Renaissance man, the video assist today is standard and brings actors closer to the technical crew when everyone watches a playback of a scene just shot.

    He was a wonderful genius!
When they broke up, among other cruel and mean things that Dean Martin dared to tell Jerry there was also "He wants to be a director but he wouldn't be able to manage traffic either."
Jerry answered him with the facts of a great gentleman what he was. I love you Jerry Lewis.

One only needs to listen to Lewis to realize how ludicrous Hollywood is that a man like this hasn't directed a film in decades.

This man was a damn genius and like other very smart people he lived in his own world because his mind was constantly in a creation mode! He was ahead of his time and absolutely talented! Unfortunately, people like him very often are criticized and misunderstood by "some other people" because they cannot understand them :( which I think is very sad. The thing that I find even more sad than that it is the fact that some people in this country dislike him and say terrible things about him because of his personal life or because they perceive him as arrogant or selfish or whatever the hell they think! They should instead appreciate his genius, his contributions to the film industry , his dedication to make others laugh and have a good time through his wonderful physical comedy and his talent as well as his immense contribution to help kids in need and suffering. People are so damn judgmental. They talk bad about others and believe in everything they read lol. The funny thing is that judgmental people usually are the ones who do lots of bad things themselves. The difference is that nobody knows about it!

He was a genius. He was JEW.
The "right" coupled to hate him without knowing why. They read gossip magazines (which make money by vilifying people) but don't bother to get to know who they hate better.
In Europe they hailed it because we have always been the cradle of civilization here. Americans are ALL children of European immigrants but many of them, as good ignoramuses, have forgotten it. And they forgot that Cristoforo Colombo (Italian and European) discovered America through a miscalculation. If he hadn't been wrong, the Americans were still playing Indians. If Jerry Lewis was bad I will NEVER forget a sentence ... "You can talk about love as much as you want but to me you represent only the dollar sign".
      NEVER!
I read some of your comments in Italian, are you Italian by any chance? So at least with you I can avoid using Google Translator :-))

I'm so glad the camera techniques and Jerry"s Toy was added to the collection. I had the best time learning all about how he made movies and sound effects. I was in the fifth row and it was a cozy audience.

He never invented video assit, he also has no patent for it, people wrongly assume he invented it, he didn't and he has no patent on it, that is bullshit.
the man is a self glorifying compulsive liar, even the story he gives about his first performance singing buddy can you spare a dime when he was 5, is a fabrication as the song wasn't written until jerry was 6 years old
