Great job as always guys. I just looked at the schedule for next year and it is not as tough as it looks. Every game demands our attention for a diffrent reason and we will go 12-0. Book it, go Irish!!!! Great and special team and season. Bring Coach back and ND is back.
Ton of credit to coach Rudolph. Going into the season the OL was the most concerning aspect of the team after Alt & Fisher went to the NFL and then ND lost Jagusah. ND has played a true FR (a 3* recruit, by the way) at LT all year. ND lost its starting C during the season, and Schrauth (ND’s best OL) missed considerable time. That OL against USC was sensational - they’ve come so far.
Good Show and agree with Singer on Gray. Corners left on Islands and today pressure was minimal on QB. Gray also moved from Boundary Corner to Field after BMO hurt. Kid battles and made several big plays besides final INT
Exactly bro, dude lost a few battles but won the war. People whine and cry about his play this game and act like this kid is on the field while Ben Morrison is sitting on the bench available to play. He is who they have and that’s just a fact and he’s far from being a “toast” CB
He was always the second boundary. They started with him and BMO on the outside with Jordan Clark in the slot. Tim is right. When a 3 star true freshman is keeping up and you are getting pushed 5 yards off the LOS you aren't having a good game. Great players can have bad games especially in a season where you haven't seen Wideouts like this at all
Mike is right, in addition to the pick 6, Gray also had a few amazing pass breakups. He did have 1.5 quarters of getting torched but he “reloaded” and redeemed himself.
God Bless, Christian Gray, he never gave up and when it looked like it was slipping away he FLIPPED the SCRIPT on Lincoln Riley, and daggered USC!! That USC QB was on a heater, that USC team would have put up 60 on anyone else!!💚🍀🍀
Usc has one of the best receiver groups in the country and their qb absolutely balled out. He was throwing dimes while getting knocked on his ass the whole game and his receivers were catching them. Riley had this game circled and his guys were balling
@keyodi He has some really bad losses over his 3 years. He has also accumulated a number of good wins. The bipolar swings in preparation and performance are a problem...winning a Natty or 2, and this new playoff format would get him a bit of grace for reasonable losses...but dropping games every year to BAD teams will not fly. Multiple BAD losses make people conclude he isn't the guy...like it or not, that is ND. BK won more games than anyone, and many did not think he was the guy either...turns out they were right.
Great, correction...he won a bunch of games...and started with a dumpster fire BTW. Point is...losing is bad, losing bad is worse, losing to bad teams starts a clock unless you do something to reset. Add in recruiting...where expectations are mighty even if you are winning... Maybe in year 3, there is grace for producing a playoff team in spite of suffering a loss to the worst dog in modern program history If Freeman wins the Natty, then he is the guy...until then he will have people claiming he isn't...freak losses every year says they have a point...
@TimHydecoach I get it coach...I agree. They turned a bad loss into fuel, and they deserve recognition for it. I just disagree with the OP that suddenly there are no grounds to question if MF is the guy....plenty to be optimistic about, but also plenty of things in his 3 years to question.
On a Saturday full of teams that couldn’t seal the deal on rivalry weekend, ND did just that. A touchdown favorite won and covered, what more should you expect out of them?
Christian Gray was (uncharacteristically) pretty awful all game in spite of his pick 6. Slow, out of position, moving like he's dinged up good. Hopefully it's nothing significant.
Great show fellas. Painful game to watch. While it may look like ND defense won the game, I gave the nod to the O today...sustained drives, physical at point of attack...D didn't seem to show up but for a few key plays
Like I said, just win Baby! Hopefully J-Love is ok. Dude is freak! Gray was burned at times, but came up big backed up inside the 10 yrd line. Wish we had Morrison out there, but gotta play with what we got.

Thanks for the show, guys. I think ND has done as well as they could against a talented SC team considering they didn't have Traore, Cross , Botelho, and Morrison. Backups are good but not up to the level of starters. The offense showed resiliency coming back to score after every SC score. Win and advance. Style points are over rated. Semper Fi, Tim.
I felt like the defense did not have it today but made the plays when needed at the end. Offense seemed like it could score whenever they wanted but a bit conservative at the end. Just nit picking. Great year after the NIU game.. I say ND gets the 5 seed.
This was going to be a dog fight SC no matter their record was going to fight they still have great athletes capable of making plays. What this game showed more than anything is that ND is capable of making big plays when they’re up against it and not just in blowout games. Is it ideal to give up 28 points I’m not counting the garbage at the end and big plays but they made plays when they needed to and that’s more important.
Yea, winning the conf Championship and getting a bye with a home game is crazy. I think you should get a guaranteed bye. So it may mean your 8. But I'm good with 3 win team getting 8 if they won their conf. But we already going to have to see Boise st. At 4. Which is already crazy to me. So if Texas loses sec game. They could be 2 loss team, wnd in sec, and have to go to Boise Idaho in late December. What the hell is that.
@TimHydecoach I think they just believed it would work out like in most years where it is big ten, sec, big 12, ACC and a west team. Surely you get deseserving 4 teams from that. But with the dismantling of the pac 12 and big 12. And combining the good teams into sec and big ten, your more likely to get the 3rd and 4th best teams to not get the bye.
You sometimes have to give credit where credit is due. USC threw some really nice passes into tight coverage and their players made some great catches. Punch the ticket and move on.
The 2 PI calls against Christian were absolute BS... first one the wide receiver is pulling him to the ground so he is trying to hit old bois arm off his jersey, and the second was just good coverage/hand contact that happens on every pass play in college ball... those 2 are good coverage and layer that with a number of other pass break ups... gray had a solid day going up against their #1 guy every down. Did he lose a couple reps, yes. That is going to happen against athletes that good... would have been nice if the d line could have gotten more pressure to help that out... but gray didnt have that bad a day imho
Anyone asking for MF to get an extension BEFORE seeing how he does in the playoffs should remember the BK days, or perhaps consult LSU fans for their opinion. 4 of the worst losses in program history under his belt without any signature wins against top 10 teams.
