I'm using Nokia 8.1 since last 4 years, still great experience with it.
Good things about this phone and which feel like a step in right direction :-
1. Removal of gimmicky cameras
2. Removal of Google assistant button
3. Blacked out camera bump
4. Android 12 out of the box
5. Back color/texture
I hope HMD brings similar changes to its upper segment smartphones if at all it launches any
I bought one yesterday from Dubai and checked RUclips for a fair review and here you go I found it!
A Nokia enthusiast and a AC Milan fan? You're the type of guy who's interesting to listen to.
Haha welcome aboard the one in a billion club :D
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION
Not everything you see in the unboxing section is universal. Some markets get more things inside the box than others. Check your local Nokia mobile website to know exactly what your regional variant includes in the box.
Differences between G11 plus and G11
- 50mp camera Vs 13mp
- 10 watts charging Vs 18 watts
- rear facing speaker Vs bottom
- no Google assistant button on plus
- Android 12 out of the box Vs Android 11
- No 2mp macro camera
- rear fingerprint scanner Vs inside power button
Did I forget anything? Haha.
Sim and sd slot differences ?
nokia is also made in india some models

Especially the Quality of the Wireless earbuds and connecting to other BT devices 🙏
Please, do a Nokia 5.4 android 12 review
@@marstav4640 Its the same
Nokia is known for its durability and dependability. We cannot expect high level specs in this phone. Also nokia is amongst very few manufacturers which ships in a very good quality battery. I mean, I've been using nokia 7.2 from past 2 & a half years or so.. but still it boosts in by retaining 72%+ of battery quality..❤️🤘
I updated my Nokia g10 to android 12, worst thing I ever done. constant freezing, I ended up smashing it in the wall. I don't understand why Nokia is still giving 3 gb of ram while oppo, Samsung, vivo, Motorola, Redmi are giving 4gb of ram as a bare minimum.
never will buy Nokia again, too trash, to be honest, hmd global should have let that brand go extinct instead of reviving it
@@danteerskine7678 it was your mistake for buying G10
Now Most smartphones like xiaomi are really durable as well as rich in specifications
Bro i don't know why after nokia 7.2 all nokia phones line up are not so good. For example nokia 7.2 released in i think early 2019 and they bought nokia 5.4 with same processor in late 2020 i mean what the heck after that they put media tek and unisoc processor in all their phone the last phone they add Snapdragon is nokia xr20 which is so pricey. Why they not come in Snapdragon line up on less price phone like they used to be in 2017.
@@rohanmalik2910 Yes you are right to some extent. eg: the 48 mp on a $350 samsung phone always perform better than the 48 mp on the $200 samsung phone even though both of them are using the same camera sensor . This is because they limit the performance with software to make their expensive models look better
Nice enough looking phone. Been waiting for this unbox👍
Good review, keep it up 👍
I love your desk layout in background, those Nokia legends 😭
Thank you :D
First like and comment
Love 😍
1. This should be enough for the vast majority of cell phone users out there. A simple device with what you need and not what you want!
2. Took me a ton of money and several phone models to finally realise that the selfies I take is bad only because of my homely face and not the camera quality😂
3. Wish Nokia would bring out some better mid rangers rather than all budget ones.
1. Exactly....
2. Another fellow with a homely face? Nice to meet you hahaha.
3. They might. They have an announcement for the 1st of September...
No and never. It’s display is bad and only HD. Processor is underpowered unisoc. It didn’t have UFS. No OIS in video camera. No stereo speaker. And design is pretty bad though. Only good thing is 3.5 mm jack and dedicated memory slot
If you use only as a phone - yes. If you use it as a replacement for a camera or as a mini-computer - no.
@@samantos I agree. But most people use their phone for making calls, check emails, browse the net and social media, watch movies and videos, listen to songs and podcasts and make payments ( G pay, Samsung PAY etc). Maybe a few desultory games. For this, the Nokia is more than enough.
If you want to mod your phone up, then a double or triple costly phone is recommended.
@@kcnairnair7299 lol another illiterate quote from you. Mobile gaming is booming market in our world. What about photography? Also who will watch video on ugly HD display
Im just wondering how the Unisoc T606 will hold up over the years of promised updates. Unisoc soc's have also had security vulnerabilities before. The Motorola G20 with a T700 chip had a serious security issue detected just a few months ago if I remember
Many Thanks, Nokia as you all know at one time ruled the mobile phone world!!
Not going with Android in the early days cost them dearly.
Peace From London. 🙏
eagerly waiting for 2660 flip and 5710 xa, unboxings and reviews 😁
Hi, great video. I have just one question. How do I get notification of missed calls or even a text msg on fhe front screen. Atm I have to open/unlock phone, click on thephone or the msg app to open and see if i have a msg or missed call. Obviously I do not have the settings correct but do not know how to fix it. I come from an iphone to this phone and still finding it hard to work out correct settings.
I love it,got mine a week ago
It's amusing how they adapt to minute things from the past. Speaker on the back side seems to have adapted from Lumia. Lumia 635 has it that way. Can't think of any phones recently with speakers at the back. Secondly the aspect where you can bring down notifications tab by finger print sensor. It's from Huawei. I used it in P10 Lite and it's so convenient. Would want that feature in other high mid range phones too who have side fingerprint mount.
Nice video, love the look of the device as well.Btw why haven't you reviewed the nokia laptops that has been released recently? I think that they are pretty much worth it for the money they are being offered on. Cant wait for your next video😍
Thanks! Unforunately the laptops haven't been released yet as far as I know, and they might not make it to the Middle East so will be hard for me to get them for a review.
@@AbdullaZaki oh okay well the laptops has been released here in india so I naturally thought the laptops would have been released over there as well😅sorry my bad,Btw i am such a huge fan.And hey I Would love to see your desksetup tour as well and I love the fact that you chose a Camaro as your daily driver.Your choices are way too brilliant, your reviews are one of the best there is as well,so thank you so much for all the lovely videos just keep them coming and we(your fans) will be happy😍🙂.
If the G11 Plus is available here in Philippines and if it has a cheaper price than the G21, I am definitely purchasing this. I need a replacement for my smartphone right now since I gave my 5.4 to my Father already.
It should come out cheaper than the G21
😍😍😍😍
Cool channel. A lot about Nokia. And that's great. These are underrated devices for every day. Excellent work and cheaper. These need to be talked about. Instilling a culture of reasonable taste
Thank you. Excellent points, but unfortunately because the devices aren't "exciting" they don't get a lot of fair coverage.
It's investment for future, around 12.5k in INR, you will get almost nothing but out of the box you will receive Android version 12 that's means you will receive till Android 14 and alongside you also receive quarterly security updates from Google. That's only plus point and USP too. On a whole you will buy a future ready phone, if you don't have short time plan to change your device like me. Am very much interested in buying. A big thumbs up to Nokia providing a future ready phone in great price. Thank you.
Got a Telstra single-SIM variant G11 Plus and ❤ mine.
Mine came with Android 13 out of the box.
Installed Google Gemini on my G11 Plus.

