nachamu.
Shalom. Gracias amigos.
Peace be upon you Rabbi I'm a Muslim i like you that you have a knowledge of your book than Christian
Shalom Rabbi Singer! An induced, deeper form of psychosis presents itself in an amiable manner. Christianity lures you through temptation. If you believe in Jesus Christ (Pbuh), all your sins are forgiven (other than blasphemy against the holy spirit) and you will acquire salvation. Christianity allows you to guarantee your afterlife while you are still alive. This perspective is antithetical to the "Torah" because it takes "Hashem" out of the picture. Shavua tov!
I’m not sure what you are trying to say, but if God is the only one who can grant salvation how exactly does belief in Jesus achieve salvation for the person duped into believing in him.
On the contrary, as you correctly say, belief in something which is blasphemous cannot in anyway be good, it will cause God’s wrath or at least his pity to fall on those who unfortunately choose to belief in this fallacy and foolishness.
Oh Lord. I bet these people are really gonna loose their minds seeing Justin on here. 😂

No one ever speaks about verse 7. The one verse that debunks Isaiah 53 talks about Jesus. The one verse of Isaiah 53 Jesus did not fulfill even unto the cross. If this was a prophecy about Jesus then it failed.
I like verse 7. Is this verse 7 where the servant is afflicted because in verse 11 he is the redeemer of HaShem’s people? Is He the same redeemer from Isaiah 41:14 that is together with Adonai, that in verse 21 comes from the north to to preach the gospel of good news in v27 because Adonai saw in the Earth that no one had any good works v28. So Isaiah 42:13 HaShem himself comes as a man to do war? What war? The war from Isaiah 63:8-10 that HaShem avenu says He alone is the redeemer, but it is actually the Angel of His presence that is the redeemer servant that comes to save Israel the other servant that rejects the Holy redeemer ? And when Israel rejects the Holy redeemer they actually reject the Holy Spirit? So the Holy redeemer turns to fight against the servant Israel as says v10. Is this Holy redeemer that gets afflicted in Isaiah 63:8 the same redeemer in Isaiah 53:7 that also gets afflicted? Why the same words in both chapters? Why does Israel reject this Holy redeemer? In Isaiah 65:5 why does HaShem say about this people that say this to Him: “5Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. “ and same chapter 65:1-5 isn’t HaShem that says this people reject Him? Have you considered reading these scriptures? Have you or Tovia ever read any of Isaiah ? Doesn’t Isaiah 1:3 say “The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.” Doesn’t Isaiah 25:9-11 fulfill Abraham’s promise in Genesis 22:14 that Adonai would himself be seen on mount Moriah? Then in Isaiah 25:9-11 doesn’t it say that Israel will Look at God Adonai in that mountain Moriah “this is our God whom we have been waiting for”? When in v11 He spreads his hands on that mountain as a swimmer spreads His hand? And in v8-10 that in that mountain he will take sin away and redeem the world conquering death ? Where death is swallowed up on victory? Isn’t Tovia an elder like those described by HaShem in Isaiah 9:15 "The elder and honored man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail." And all the young men that follow them in between? So, you are telling me I should obey Tovia singer more than HaShem and do bar mitzvah? Does anyone that follows Tovia singer ever read the Tanak? Doesn’t Isaiah 42 say the true Servant is full of the Holy Spirit v1 and is deaf and blind v19 in his ministry and v24 that Jacob and Israel reject him? Isn’t every chapter in Isaiah about Jacob and Israel rejecting this Holy Redeemer from Isaiah 63 who is clearly identified as the Savior v8 with the Father and the Holy Spirit verses 8-11? Why three Saviors who are called one Savior? What does God mean by this if you know? ❤❤❤
@WordLogos you wrote too much and missed the point. Verse 7 says he did not open his mouth in front of his oppressors and those that afflicted him. Blatant lie considering he did not know how to keep his mouth shut from the moment he was arrested all the way to the cross.
@ you say that because you missed the point of verse 7 from HaShem like all the verses I put is not what I wrote but rather what HaShem has written in all of Isaiah. You misunderstood verse seven because Isaiah says in 53:1-2 that you don’t believe his report and that in order to believe it must be by His revelation. Then you will see who this arm of the Lord in v2 is that was born out of dry ground which the ancient sages of Judaism all explain is about the birth of the Messiah. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I love verse 7.
