    I'm thinking that heat has a major factor with the belt drive and the belt tensioner just my thought why not get more air flow to the belt drive and also add some high temp grease on the swing arm tensioner or a couple of high temp oil on the swing arm tensioner pivot point bearing. Now by getting more air flow in that area everything should run smooth just a thought thats what I'm going to do before flying my airwolf v2 belt drive before my first flight a air scoop for cooling may work well just a thought because when anything heats up thats when damage happens

    Thanks very good info and thanks for the stl for the anti rotation I'm just gonna convert to gear drive I too got rid of 3d in luof atti mode

    I've only had two incidents once on take off she rolled over the grass was to tall second was switching from gps to atti after changing the setting it just fell about 5 meters again into taller grass only damage was striped belt I've since removed it from aw body and went over it all she flies great and I'm hoping longer with your modification I had to change the tail on mine it was just too loud now I barely hear it before it was like an invisible drone was chasing it

      Changing from GPS to ATTi will not make it drop. Are you sure it was ATTI (1400) ?

      @Mikes-tuts-rev yes I switched from gps to atti and down she whent similar to some that crashed switching between gps and 3d
      I've since then flown but only gps just to confirm it still can atti works too I just take off In that mode

    Mike, there was a 3d file for an exterior frame mounted pulley that mounted so that it guides the belt past the sharp corners of the frame ( I have them on mine), they have a small little pulley on them I think the same one as the factory tensioner It put a slight bit of added tension on the belt, one went on each side. If it were me, and I will do this later, to definitely go with the gear drive. Thanks so much for all you do.

      I was thinking about some form
      Of upgraded fabricated system to help the belt from slipping. Then I also thought about the size and thickness of belt absorbing the heat on the current design. I’ve never seen how this system works I don’t own a 2.5. I bought a fw450L v3 to probably do an air wolf conversion but always interested in how mechanics work and what can be designed to make them better. Thanks again Mike for all your videos and input to make flying a less stressful experience 🙏🏼👍🏼

      I did make such a thing but it added tension on the wrong side. It was easier to just slot the frame slightly on the trailing side to give more space.. Thanks for watching.

    They seem to now after removing fw450 from aw fuselage seen others have that issue with 3d not sure what caused it anyway i plan to convert to gear drive over belt as soon as they parts get here I'm soooo temped to build this out as the anduril ghost drone helicopter as it is almost their now take off the canopy add outrigger legs and a gimble cam and battery box done

    Great video and informative. Thanks. Where does one get those custom painted rotor blades? Did you create them yourself?

    • @Mikes-tuts-rev
      @Mikes-tuts-rev  2 дня назад

      Yeah just painted them with hardware spraycans

    Great vide as usual and very helpfull for us beginners. Is there some Lipo-checker that also work with some light signals? It would be nice to connetc it to some additional flashin externa LED´s so that it would be integrated with the looks of a real Bell 206.

      Although a nice idea, I think keeping it simple is key.

    What about lubrication? I guess there should be grease on bearings and main shaft where the swash plate moves up and down

      @blykula good point. I recon that would form part of the yearly teardown? Well spotted ommission, thanks.

    I've seen people flying with a tx16s radio. Would you know how to do that ?

      @Mikes-tuts-rev  2 дня назад

      HI, I dont have a TX16 so cannot comment on that. In essence though, if you follow my radio setup video, you should be able to follow. regards