Waiting for September to begin :)
Fingers crossed for some good news :)
Your consistency and quality of content never disappoints! Just Nokia needs to improve the processor and build quality like the Lumia phones 😁😊
TOP quality content but I do not really care.
I want to see the X series or generally their mid/high tier devices!
wish they will back in Indian market with lot of mid ranger.....btw u have amazing cute cats
I hope they make a comeback in the Indian market soon.... Thank you :D
I like it. Maybe I'll buy it for my mother. I prefer this back design with the black camera isle to the ones used on the normal G11 too.
assalamualaikum bro greetings from indonesia 🇮🇩 we like your video
Thank you for your review dear Abdulla. HMD introduced this phone 45 days ago. And I think you are the first person who reviews G11 Plus detaily on RUclips. I really find this matter as an another problem. Apart of other negative sides, Hmd has no a good policies related the Nokia reviews on youtube and on social media. The products comes late after intro and only a few RUclipsrs review them.
Hi Zafer, I would love for them to be more active when it comes to review devices, but unfortunately they aren't interested in giving every device for a review. So this one for example I had to buy, like the G20, G10, X10 last year as well. Btw its something they have improved this year (they gave me the G21 and G11 for example). It also isn't a Nokia exclusive problem, as other brands also don't tend to give budget friendly devices for review units...
Good review as always, many thanks 👍 The phone itself doesn't seem any great step up from its immediate predecessors, but solid enough for everyday functions, as you say. I'm still using a Nokia 3.4 which has proved excellent, but may now upgrade to this just for the memory & battery. Thanks again.
Thanks! Yeah its not exactly an "upgrade" from the G11 in many aspects, but I'm guessing it will come out in more markets perhaps.
Can it run (with acceptable performance) a corporate setup: MS Authenticator, O365 (mainly Outlook + Teams) & Intune of course...? Cheers!
I will surely buy one nokia phone and gift it to my mother when i come back 😊 it is her favourite brand phone.
Wassup Mr Nokia, could you do an in-depth explainer for Nokia Smartphones moving to HMD Smartphones, maybe even insider takes,
hi mrNOKIA is the pixel density of g11 plus better than the nokia 5.3
Good phone
I thought the X100 had a beautiful back but THIS thing is absolutely gorgeous! Who knew that such a well blended combo of blue and purple would come out so well?
I also like the fact that they went back to solid straight lines for the body design, I know it's just a budget release so it by no means is going to be the default going forward. However It's a step in the right direction for me as I hate rounded designs with a passion(you can imagine my scorn for modern car exteriors)
I'm like you in this regard, I much prefer flat edges on modern smartphones, or round edges on a flat top and bottom, N9 style. I don't like overly round designs
@@AbdullaZaki exactly, it's not comfortable like the designers like to pretend it is