@WordLogos still.missed it... I call that blind faith. Seeing things where they are not. If all christianity has is Isaiah 53 then they are doomed
@ that’s why I gave you almost many chapters from Isaiah which you will not read. All of Isaiah agrees with Isaiah 53, in that HaShem says all over Isaiah that Jacob and Israel will reject His Holy Redeemer Isaiah 63:8 who is the one who was afflicted by the rejection Israel gave Him which in so doing they rejected the Father, the Holy redeemer and HaShem’s Holy Spirit. Isiah 63:8-11. you missed it because you did not read Isaiah from beginning to end. The Tanak says the same thing from Genesis 1:1 till Chronicles. Want me to give you what the ancient sages say about Genesis 1:1-2 and whose Spirit did they say was hovering over the waters? Do you know? Have you read? Or you willing missed those scriptures too?
Who is Justin and how do we find him online? Thank you for sharing.
How do Christian theologians, and biblical scholars not see the true meaning of Isaiah 53?
Frankly, they have blinders on...they are so soaked in a Christocentric view of the Bible (and what their pastors tell them) that they can't see the truth.
8Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
9Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
rabbi: please take on some understudies. a few apprentices that will carry your torch through the world as well.
If Isaiah 53 were about Jesus, it would change nothing from the Judaism perspective. Judaism begins and ends with Moses.
Judaism has the T-N-K Torah Neviim Ketuvim. The Jewish Scriptures do not end with the Five Books of Moses.
Are you confusing the Jews with the Samaritans?
@@stephenfisher3721 You are a dilettante if you think all the prophets are equally important. Moses is the ultimate and supreme prophet for all time. Judaism begins and ends with him in a very real way.

Have you studied the Dead Sea Scrolls? I enjoy archeology. And really enjoy reading the holy scriptures. I thought it was hard defending my faith with Christians.
There is a very large number of videos where he speaks about the dead sea scrolls. Watch more of his videos
@goldengun9970 I have seen some of his videos he claimed them to be the same yet there are variations between the different Scrolls found in the qumran caves. Which leads me to many questions.justsaying
Yes, we ask Gd to forgive us. If He does, or not, depends upon what He knows. And He knows all. He knows all of our thoughts, circumstances, and how genuine we are in our desire to repent and stop doing wrongs. So, yes, we can make attempts. And this is good. However, we cannot heal those we’ve hurt. We can’t change the past, nor can we entirely make amends on our own. Do you think this is false? Think about those relationships you might have where there is no way to cross that bridge and to embrace once more.
Jesus Christ is the ram in the thicket. He was the sacrificial lamb without blemish. He did what He did because He was the only One that could heal all that we cannot. Deny Him today as you will, but it is only because you fail to understand the plan of Gd which was set in place from the beginning. Today will end, but the day will come when you will acknowledge Him.
And to the former pastor let him hear that Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords. The Alpha and Omega and the great I Am.
Dear Rabbi, I can't help but notice you looking either Sad or really tired lately.. are you doing okay?
I wish you well , Rabbi!
He is mourning his father Z"L who died last month and he is keeping up a brutal schedule working for the people of Israel.
@srachana-p7e Wow... Thanks for explaining! And as for the Rabbi, my condolensces but allow yourself to rest a little!
Love (in the sense of caritas) is never totally separated from sacrifice. it is like this also in God and it was like this also at the beginning of creation. is it written that God rested on the seventh day?
@francescostrina5734 Yes, He rested from the initial act of Creation: Genesis 2:2 "And on the seventh day G-d finished His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made." He then continued after the 7th day.
Looks like he’ll still be waiting on a messiah that already came then 🤷🏻♂️.
Judaism has its own Messianic requirements.
@ 6000 years is far gone. Descendant of David? Who had was the perfect rabbi of Gods law? Human Birth to a virgin ? Able to rule the world ? Doesn’t everyone know his name? Who can speak bad about him ? Who will return and bring peace ? Great political leader ? Not only for Jews but for the gentiles?
@njmora9619
Well, you have the wrong guy. The virgin birth has been thoroughly debunked for a very long time. Mark and John don't even mention it.
