I watch your videos all the time. Came across this while looking for a way to save flowers from my precious mother-in-loves funeral just two days ago.
I lost my mom in 1999 and what an empty place it leaves in our hearts. My mother in love was precious. My husband and I have been married for 30 years so she is like Mom to me and my heart hurts so much.
Wanted to say thank you for this video and say I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing Momma never leaves us. Big hugs to you.

I know the pain you were going through during this time. Its been 20 years since I lost my Daddy. And almost 2 years since I lost my Grandma and less than a year since my brother passed. I still have some flowers from my Grandma and brothers funeral and I will definitely be making these beads with them! Thank you for sharing this!

thank you so much for this video! I just lost my Dad very unexpectedly 2 weeks ago yesterday. I have all the flowers from his funeral and I wanted to find smething I could do with them and this is absolutely perfect! I will be doing this and making bracelets for my Mom, Sister and my self. Thank you so very much and I'm so sorry for your loss! it truly is the hardest thing I have ever gone through and people keep telling me it will get easier, but I don't see how. I miss him every second of every day and I always will.

Wendy Howard- hello Wendy.... it gives me a very heavy heart to hear about your loss! I am so sorry 😔 it's been a year and a half since I lost my mom and there is not a single day that goes by that I don't think of her and miss her terribly!!! I do know how u feel.... it does get easier as time goes on but the missing her never goes away!!! The urge to pick up the phone and call her is still there for me! Thank you for your message you will be in my thoughts! I'll tell u when my mom passed it bothered me so much when people would tell me she was in a better place now because in my eyes there is no better place then being here with me and her grand children, I know with all my heart people meant well but that was the one thing I didn't much like to hear and to this day I still don't like to hear it! I do now believe that my mom is still here with me just in a different way! Hugs to u

Kelly, don't apoligize for grieving, my dad's been gone 10 years this past Jan. and I still grieve for him. When I do my dried roses, I spray them first with Aqua Net Super hold hair spray, then hang them. After they are dried, I give them a couple of coats of clear spray. @3:51, what a beautiful arrangement, your mother was beautiful. Are you saying "Swamp Cooler"? And what is it? omgosh, I love this. I do alot of beading projects and now, you've just shown me how to make my own, it'll save me alot of money too. You are amazing.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how hard this was for me when my mom died a few years ago. 4 weeks ago my daughter died and someone told me about a relative she has that makes memorial flower jewelry. If I had seen your video I would have kept all of the beautiful flowers and made bracelets for my children. Your way of making the beds is much easier than other videos I have seen. Your video makes me think I can do this! I will try this with some flowers. Thank you.

Kelly, I love the memorial beads you made! Love that whole concept, great idea! So sorry about your mother. The photos you showed of your mother at the end of your video (wax dipping memorial flowers), were sweet. I'm sorry for your loss. You can see that you and your mother were close. So the beads are a wonderful way to have her near! God bless.

God bless you Kelly! My mother passed away when I was 44 years old, almost 7 years ago. I was, and still am, too young to be without my mother. I just pray I can find my mom's flowers unharmed after moving, so I can make beads with the flowers too. Thank you for sharing.Loretta

wow Kelly they are great beads. I love making jewellery with beads and have done for years. You have giving me a great idea. Instead of using flowers I can use my step sons ashes. We were all thinking how we all could have some, so he could be with all the family. He wanted to travel but was taken to soon for him to do this. This way Lee can travel all over and be with family at the same time..
I am sorry for your loss and the pain you have right now. Time does heal, you never forget and it still hurts but it will get easier. I lost my mother in law a year back, on your independents day 4th July. She was like my mother not just an in law. Her birthday and hubby's is 20th May. And lost my step son 3 years ago.
On your first video, at the end you had a song playing. Please tell me what it is called and who it is by. I really loved it. Wishing you all the best. Trina

I just happened to come across your video and I see that this was last year. In your voice there was so much sadness it just really touched my heart. Both my parents are gone and I know how I felt with that loss, I can only imagine how you feel. I pray you are stronger and I just appreciate the strength you showed in making this video in sharing this very personal and yet great idea in honoring your mom and blessing your brother with a gift as well. I'm exciting about watching this video (it's playing in the background as I send this note) I just wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss and I know how hard it is especially the first year facing each day, holiday etc without your loved one. You are in my prayers and again thank you.

Just came upon your video. First of all, sorry for your loss...Mom may be physically gone, but she is always with you! Your video class was very interesting. I suggest that after you have mixed your clay...then just make a long roll/string and then cut it to similar sizes and then roll them into beads. Great work! Hugs.

So sorry for the loss of your Mom. I can hear/know how much she meant to you and how much you miss her. I lost my Dad July 2014 and know that the hole in your heart never can get filled...I know, I tried to fill it with many things and God is the only thing that helped me to cope. Love your video and the memorial beads...I've saved the rose petals from my Dad's funeral, drying them as you have, and am just now wanting to do something with them. I'm going to make a rosary out of the petals. God bless you and keep on sharing your talents. Your Mom, I'm sure, is very proud of you.