Nokia's free headsets have pretty decent sound
wondering if there is going to be an updated xr20 - or just buy it now? any thoughts anyone?
Hi Iain, its hard to know for sure, but from my conversation with the Nokia team, X devices usually have around a 1 year 3 months+ lifespan before a new one is announced. If I had to guess, I would say the XR20 replacement will either be announced near the end of the year or sometime in March next year. Since the XR20 will continue receiving updates for a while, not a bad idea to pick one up now if you can get it for a good deal. I don't believe an XR21 would be a drastic improvement anyway.
Thanks, very kind of you to reply. Think I'll just buy the xr20 now. I'm coming from always buying flagship phones, but have just got disillusioned with the whole thing surrounding them and really like what Nokia have been doing
I just bought the T20 based on your review, and it's perfect for my needs
@@iainstatham that's great to hear! I think the XR20 is a great example of balance, you'll probably like it a lot if you can get used to the weight and size

I'm looking for a battery champion phone but seems that nothing can beat my Motorola G50 (4 days and 15 hours screen on)

Still not available in the UK
Many consumers complain that the photo quality is below average. And in poor lighting conditions (twilight, night), the pictures are terrible. A fingerprint and a speaker on the back are not the best solution. Although competitors have the same.
But, for undemanding buyers it will do. (About G11. G11 Plus don't sell in our country)
You have an 5710!!!!!! Omg! I don't think they will be selling this in my country... ☹️
I will be covering it very soon :)
I got Nokia 7.2 and that uses Snapdragon 660 which seems to be neck and neck with the T606.
So I use the 7..2 like a tablet and have my Billy big boy XR20 as my phone. And for the RUclips's and web sites the 7..2 still does well. So yeah no probs with this phone.
Not available in the UK this phone so can't comment on price but if this was say £130 then yeah.
How is the 7.2 performing after all those years?
@@AbdullaZaki A thousand blessings be upon you my brother.
The 7.2 is still going strong. Bought it in January 2020 and it still works perfectly. No faults and the screen is still bright and colourful...for a LCD.
The fly in the soup was the battery life. 4 hours on screen time! Talk about battery anxiety. I had it as my phone for 10 months but it had to go. Had to carry a power bank with me at all times!
But reliability wise it works just as well as 2020. It's on Android 11 update 1 July 2022 and I would have no problem having to use it as an emergency phone for a short space of time. I use it as a mini tablet now purely for home use so the battery life is not important.
Performance wise it's very good. Still gets stuff done. No faults so top job.
Would almost recommend but the battery life is a no go.
The battery life on my XR20 is far better.
Yeap, you can tell the lack of the Zeiss lens - which sadly HMD stopped collaborating with
Even previously, devices from Nokia within this price segment didn't come with Zeiss optics..
@@AbdullaZaki the weird thing is the fact that, even the newer phones let say from 2-3 years ago from Nokia which came with Zeiss lens, the image quality was so far behind the legendary 808 Pureview
@@mm_99321 that's a bar very few modern phones can beat in good light :) sensor size is everything, but brands today focus on software to make up for it
Wish it was in the country I was at buying a phone. The country had no Nokia android phones to sell on the list. I ended up with a tecno spark 8c instead. I think it uses the same processor as this Nokia.
Hi David, where are you based? and how has your experience with the tecno spark 8c been?
@@AbdullaZaki Right now I am in Pakistan. I was using a Motorola G7 power for half of my trip. I didn't pay the taxes on so it got shut off. My wife and I went to a local phone shop to get a phone. I was shown so no name brands first. Then I asked if they had any Nokia Android phones. He said no and gave me a list of phones that are approved by the government to sell. He then showed me the Tecno spark 8c. I remember seeing some articles on GSM arena about them so I got it. It has been a great phone on battery life. I get days of use on it. The only thing is that even if you turn off the notification it still comes back on. Other than that it kinda reminds me of a older Android phone with all the speed booster and cleaning features on it. It has Android go 11 on it. It's my first Android go phone I have used.
Interesting phone. I like the large size of the screen, the 5000 mAh battery, the pre-installed screen protector and the included case, the 90Hz refresh (adaptive) rate and hey even the headphones (at least you still have them as an option). You do get value for your money Not a fan of the back mounted finger print scanner, the rear speaker, the camera “bump” and its placement and just the overall design. The Nokia G11 Plus and its brethren look too much like your average Motorola device. Now there’s nothing necessarily wrong with Motorola devices and how they look, but Nokia shouldn’t aim to copy that design.
Some said that HMD (as the original Nokia company doesn't make phones anymore) and Motorola are using the same device manufacturer as they don't make their own devices, so they're just using predefined design to keep the production cost low.
I agree. Btw some of those in box additions are region specific. I forgot to add the text :/
Nokia and Moto might be using the same ODM, but they still have plenty of creative control over components, design, materials, cost, etc. Every major manufacturer from Samsung to Xiaomi are using ODMs for themajority of their smartphones (outside of flagships..)

