    Sir, is the compaction in mould should be in 5 layers with 55 blows of hammer for both heavy and light compaction of soil?

    • @SatishIITR
      @SatishIITR  8 дней назад

      Yes. Hammer will be different

    Sir how we rate the significant amount retain on 19 mm sieve...i mean how much minimum amount of soil we should replace in the size of soil partical bigger then 19mm...and sir please make a video on effective cbr

    • @SatishIITR
      @SatishIITR  10 дней назад

      Any amount above 19 mm must be replaced by the fraction passing 19 mm and retained on 4.75 mm. There is no guidance on what is the significant amount. So better to replace even if it is small proportion.
      I have already uploaded video on effective CBR. See the playlist once

    Sir,gud mrng I have one doubt why cbr at 2.5mm penetration is higher than 5mm.And also IS 2720 suggest that surcharge load should be equal to weight of pavement.how can we provide that much surcharge weight sir.kindly clarify my doubts sir

    • @SatishIITR
      @SatishIITR  9 дней назад

      CBR at 2.5 mm should ideally be higher as here we are measuring the resistance at lower penetration. The initially, resistance offered by the soil is more.
      Yes, it is not possible to estimate he correct surcharge and therefore a normal surcharge of 2.5 kg is good enough.

    Sir,how do we find what amount of compaction energy require to achieve 97% of MDD?
    Final compacted depth at 97%of MDD...HOW TO FIND WHAT AMOUNT OF COMPACTION IS REQUIRED.

    • @SatishIITR
      @SatishIITR  10 дней назад

      That you will have to do by trial and error method. Make a curve between number of blows and MDD and then choose the number of blows.

    Hello sir , how do we consider the OMC % at 97% Compaction (97% of MDD) for CBR Mould Casting and if we consider the OMC from Graph at 97% MDD , we will get two OMC , one is at dry of Optimum side and another at wet of Optimum side , which OMC we have to consider for CBR Mould casting process for 97% Compaction ????

      Sir, how to calculate effective CBR value?

    • @SatishIITR
      @SatishIITR  10 дней назад

      OMC is taken on dry side of the curve (never on wet side).
