    The defence argument at the beginning made no sense at all.

    I actually find all the admissibility arguments and the judges explanations etc fascinating but I’m studying law so maybe that’s why idk. I also think she is very firm but fair and I think judges should be to keep the pure facts/arguments etc unclouded by irrelevant waffle and to help with judicial transparency, public accessibility etc I’m in the U.K. and our courts are very formal, I’m not sure on the US’s laws but I do find it fascinating

    8:25 - I find it hilarious that everyone here pronounces "polygonal rifling" correctly yet dozens of gun reviewers on youtube are unable to. They pronounce it at "poly-gone-el"

    • @nonmihiseddeo4181
      @nonmihiseddeo4181 3 года назад

      I think that's because they're putting the accent on the wrong syllable, when they're referring to the geometic shape itself. This leads to their mispronounciation of "polygonal."

      @@nonmihiseddeo4181 Agree. Also, you have a room full of attorneys vs a room full of youtubers. Now in no way am I dissing youtubers, they probably make more than the attorneys, but there is a difference in about 8 years of schooling, 3 of those years reading half latin legal terms. Again, in no way am I saying youtubers are uneducated, but the majority of the time, they do not have the same educational background as a lawyer, so I understand why something like this may happen. Also, the lawyers may be gun collectors as well lol, it is Florida.

    Don't care for this judge AT ALL!...unprofessional, cocky, rude, disrespectful...seems to struggle to actually look at the attorneys and listen...is constantly on laptop typing, writing something, etc...major ADD issues it seems!

    • @DiamondDarkSky
      @DiamondDarkSky 4 года назад +3

      Litterally spot on....though I don't think she's add I think she's just for the state. She wasn't looking at the defense during the motion, because regardless of what they say, she was going to deny it, which is so unjust. I'm not saying he's innocent but it doesn't seem like they're getting a fair trial with this judge. And then, she wants everyone else to be orderly but she can't stop herself from slamming her nails onto the keyboard during testimony. I honestly don't blame the defense in being so angry.

    • @TheBrillyx
      @TheBrillyx 4 года назад +4

      That's the impression I get as well, seems totally unapproachable and unwilling to even discuss issues or concerns either of the sides have in this trial. I understand judges can be stiff, but this one really takes it upon herself to be as snide as she can in the judicial proceedings

      @TheBrillyx 4 года назад +4

      Nor do I, she seems to be making this whole thing that much more difficult by giving attitude and sass to basic questions the attorneys have on both the defense and the prosecution. She should've stayed out of the court system and pursued a career as a stunt double for Sandra Bullock

    • @DiamondDarkSky
      @DiamondDarkSky 4 года назад +1

      @@TheBrillyx lmfaooooo Agreed, in this part of the trial though, she was worse to the defense. I would have been as angry as the defense attorney if I were trying to make an argument and the judge was acting like she can't be bothered. She's full of herself. I like Sandra Bullock, Sandra Bullock would make a much better judge even. 😂

    • @ImginaryHeroine
      @ImginaryHeroine 3 года назад +4

      @@jjeannef227 Care to explain? No one said she was confusing or hard to keep up with; they just said she's not professional. To be fair, she's not one of the better judges but is also not quite the worst. She knows the law, but she makes everything take longer when she cuts people off, argues the same point even when everyone else has moved on, glares at people, and talks down to people. She even argues about how long things take. A man's freedom is hanging on the outcome of this trial and she acts like dealing with it is irritating. She has moments where she acts like a judge and speaks with fair authority. She's decisive, intelligent, and responsive... It's just that those moments are few and far between and seem to take a lot of effort for her .So, yes... People are allowed to dislike her. If we never disliked anyone and told everyone to do whatever they wanted... Grant here would not be on trial. People are accountable for their actions. No one is envious or threatened or intellectually outmatched by Grant, right? But we can still dislike him. Arguing that people dislike someone because they are too slow or whatever is ridiculous.