Example of fabrication: Matthew 2:23
"He came to a town called Nazareth and lived there. Then what had been spoken by the prophets was fulfilled, that Jesus would be called a Nazarene."
Only a slight problem - the words "Nazareth" and "Nazarene" do not occur in the OT used by Christians. "What had been spoken by the prophets" - doesn't exist. That prophecy is no where to be found. Matthew lied. Period.
Christians also translated "alma" (a young woman) as "virgin"...and that's just one example. They also changed verb tenses in Isaiah 9:5-6 ("For a child [will be born]..(NAS)" vs the Tanach which is past tense ("For a child [has been born]..." to make it look like it is present tense, rather than past. That verse actually refers to King Hezekiah - not Jesus. You have to read more than one cherry-picked verse.
Christians have thoroughly mangled our scriptures trying to deceive people into thinking that Jesus was the messiah. He wasn't...he only met one requirement - he was Jewish. He failed on everything other point.
@@njmora9619 Keep the 7 Noahide laws and leave Jews alone.
How is this not a Messianic passage? It concerns the the future “Time of Jacob’s Trouble”, the redemption of the righteous remnant, and the future restoration of the once again destroyed Jerusalem.
Isaiah 52:7-10 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him (Elijah) who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation (יְשׁוּעָה), who says to Zion; “Your God reigns!”. Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, with their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye when the Lord brings back Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem! For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed (Go’el) Jerusalem. The Lord has made bare His holy arm (The Messiah) in the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation (יְשׁוּעָה) of our God.
The ”one who proclaims peace and brings “glad tidings of good things”…who proclaims “salvation” and says to Zion; “Your God reigns”….is the returned Elijah making straight the way who announces the Messiah.
"The Lord has made bare" = has revealed.
The ”Arm of the Lord…” = is an idiom for the Messiah.
"In the eyes of the nations" = (Zech 12:10; Rev 19:11-21)
"The Savation of our God" = יְשׁוּעָה
Just as God through Othniel (a go’el) had “redeemed” the Israelites, in the future God will use the Messiah (The Go’el) to redeem the righteous remnant….and restore Jerusalem.

how much can you completely twist and disgrace our scripture? the outstretched arm of the lord is mentioned in over 30 verses in the Tanakh, and every time it's God rescuing Israel .. "idiom for the Messiah." 😂😂 can you believe this guy
7:30 The Priests have fused the Priestly servant; There was no Christian prayer that was in submission to the identity ad deliberately and intentionally expanded secular conflicts; The relationships became entangled and objectives were placed parallel so the design fails; It is simply bad Priestly design and it shouldn't repeat;
I have no idea how we have come to these points or these moments but it leads to no resolution. The Soul wishes to escape the Covenant and the Priests made new constructions with a foreign objective; We could place ourselves into the realm as held and our Spirits had to live lest they fall into total ruin; They tried to place their unification in the Land and through this gate they intended to blind every Spirit that didn't serve their Altar or the Creation of it's God;
They are simply wrecking others in the Creation and instead of these strings being removed they reform when they really shouldn't; It's an excuse for an Ordering of Creation that has totally failed and doesn't need to repeat.
8:55 We, as a communion of Spirits do not have to forgive or repeat the Ordering of the Nation and the reflection of providence placed by it's Light; We have a right to keep, and hold, the worshippers of the Priestly Covenant away from the Inner Realms until those who worship the Sins of it's tradition, it's placements, and it's extensions have tired from the wreckage of the unrepentant destructive Altar that has brought plagues upon the vast multitude.
10:15 The "people" of "Israel" will redeem Jerusalem; The Kohen won't; The King won't; The Priests won't; Israel is _only_ cleansed through the works of the _Jewish people_, --- Know the binding of scripture as a justification of righteousness has been broken.
12:30 Right the problem is the relationship held in regards to every other Spirit and every other House of Faith; That the Servant has betrayed the "Living God" for the "Law of God" and that the rebinding by a group of individuals who have extended and proliferated conflicts for religious identities in a Priestly Covenant is refused; That god is actually cruel.
15:20 The constructed speech has resulted in adherence to an identity; The Priests have used these manifestations of experience to guide people into a spiritual adherence that expands secular conflicts.
