Yeah why did circumstances and their relationships have to tear them apart
Cara Schofield to me it felt like for the first few episodes in season one they actually acted like best friends and then when Archie became good friends with Jughead again that friendship just sort of melted away

i kind of dislike Veronica, she gets everything she wants and uses Archie, when he barely knew her and Archie and Betty had been friends since they were 5. Anyway Archie asked to marry her when they were young.

Morgan Marsh okay, but like she didn’t even know Betty like that in the beginning, they just met. Even Betty was like she didn’t think her and Veronica were going to stay friends. And although Veronica was attracted to Archie, and literally told Betty and Kevin in the hallway, she still did try to help Betty and Archie get together when Kevin said they were “endgame”. Then obviously it wasn’t going as plan and Veronica saw it was literally only one sided and even asked Archie how he felt about Betty. It’s not Veronica’s fault that Archie thought Veronica was more attractive and that Veronica and Archie already had chemistry has we all can see in the closet scene.
No one can steal someone away.. if Archie wanted to be with Betty he would’ve been with her and chose her, he didn’t, but it isn’t Veronica’s fault.

As to the other girls, they were flings. And he basically got with Veronica cause he found her attractive. He knows Betty, grew up with her - that's love.
@@LydiaIsSweet he claimed all these women as love. Which was my point. He thought he loved all these women and when asked about Betty he would confuse his feelings for friendship. Which tells me since it was never a “lust filled” relationship he didn’t know it was love. With these other girls/women he would first be physically attracted to them THEN called it love. With Betty he loved her from the start but never knew what love was. As for Ms. Grundy yeah he was taken advantage of but he never saw it that way. He genuinely liked her and saw her as someone important to him hence why he was upset when he found out she was killed. I say all this to say Archie has loved Betty first since they were kids and he proposed.
@@eerroottaa okay, my mistake. We're on the same page then! But I don't think the Grundy relationship should be romanticised, Archie was being groomed and you can't call that love imo.

I think the reason Archie didn’t end up with Betty, was because Veronica has a confident, open personality and Archie found that attractive about her. I feel like both Betty and Archie have feelings for each other but they bury them away because they feel pressured buy their relationships ( Bughead n Varchie )

Damn I'm so confused like...first time I watched I didn't realise it so much, but Veronica knew Betty liked Archie, she even tried to help her at the beginning and then goes and kisses him the same night and later starts dating him even tho she knew.. i'm like wtf , I even shipped Varchie more first time I watched, now the more I think about it, she kinda got in the way of Betty and Archie and it's kinda messed up af..anyone else?

OMG SAME, I liked Varchie first too, then I realized how dirty she did Betty but I eventually came around to Barchie
literally the only organic and comic accurate thing in the show!! that is, if they would actually give them *scenes* and showcase _their longtime friendship_ which the writers have failed to do miserably ever since s1. such a missed opportunity.
at this point i'm terrified they'll bring them together only because "jughead's dead and veronica moved away" and that'll feel so inauthentic because betty&archie truly put each other first. things don't just happen out of nowhere, they deserve the screentime so we can really see them transition from best friend neighbours to romantic partners.

I just hope they become a thing, because in my opinion they are the only ones that can save this show of the mess it went through this last season...
I still kinda wish that they would show that relationship between Archie and Betty a little more in the fourth season... I can tell that there's feelings on both sides. And I know in the comics there was more of a love triangle between the three of them and now it just seems like there isn't one at all. I know that the show and comics don't have to be the same but usually they would try.

Mihika Lall sorry this is kind of late but it was in one of the interviews that he was doing. also in one of the recent interviews from this comic con he said after talking to roberto (the writer) he sees that there is a lot of room for barchie. also in an older interview he said they will most likely and hopefully be endgame.

To be honest, I am an absolut Jughead/Betty shipper, just because I appreciate the friendship level Archie and Betty have way too much. However, I think that Season 4 will definitely open the doors for Betty and Archie as a couple, bonding over the loss of their fathers and Jughead potentially being absent. It is kinda a bummer for me, but honestly, there is no potential couple in television world right now like Archie and Betty who have the right to get their shot. There is so much established from the beginning and even if they are not endgame in the end of the show, the writers definitly should explore this dynamic, because it is really worth it to see how these two will play out. Just hope the writers don't fuck it up lol.

I hate how little Scenes these two got together in the last seasons... more than the first half of the whole video is just season 1... that just shows that they didn't have much scenes together in the later seasons... I really hope that changes in season 4!Great video! I loved it :)

I think in season 2 Archie realized his feelings for Betty then realized it was too late and wouldn't work but you could tell by the way he looked at her and kissed her in that car
As much as I miss Betty and Archie spending time togethor and acting like best friends I look forward to seeing them togethor in the recent seasons because then it means more to me. When Betty was helping Archie out of the sewers when he was hurt and they hadnt seen eachother in a long time you could see that they still generally loved eachother in best friend terms (hopefully romantically too).
They need to get together I’m sorry but the show started with them together and it needs to end with them together.

Even KJ said he and Lili try to give some little hints in scenes between them. It's the fanservice that won't let them break up Bughead cause they know most of the fandom are Bugheads.
