Union Pacific's transcontinental Overland Route through central Nebraska was thick with coal, grain, intermodal and other freight trains, hurrying across the prairie to bring customer products to market, on April 10, 2010. These trains were pulled by UP AC4400CW, and variants C44/60AC and AC44CCTE diesels, as well as ES44AC, SD70M, SD70ACe, and SD90/43MAC units. All UP SD90/43MAC units have been retired since late 2021 or earlier. Unusual motive power included former Southern Pacific AC44s still in SP paint, a Kansas City Southern unit in KCS gray, and a brand new GO Transit MP40PH-3C passenger diesel, presumably enroute to it's new home in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Wow, so many of those SD90s. Sad that non of the originals serve on UP. At least we still have SD70ACUs, the rebuilt SD90..
I heard NS has started to sideline the SD70ACU. They got 10 years out of them, plus or minus.