16:15 It's placing a trust in a relationship of a "Servant" It's the most Faithful thing to do in support of the identity of Israel - It's a reflection of support that has led to the collapse and ruin of countless Nations as the "Servant" expands the "objectives" of it's "Religious Egoisms" and refuses the "Priestly Purpose" of the "Servant" of "Protecting all Others"
The Priests have no understanding; They have also misused this support in an attempt to justify an alignment of Priestly Power and Favor in relationships to others through ritual adherence and prayer that has become destructive; The Priests attempted to rebind Spirit in expansions of constructions that were abusive and for these reasons we, the remainder, to preserve the unruined cloth, are trying to surpass the identity of the Priestly House in authority. It must never bind as acting authority again; The Paradigm for the Priesthood built on the "Suffering Servant" intently rewards the Holders of Power for expanding destructions in realms.
19:00 I do not think humanity, or the communion of Spirits gain from the binding beneath the arrogant Servant; I think the identity is in conflict with too many actors to serve as Parent, Overseer, Guardian, or "High Watch"; The identity is intently entered into strife and the reflections of Light are to deal with the subjugations of curses and plagues the entity brought upon the communion of Spirits through it's rebinding of subjective judgements; The constructed realm is structurally destroyed and the minds of Priests collapsed the economic structure leading to further ruin in the communal mind as experienced and bound to meaning within the realm.
19:25 The total Priestly Understanding surpasses the "High Road" of Hashem and his Judges; The understandings held by Spirits outside of the "Monotheistic Play of Judaism" exceeds, and contains reflections of justifications as to easily break the Law of Hashem as a Lawyer dismisses a legal case for a thousand faults in the construction of said case.
19:30 Right, an "Innocent Priest" had to carve the narrative of innocence; As a Lawyer from outside; The binding of Torah as Spiritual Law is not just refused, it makes excuses for constructions within realms, and communions of spirits, that are intentionally abusive of others.

This chapter is very important as you know, so every vid you release about it should provide plenty analysis so that kristians will not have any doubt regarding the jewish interpretation.
The chapter is not very important. The Pentateuch is very important. Every single commandment in Judaism has a source in the Pentateuch.

Modern Judaism changed its theology in response to the Church.
Source and proof?
@ first lets start with your tanakh. Moses and Isaiah teach the Trinity. Genesis 1:26, Isaiah 42, Isaiah 48:16. Yet modern judaism changed this understanding to mean triniatrianism to unitarinism. But these verses make no sense in a unitarian mindset. And the theophanies as well.
@@Yoboyjay2001 First premise wrong, Moses and Isaiah did NOT "teach the Trinity". That is your Christocentric lens at work.
"Elohim" is a plural but can also be a singular. You can tell this because it is most often used with a singular tense verb. It is a Hebrew noun-verb construct. So - this is a misinterpretation.
Just reviewed Isaiah 42, which is one of the Suffering Servant songs that refers to the nation of Israel. What verse are you specifically referring to?
Isaiah 48 also holds zero reference to a Trinity. But, I will share this Isaiah verse with you.
Isaiah 43:10-11
"Ye are My witnesses, saith the Lord,
And My servant whom I have chosen;
That ye may know and believe Me, and understand
That I am He;
Before Me there was no God formed,
Neither shall any be after Me.
I, even I, am the Lord;
And beside Me there is no Saviour."
@@Yoboyjay2001 So - there was no big change from triniatarianism to unitarianism in the Tanach. Just your misunderstanding of how nouns and verbs are used in Hebrew.
@ Genesis 1:26 God said “Let US make man in OUR image” who’s us? Isaiah 42:1 I, Elect One, My Spirit.
Isaiah 48:16 LORD God, His Spirit, Me

You just gave us a mistranslation of isaiah 9. Says a child WAS born. And the only title the baby gets is prince of peace.
Wrong translation of Isaiah 9:5 (version?). The Christian translators changed the verb tense from past tense to fit their Christocentric view. Original Hebrew to pay attention to is in brackets.
The original verse in the Hebrew Tanach is:
"For a child [has been born] to us, a son given to us, and authority [was placed] upon his shoulders and his name [was called] "Wondrous Adviser...." This is a bad translation...the person referred to here is King Hezekiah, you need to read the following verse - not just take one out of context to understand the meaning.