Kapan nih rilis di indonesia
I like it except the placement of the fingerprint scanner and the speaker 🥲
Sony-style of fps is best and the placement of speaker should be at the bottom of the chin, not at the back.
all they need to do is put a snapdragon 8 gen 1 inside a bigger version of lumia 930 or 1020 to get us buying nokia phones again but instead they are focusing on cheaper stuff where most of hardcore nokia fans need flagships
Hi Elie, unfortunately the average Nokia buyer since about 2013 is within the 200-300$ price range or lower, so whenever they tried something expensive, it didn't sell well.
I would love a flagship too...
Salam Alaykum, My G11 Plus has only 3gb ram and 32gb storage, are there different versions of the phone?
There usually is yes, depends on where you bought it from.
I want full hd + display
Nokia means durability
Why does Nokia keep making mids and budget phone, they should go big this year though
Maybe we will see something in IFA on 1/9
Feels like they addressed the issues with G11 too quickly like the scratchy camera island. HMD's been late in bringing OS upgrade but at least it's much more stable. I kinda missed that Assistant button as I remap them for screenshot key but I guess Google decided to axe the Assistant partner program as it got exposed around last year
Yup, good point. Since Android 12 can set the power button as the google assistant button now, the dedicated button became a bit useless. Thankfully you can turn that off so it doesn't bother you as well.
@@AbdullaZaki I've seen G11 Plus and T10 in local Nokia website and distributor teased T10 few days ago. Have interest with T10 but idk how it performs. T610 and T606 surprisingly have different GPUs despite identical CPUs.
Maybe you can do Geekbench 5 (single, multi, compute opencl + vulkan) and 3DMark (sling shot, sling shot extreme, wild life) against T20 when you got a review sample? I can crunch the numbers in my head so don't worry about that. Thermal characteristics in benchmarks/games would be great as well.
@@haziqsembilanlima I just got the T10, 5710 and 8210 so will be working on videos asap. Thanks for the feedback, I might do an all out comparison between the T10 and T20 later
@@AbdullaZaki Nice, will look forward for the review 😉👍
Spotted! That 5710!!
It's sad to see Nokia being a shadow of its former self.
A comeback can always be around the corner... but it would take a lot of time.
Maybe due to limited budgets Nokia could only afford screen panels with a notch. A small punch hole is a better compromise even if more expensive. Remove those useless macro and depth cameras including the earphones to save money and spend it where its needed.
What if they do a metro ui skin with android. I think that's win-win
You can get something similar with launcher 10 or square home from the play store

I would consider this if it's not possible to get another Nokia in from abroad. The selection here is really bad!
Nothing interesting in this phone. They should have gone for notification light instead of that camera ring. I am waiting for the IFA launch for something different from current design. Do you think they will change the design in sept launch event ?
Budget, reliable devices tend to be boring :)
I don't know if they will have a new design language by then but I don't think so. Anyway lets wait and see, hopefully they have a nice device or 2 announced.
We must support these non Chinese companies and our indian companies . We must ignore Chinese things as they are gaining huge profit and later from that money they are doing trust issues all over the world
Yes bro but I want to tell you something about Nokia it was Finland company but what have you been telling is right
this is meant to compete with Samsung's A series
Yup, the budget friendly A series.
Price?
I bought this in Australia from Telstra for just over A$100.
It's not an upgrade then why plus naming?
To differntiate between them. They are sold for almost exactly the same price, but I'm guessing some regions will receive this and not the G11
Where's the Zeiss logo?!😕
Nokia is no longer working with Zeiss, but either way such a device wouldn't have had a Zeiss optics camera
I used to love those low end phones few years ago but nowadays used high end phones are so damn cheap that buying these no longer makes sense to me.
That's Why G11 is not available in the Philippines only G21, maybe G11plus will!!!!

Sometimes. Its similar to the SD660 from qualcomm in terms of performance.
Why Nokia is not using metallic back like 2017 lineup Nokia3,5,6,8 so on....
The design of Camera placing they using makes them no different from other manufacturers except (for the love) the branding NOKIA
Industry wide, brands are moving away from metal on budget phones probably due to cost and availability reasons.
