Thanks this helped me a shit ton. I suck at reading schematics. I have the EMG H4 passive and Iwanted to bypassed the buss and the tone . This helped me get the right idea . Thank you .
Hi, this is Amazing! Thanks for sharing. I got the same guitar about a month ago and can't wait to modify mine as well. I read that many standard pick guards do not fit HB Strat body and the only one they have in Thomann is either HSS or SSS. Can you provide more details/source of where you got the actual pick guard? Thank you so much! Awesome Job!
I couldn’t find a video anywhere that showed how to install 1 pickup, so I thought I’d give it a go 😄 I’m so glad it helped you! Thanks for watching Wes \m/
I know this is old and no one will probably reply but i got the same configuration 1 pickup 1 volume but all i get is extreme buzz, yeah sound comes out like it should but it also gives off terrible buzz, which overpowers the sound, i put copper tape shielding down to see of that helped but nothing..and apparently the pick up is fine according to the my local guitar store..
Hey, thanks for the comment. Are you using the same set up as I am? Same pickup/ solderless kit? Make sure that none of the wires are touching anything metal or each other and it should be ok 👍 The only other thing I can think that it might be, is that maybe the pickup is defective? If you have Instagram, drop me a message on there with some more detail and I’ll have a look for you 😊 Thanks Wes \m/
So, I wired exactly how you have it however my pickups (I’ve tried multiple) have no gain or distortion 😂 I’ve plugged it into two separate amps (dirty channels), the signal coming out is clean. It’s so weird! Anyone have problems like this? I even swapped out the pot. Used a different 9v, I’ve tried EMG’s, fishmans, etc. all the same results.
Thanks Harry! I’m hoping to have the full video out by the end of this week and in it I will show how I will manage the storage for it 😄 Thanks for watching Wes \m/
Hi Barry, I got it a while back now, even earlier than when I used it for this video. I think I got it from eBay. I’m sure you’ll be able to find some pretty easily 😄👍 Cheers Wes \m/
This is gonna help so much when I mod my Les Paul Junior with an EMG 57 pickup, thank you so much!!!

Nice tutorial. How are you going to manage the 9V battery storage and access panel?
Thanks Harry!

@@WesleyGuitarWebb bought from Warmoth now. Thanks again for this video I’ll be following it. Much help! 🤘
Great tutorial dude, are you installing it on the matt black HB strat?
Thanks dude! You know it 😁😁
I’m doing it in sections then I’ll upload the full video 😄
Woah I love your voice man so nice
Thanks! Very nice tutorial man
Can you do 2 pickups into one volume
I think you should be able to, I thinking there’s a few little charts online that could show you.
Is the pot 250 or 500
Since it’s an active pickup, actives use 25k pots, versus passive pickups that use either 250k, 300k, or 500k pots
doing this to my squire
Thanks for the great informative video man.