Wait a second
Isaiah 53 says, He Himself bore the sins of many and interceded for the transgressors. If you are telling me Isreal the nation intercedes in any fashion outside of Christ, then you're dreaming.
Jesus was not the christ/messiah as evidenced by his teaching contrary to the Torah. Even if Isaiah is referencing the messiah, he is not referencing Jesus.
If you really care, read a correctly translated Tanach.
Read Tanach not a Christian OT. Words changed
You didn't watch the whole video
you are sadly clueless about Judaism and the Jews. They do pray for the nations every single day! If you think your JC did so, means you are unfortunately willingly ignorant, because according to the NT, he says anyone who does not believe in him or "confess" him before the Father will be rejected by the Father, in other words, be sent to hell for eternity. Very loving indeed!
But to even think there was a JC to say these things is incorrect altogether, as JC is a made up character based on a Jewish man, the Zealot leader, and Flavius. Then was painted with Jewish colors and presented to the world as a god!
As DrD2You said - And don't read just one chapter or verse - in this case, read Isaiah 41 - past 53. Taking one verse out of context is a good way to miss the real meaning.
Accordingly to the rabbi, everything in the New Testament is wrong, but everything in the Torah[Old Testament]is perfect!! Something is very wrong.
Old Testament is a Christian book, different from Tanakh
@miriam8026 Torah, Tanakh, Hebrew Bible. What makes everything perfect and the New Testament in error from the beginning to the end, according to the Rabbi.
@@kingsman8475 The 5 books of Moses is the Torah. The Old Testament is a Christian version of the Tanakh, and it has those important (for Christians) verses about virgin birth and ''whom they have pierced'' etc. (not be found in Tanakh) The name Old Testament affirms that there is something else too, a new version. Even the order of the books in Old Testament is different from Tanakh: the last book in OT is Malachi, you turn the page and there he is what Malachi prophesied. The last book of Tanakh is 2. Chronicles
@@kingsman8475 The NT is a book concocted by the Bishops of Rome, by the mouths of the Jesuits of today! They are very proud of the fact that the RCC wrote the Bible and they include the "OT". They are correct because they translated the Tanakh into Greek, inserting their mistranslations and invented Hebrew words and adding the NT. They call this the "Textus Receptus".
You ask the question "What makes everything perfect and the NT in error from the beginning to end, according to the Rabbi?"
Well, the NT has to include some truth in order to deceive. But as a whole, it opposes the Tanakh and opposes HaShem's own words. That alone makes it false!
Simple
The Christian scriptures acknowledge the Tenach
Which means if the Christian scriptures misquote from the Tenach or contradict the Tenach in anyway then the Christian scriptures are false.
End of
When Isiah 53 is quoted in the New Testament, 12 times, by Paul, Peter, John, Matthew, and Luke (but not Mark), what they quote is the Septuagint, for the simple reason that the Tanakh didn't exist at the time. The Sadducees rejected everything but the Torah, and there was no agreement amongst the Pharisees as to which books should actually be a part of the Tanakh. Now, we know about the differences between "The Great Isiah Scroll" of Qumran and the Masoretic text of a millennium later. There are some and they alter the meaning of the text. This is reflected in the Septuagint that was translated at the time of the "Great Scroll" and is generally closer to it and to other books from this period. The primary differences in Isiah are in wording that pertain to "suffering." Whereas the Masoretic text talks about "crushing" or "bruising," the Septuagint talks about "cleansing" or "purification." It is a scholarly opinion that the Septuagint aligns better with the idea of the "suffering Messiah" whereas the Masoretic text is clearly about the "suffering nation."
Generally, quite apart from this example, when commenting about accuracies or otherwise of Old Testament citations in the New Testament, one should refer to the Septuagint, not to the Masoretic text, because this was what the New Testament authors worked with.
Sources or your .02?
The Septuigant that was forcefully translated by 70 rabbis was only of the first 5 books of moses, didnt include any of the prophets such as Isaiah.
The rest of the septuigants simply hijacked the name and were by anonymous authors, under sole authority of whoever managed them, ripe for corruption. And we dont even have the original (5 book) one.
@DrD2You ? All texts are in the public domain. You can read "The Great Isiah" and the Septuagint yourself online.
@@zdzislawmeglicki2262 These are your own opinions, then. Thank you.
