The meat inside the Coco Loco is even more amazing! I have two in the freezer that I am probably going to break into one them on Saturday evening. I am enjoying your videos, thank you for sharing on Canadian Expats For Ecuador. Moved here in July of 2021 and am really loving where we live.
Definitely not an expert 😁 but I am lucky to have Andres help me with so much of this. He's a national guide and knows exactly the things I like to do. For me food is culture and so I love spending a day just exploring what makes a country unique.
Your videos are my favorite! So helpful. You have a great personality and I love it when you eat something you like how your eyes open wide, makes me smile every time.
It makes me really happy to hear that you find them helpful. I really want to inspire people to visit Ecuador and really experience what I have been so lucky to see.
Ayngelina like the way they displayed the fruits in the boxes. The "rompe butt" banana made me laugh. I'm a fan of coconut water. Thanks for sharing. I'm all into fruits and veggies.
I love how you enjoy all the foods - even tho I am vegan/plantbased. Makes me hungry every time. Looking fwd to exploring the multitude of plant foods Ecuador has to offer.
Oh really!! Maybe try some of those small papayas. They are sweet.. That is a bummer the flavor is not pleasant to you. Hopefully sometime your taste buds change their minds and start liking papaya😁

that is how I peel the bananas too, I feel something is off when I see people peeling the bananas the other way. Also the only fruit which is new to me is the ciroella, planning to try it. I need to try coco loco too.
In August I Have a 10 de Agosto market video and I show some things that are quite different but when I come back it's a good excuse to do another fruit video as I do love them.
OK, very good with lots of information that I won't remember when I am there in a few weeks. There should be a guide on Ecuadorian fruits. I mean onn one coconut drink (coco loco?) you mention that too much can cause GI problems--but how much? Do you suffer the same effects on the coconut (buried for X months) drink? How much is in the first coconut drink? Too many questions... that is why a guide would be good.
Hahaha well a doctor would probably answer those questions better than a guide. That said, coconut giving you the runs really depends on the person. So I think one coconut water a day is fine, but some people go crazy on the beach and have like 5, which is excess consumption of potassium, and can cause the runs in some people. For the coco loco I would be more worried of getting drunk first, everything in moderation!
My dear canadian friend the big mandarine is called "KING" the green mango is a native variety called "REINA" and the "CIruela" is also called "Obo", the yellow banana that you eat are the Gros Michele variety not the one who is exported, the cavendish
Some, not all. But pesticides are expensive and so farmers try to use as little as possible. Being certified organic is too expensive for a lot of small producers but the organic producers are known.
Absolutely I'm in Quito and it's on my list. Although Ecuador doesn't really have street food the way you'd see in places like Mexico. It's much more common to go to a Hueca, which means hollow and it signifies a hole in the wall restaurant. Huecas usually serve traditional food, have cheap prices and they are judged for their aji or "hot" sauce. I say "hot" because outside the coast it is usually medium or mild. I have a video on huecas in Cuenca and include all the costs. Quito usually has a bigger street food scene but not sure what it will be like with Covid right now.
If you're looking for visa information I'm Canadian so I can't help with that. But if you're looking for Ecuador travel tips I share everything I know at BaconIsMagic.ca/Ecuador
Esas frutas no son específicamente ecuatorianas , las puedes encontrar en varios países alrededor del mundo , para no decirte que en todos , no solo en Latinoamérica 😂 o acaso no has viajado a más ningun país? 😂😂

Those fruits looked amazing. Mango is my favorite fruit. BTW. I like your blouse, it is as colorful as all that delicious fruit.
Mango is definitely top five for me too. And my blouse I'd actually a dress, which is good because it felt like 40C when we shot this!

When I buy bananas in the U.S. they don't have any seeds in them. Are they messing with fruits in America? No seeds in bananas ??????
Bananas don't have seeds we can see. They are contained within the flesh of the fruit. I had to look that one up 😂
The green mango is just a unripe mango 😅
Not all mango’s around the world turn yellow. This one stays green on the outside even when ripe.