Darlene Eschete I lost my Dad to cancer in 2008 I miss him so much. I don't have any of his funeral flowers but when I got back home I planted a climbing rose and a pot full of orange Lily's so I'll use them to make some beads, I know my Mum would love a bracelette made of these flowers as we put Dads ashes in with them a couple of years ago, so they are both special. Even if the flowers aren't significant, this is a great idea. You could use dried lavender buds in the clay and it would be beautiful. You can also take lava beads or cork beads and put a bit of essential oil on them. I would maybe separate those from the handmade beads with metal or glass. It could be a cute idea.

I was raised by my Gram and my Dad. She passed Nov 20th from complications from multi strokes that the nursing home told use "shes being stubborn and not talking" After finally being sent to the hospital they discovered she'd had multiple strokes😭She was my light and her very last word was "MOON". My entire life she'd say when you're sad and miss me just look at the moon my Jessi-Lee bc I'll be looking at that same moon missing you too" Then all these years later she'd still say that to me. I look at the moon every night and talk to her.

Awwhhh, Kelly, my heart goes out to you..I saw the shine in the beads to at the beginning and I too thought you used glitter...It was in the clay before baking...Anyway, I love this idea. I love the Rosary idea, as my hsb's family is Catholic and what a wonderful gift with a beautiful meaning behind it..IT is now Aug 2016 and I hope your grief is healing.. I don't ever think we get "over" something as horrible as losing our loved ones, but I do think with time we learn to live with it and the great memories, well, no one can ever take those away...I lost my dad when he had just turned 48 and then we had two kids in our family die unexpectedly. That yr was the yr I thought I had lost everything...that was 32 yrs ago..I miss my dad, every single day and my niece and nephew the same, but I will see them again and the next time it will be FOREVER never to part again..and I hold onto God's words about that...Bless you and your family, Kelly.. I could hear your little voice shaking..I really pray your doing better. Your mom wouldn't want you to cry, but as humans we do, but I am close to 60 now, seen a lot of grief in my life...but my faith is strong..THAT is what has gotten me thru the hard times...I will be praying for you..

With the bouquets of dried flowers, you could add small items she had, a hankie, a broach, etc., whatever you like, maybe add some pretty lace with it, and place the items with the flowers in a window box type frame, and they should last indefinitely.

Kelly Barlow Creations putting it through a pasta machine is the best thing to do, try not to add oil as later on the oil might bleed out of them. When I'm making beads or anything with polymer clay I work it between my palms while the rest of what I'm going to use I either sit on or put under my legs. The heat of your body is the best thing to use. I have had my family tuck a pack of clay here and there while they watch tv and I craft. Xxxx

Fimo is very easy to work with if you do research about it. :) You have to warm it up in your hands so the clay will soften your fingers won't hurt. You can make it super soft just by using the warmth of your hands and even smudge it.

I have some dried rose's from My anniversary in January and I am trying to decide if I want to try doing that is making some beds with them with the white Clay but I'm not sure if is something that I want to make something else with like a Cross if I can make it but the beads seem really easy to do even though you have to work with the clay a good bit

How did you dry them out? Did you use paraffin wax? I heard you can freeze them and spary a clear acrylic spray on them first. To preserve the way they look right then. Then hang upside down like you did....

Is there any way to put a clear coat or something that they can remain shiny or glossy afterwards?

Hi there. My Dad passed away 2 weeks ago. I would like to make a bracelet for myself, 2 sisters, 2 sisters-in-law and my Mom. Can you post the link to finishing the bracelet? I don't see it here. Thank you,

Rose beads can last. I have some that are 40+ years old. They were deep red and made black beads.

the clay that you already work and you put into a bag if you let it sit does it become harder and you have to rework it? this is a really great idea and I absolutely thinking about making some of these beads myself inspired by your video 4 gifts. sorry just wondering if it becomes you know back to being stiff and you have to rework it each and every time you're working with it or does it stay somewhat saw and you only have to work it a little bit to make the beads. again thank you for the inspiration I'm glad I stumbled upon this video but I am very very sorry for your loss I know that it's been over a year but I know it never gets easier. if you wouldn't mind letting me know that would be wonderful thank you so much

rachael libero yes, but it will be easier to re-condition the clay the second time, because the oils from your hand will have soaked into the clay already.

It's easy to condition clay if you know how to. Just roll and warm it in your hands. If it's crumbling alot, and a *tiny* bit of baby oil, or coconut oil, or any oil. Don't microwave it, it will melt the inside, and just heat it up. It will smoke, and that's just nit very good xD. So, just warm it up and add a bit of oil when necessary

How about rolling the clay with a rolling pin. Flipping the clay onto itself and rolling and rolling instead of using your fingers.