@@trashtrash18 By Septuagint today we understand not only the Torah translation that was done first but all the other books that were translated within a century following, including the Maccabeans which didn't make it into the Masoretic canon-I don't know why, after all, Hanukah is widely celebrated. A comparison between the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Septuagint shows us that the translation was very good indeed, all of it. There are actually fragments of the Septuagint amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Greek texts were highly regarded by the Qumran Community.
If Christianity is true, then Jesus is the true Israel, a remnant of one.
Jesus sinned. His worst and most frequent sin was teaching contrary to the Torah.
Big if!
@@jackshadow325there were other Rabbis writing and teaching at the same time, and they disagreed with your Jesus. The Jews of today, European, African, Chinese, or middle eastern, accept the teachings of those other rabbis (also living during the temple times, and understanding better than you).
@ Yes, there were many different teachings in the 1st century. Yes, people often disagree. And you are correct -- I do not understand those teachings as well as anyone living then.
@ It is a big if. But if anyone is flabbergasted as to how Christians see Jesus in Isaiah 53, an explanation is that Christians believe Jesus IS Israel.
That's really not true, regarding it all being about Jesus. Noah's ark is HUGE, for Christian children, too. The prodigal son comes up, a lot. I even remember Hope Lutheran covering Esther saving her people, I think, & Ruth's devotion to Naomi (probably for Mother's Day). The one that I had never heard while growing up, which sort of surprised me, was of the 3 servants, each given some gold, I think, & only one invested it. I guess that one surprised me, because we hear so much about it being easier for a camel to get through the eye of the needle, than for a rich man to get through heaven.
Some people say the camel had to be unloaded, as a rich man must give away his wealth, before passing through the eye of the needle.
While I understand what you are saying, any Xtian church has to focus on Jesus. My former faith read a short passage from Tanach and we sang a Psalm, but we always had a long passage from one of the “gospels” and from at least one of the Epistles. In addition, we had communion every time, which is 100% Jesus.
I see the servants story like this: it's not about investing per se but doing something with what you were given and not shrink in fear
Isaiah 52: 13 to isaiah 53 is about a person not israel. Christians please pray and let the Holy spirit reveal scripture to you. Search other sources, Rabii Tovia is wrong. If you turn back from christ and step on the blood of Jesus, there is no other sacrifice.
Torah forbids human sacrifice.
Wrong. The prophet tells you it's the nation of Israel
@Deconstruction_Zone the passage is about a person. It is the stone the builders rejected which becomes the cornerstone. You guys disturbed moses in the wilderness, the priesthood of Aaron was questioned and you reject Jesus as a result the temple is destroyed in AD 70 and you still don't believe? It is very disturbing. No one can be that stubborn
@ It's not about being "stubborn" - it's about using the minds that G-d gave us and expects us to use. We study, learn, pray 3x a day, and keep a close connection with our covenanted G-d. We think critically and discuss why something is true or not. HaShem loves and looks after our connection with Him. Why would we exchange that relationship for a mess of pottage?
@srachana-p7e Why then was the temple destroyed in AD70?. Why has the nation always gone to exile. Why has God himself testified that the nation is stiff necked? Why did God want to destroy the nation in the wilderness?. Why is Jerusalem trampled by Gentiles? Why? Why. It cannot be that God is unfaithful to his words far from it. It is because of the nation's stubbornness.
There's many Rabbis who recognize that Isaiah 53 is about the Messiah, Tovia Singer subscribes to a literalist interpretation of the text and so he misinforms Christians about Jewish exegesis. This reading of Isaiah 53 is actually quite disconnected from Jewish commentary.
There’s Jesus followers who believe they’re literally drinking Jesus blood and eating his flesh during the Eucharist . Does that mean their belief is true?
No there isn't many rabbis that think isaiah 53 is about the messiah. And zero rabbis who think jesus is the messiah.
Well, if they ARE a rabbi and believe that about Isaiah 53, they are not Jewish or Jewish rabbis. They are fake rabbis (probably "Messianic") if the first place. You can't be a Jew and believe in a man-god. That is idolatry.
You can confess that Jesus is Lord now and be saved, or you can confess that Jesus is Lord when you stand before Him on the day of judgement. One thing is for sure, you WILL confess that Jesus is Lord.
takes so long, people don't believe that nonsense anymore.
