It can't be denied her vocals during the choruses are off key, but I think the song was cool (those riffs!), and she was a charismatic performer. It seems a difficult song to pull off live, frankly.

You just want to tell them, "Dude, you're playing with a casting show candidate, you're not in Slipknot, for God's sake" 😀. All in all, there isn't much to like about this performance. The fact that her producer bought her own records didn't help either. Actually, the four points were still too much. "Run & Hide" ... she basically did that afterwards.
Yeah, this really was one of the most ridiculous examples of pop music being taken over by this pseudo-rock style in the mid-2000s. Suddenly every mediocre pop singer had pseudo-rock guitars incorporated into their songs, wore darker, more rock-oriented outfits and had a band behind them. The guys here really look so ridiculous and you can only feel sorry for them. They perform a bad, sub-Modern Talking/Ace of Base europop song yet seem to think they are doing black metal. They probably thought the whole time "What am I doing with my life, how could I sink that low?" 🤣🤣 Luckily one year later Lordi showed how to rock properly.
It is a very badly composed song. It doesn't have real verse and just a too short bridge. The song is totally focussed on this mad, brain-penetrating yodeling chorus. Only with a great singer with a real rocking voice (Alannah Miles for example) this strange song would have had a little chance.
I have watched a pre-contest interview made with her. She seemed very nervous and she repeatedly said rehearsals weren't very good. It's obvious they had some problems... Or basically, she ruined it. The only good thing with the song is well-arranged keyboard.

Totally forgot this. I kinda liked her back then and supported her in the esc. But the song just sucked ass and she had a bad evening with her voice. Damn, she was so off-Tune. Feel bad for her because she was actually a talented artist.
Yeah, I also always liked her and felt sorry for her. She really was an underrated artist with a great voice and also seemed to be a really nice, cool, down-to-earth person. Sadly the whole esc thing didn't do her any justice and killed off her career. It was overshadowed by the record-buying scandal of her manager to begin with, the song was bad, the stage performance was poor, and her voice let her down.
Like many songs, its only redeeming quality is that it ended. Eurovision songs do not go any more than 3 minutes because if this were any longer, Germany's homicide rate would skyrocket.
