I have this camera and think I know the answer as I've yet to do this yet. Will the camera allow me to take a Still Frame Picture while I'm in the Video Recording mode? If it is in fact a No, I believe that this is the only downfall of the camera.
It does not... While taking video, there is not a function to take still pictures. We sent the concern to the tech department to see if they can integrate it into the updated modes.
